Name: Lyrae

Region: Inner Rim
System: Artemis System
Suns: 1
Orbital Position: Hospitable zone, 4th of 6 planets.
Moons: 1 heavily volcanic moon the size of Earth
System Features: 5 other planets. All planets closer are of no interest as they are barren and rocky. The fifth planet is a gas giant. The final planet is far from the star but holds vast metal resources that can be turned into durasteel. There is also a vast asteroid belt around the sun and at the edge of the system. The constant stream of asteroids constantly keeps the Lyrae Moon and Artemis VI supplied with fresh resources.
Coordinates: In that tiny vein of Republic space just east of Antar.
Rotational Period: 2.4 Earth days
Orbital Period: 1.6 standard years

Class: Super-Terrestrial.
Diameter: 2 times the size of Earth.
Atmosphere: Type I
Climate: Controlled
Gravity: 2 times standard
Primary Terrain: While covered in cities, natural environments include oceans, grassy lowlands surrounded by towering mountains, and sparse glacial tundra to the extremities.

Native Species: None intelligent
Immigrated Species: Mostly human, Twi'Lek, Rodian, and Ithorian.
Primary Languages: Galactic Basic and Huttese are standard. However, Mandalorian has made a mark in recent years and many other various languages are sparsely spoken due to the world's vast trading economy.
Government: Constitutional Republic
Population: 67.9 billion. Mostly humans.
Demonym: Lyraian (Li-ray-ian)
Major Imports: Basic living materials and stuffs though luxury trade is popular in larger cities.
Major Exports: Most Republic worlds trade ore in exchange. While ore is not found directly on the planet, it can be found in plentiful amounts on both the planet's moon and Artemis VI a short travel away.
Affiliation: Republic.

Major Locations: Bython Prime - The capitol of the planet; resembles a utopian city. Tons of trade rushes through the city at astonishing rates. The main transport veins are run by vast monorail and train highways where they carry passengers around the city and transport trade materials. The capital tower is coincidentally positioned next to a massive stock tower where investors meet everyday to gamble on planetary stocks. Despite all this it remains a green city with many residences maintaining luxury rooftop gardens or hothouses.
Kilinus Village - Hardly the most popular spot on the planet this small village is something you wouldn't expect to find on the planet. There is no native intelligence so there should be nothing here. But the village was founded by a group of amish type peoples known as The Brendai. These peoples are mixed in species but all share a similar idea; life away from galactic politics and war in isolation with only basic needs as worry. There are several other small villages nearby. What makes these so interesting? Well it is local lore that nearby caves are strong in the force and may contain rare saber crystals....
Enclave - Not far from Kilinus is a Jedi Enclave. The Enclave was built to study the mysterious levels of force sensitivity emitted by the grassland areas of the planet. While most Jedi in the enclave aren't proficient in combat, they are among the wisest and most well-versed Jedi in the Inner Rim.
Carlinius Military Base - A massive military instillation 450 miles south of Bython Prime. Before joining The Republic the instillation was supposed to defend the planet against any foreign influence considering the world's anti-faction early history. But when The Republic arrived to defend the world from Sith invaders, the planet joined in without a fight. Today the base serves as The Republic's main defensive HQ for the planet.
Lyrare Moon - The moon is a large volcanic fireball. While it is not possible for most species to live here, there are sparse Republic metal harvesting facilities similar to the ones on Mustafar. The planet also has a special significance to Sith. There are rumors of naturally occurring red crystals that grow on the shores of the hot magma rivers. The Republic guards these secrets well and detain many Sith trying to enhance their lightsabers with these powerful crystals, but for the daring Sith it holds a unique place in the galaxy.
Culture: Many old world religions still hold a tight grasp on the sparse Brendai population, but most of the planet's population exist in the trading metropolis that scatter the surface. The military is standardly Republic but there is a small Jedi Enclave near Kilinus. The Enclave is more of a place of learning and philosophy and not combat.
The government is fiercely pro-business conservative and the citizens like it that way. Poverty is mostly a thing of the past on the planet considering that most of the citizenry that can't afford the good life end up with the Brendai. The government's main concern is to ensure that it's sovereignty isn't overly infringed and to ensure that current trade routes maintain themselves. Without the trade routes, the planet would collapse overnight.
So of course daily life revolves around business, and because of the systems vast resources and trade; even the middle class citizens are considered wealthy by galactic standard. But recreation has a strong hold on the planet, as many homes have luxury fittings and many relaxing at-home activities take place. There are also cantinas, sports arenas, and museums littered across cities.
Technology: The planet is well up to date on technology and even a few years ahead in some aspects. The Brendai however, choose to live a primitive lifestyle. (similar to 12th century Europe)
History: The planet was stumbled upon by Republic explorers in 5000 BBY. It quickly became a private refuge for anyone sick of galactic politics or anyone wanting to start their own government. The republic didn't see it as much of a concern at first.
So it isn't as if the planet was totally unknown to The Republic. The planet refused to join the faction and argued for permanent sovereignty. They became a self-sufficient conglomerate in their own right. They began trading with Sith worlds in secret after The Republic refused trading rights.
From there the planetary wealth expanded dramatically overnight. It was only after The Jedi Civil War when the Sith nearly conquered the planet in a stunning act of betrayal that the planet joined The Republic. With an open trade infinitely larger in possibility after The Jedi Civil War, the planet became a core value.
The Gulag Plague devastated the planet. Food became contaminated, the crowded cities were overwhelmed, and trade was halted to prevent any further infection. Government collapsed overnight. Riots were rampant and many fled cities in search for better pastures. Namely joining the Brendai.
But the Brendai turned many of the settlers away at the first sign of plague. No way did they want that virus spreading in their camps. So they went through an even longer period of isolation. When the plague ended, the cities were quickly rebuilt and colonized again. The planet joined The Republic, eager to rebuild it's ore trading empire.
Brendai Culture: The Brendai live a very simple life. Centered around nature and spirituality (not to be confused with organized religion) the Brendai make up for their lack of technology in philosophy and wisdom. When the Jedi returned after the plague, it had been many generations since the Brendai had seen them.
They were greeted as mages and Gods by many of the Brendai, and others remember them as they were. Either way The Jedi were welcomed back with open arms as heroes. Their commerce is centered around local village currencies and around markets and taverns. There is no government in the normal sense of the word, more like a small group of community minded individuals, which changes each day, meet in a town hall fashion to discuss important matters. Agriculture is local and in larger villages there is sparse trade between them. There is constant peace since they are not militaristic and there hasn't been a major invasion of the planet in almost 5000 years.

Notable PCs: <Native or immigrant player-characters>
Intent: To create a fascinating and diverse world with a few new themes to it and something to attract both Jedi and Sith.

Very nicely composed.

I have some minor things which I’d like addressed but nothing major. I’d suggest you reduce the planet size down, since super terrestrial worlds and moons aren’t well attributed and shouldn’t get this large. I’d suggest a maximum of twice Earth size.

I’d like a section on the Brendai in the culture. Basically, tell me about them, and more about them in the culture area.

Give a little more history relating to the ‘modern’ day, IE the timeline of SWRP. Nothing too extravagant, but just mention the impact of the Gulag Plague on the planet and how it came to be in the current Republic.

Other than that, great job! @mention me when ready.
