SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Exactly What’s Needed: Ultralight, moisture-wicking, flame-retardant, odor-resistant, and insulated material is an excellent material for clothing lining, underclothes, upholstery, insulating fabric, and more. Its ability to resist ambient pressure, radiation, temperature, and similar conditions, combined with its durability only underscores Lux-Silk as the top choice for many such purposes.
STRENGTHS:
  • Comfort and Resilience: Lux-Silk is soft to the touch, due to extremely high thread count. Resilient against moisture, odors, temperatures, pressure, and more. It makes an exceptional inner lining for clothes or material for underclothing, and can be used in a variety of purposes, from upholstery to insulating material.
WEAKNESSES:
  • It’s Cloth, Not Phrik: Lux-Silk is designed for quality, comfort, and style, not as a protective material. It yields only slightly better than average protection against kinetic damages, and virtually none against any other type of weapon or damage.
DESCRIPTION

Lux-Silk is practically weightless, and yet its thin, padded nature, silky feel, and resistance to ambient environmental conditions, moisture, flame, odor, and its ability to take a great deal of normal wear and tear make it ideal for upholstery, insulation material, and even as underclothing and lining for clothing, able to keep wearers comfortable even amidst arduous conditions for long periods of time. It is expensive, and painstakingly made, facts which attribute to its relative rarity.

Not meant to be protective against various kinds of weapons, or suitable for any semblance of stand-alone armored clothing, it lacks defenses against most every type of damage, save only for its durability and resistance to tears, cuts, and abrasions. Instead, its uses are less sensational and more luxurious, hence its name: Lux-Silk.
