Strengths:
  • Large cargo and passenger capacity
  • Can jam enemy vehicle sensors and defend against sensor jamming attacks
  • Heavy defenses
  • Heavy anti-infantry armament
Weaknesses:
  • Limited missile ammunition
  • Limited armament against armor/artillery
  • Slow, ponderous
  • Easy to detect on EM and thermal sensors once the secondary guns are fired
  • Infantry must operate some distance away from the vehicle because of the ERA's hazards
  • Mobile bunker becomes unstable in flight if flying altitudes are too high above ground (5 meters above ground or more at normal gravity)
Description: The M6 Annihilator is a mobile bunker whose hull is lined up with narrow gun ports, from which embarked infantry can fire small arms up to 12.7mm in caliber (or its equivalent in energy weapons) at enemies, safely protected by heavy armor and shields. It can carry 40 infantry troopers and also their cargo to last several days on their own in the field. The Annihilator is equipped with the Hexheim composite armor, whose outer tiles explode upon contact with projectiles or upon being hit by weapons other than ion/EMP weapons, and it is also equipped with shield generators. Also the electromagnetic plasma cannons have retractable barrels, making transportation easier, but it comes with a liability: when fired, they are very easy to detect on electromagnetic and thermal sensors and same goes, to a lesser extent, when the machineguns are fired to defend against infantry. The other cost of heavy defenses is low mobility, made worse if the driver drives the vehicle too high above ground.

As with all projectile-based weapons, the missile launcher has a limited ammunition capacity and the limited size of the ammunition magazine can become a liability in prolonged engagements. In addition, the armament suite is more geared towards engaging light vehicles and infantry than to fight enemy armor or artillery. Finally, infantry must operate some distance away from the vehicle since tiles exploding can be a hazard if they get in and fire too close.
