- Adjustable Cone and Spread of Discharge - In general, a wider spread or cone of fire gives lower accuracy at range in exchange for increased area of effect capability (thereby enhancing room clearing / multi-target lethality), while a narrower spread allows for more accuracy at range and a more concentrated damage output. - Particle Beam - Considered to be the standard energy module, this module fires unstable particle bolts that deal damage in much the same way as a typical scatterblaster—via sheer energy output and concussive impact. However, it should be noted that the discharged bolts have an explosive effect upon connecting with a shield or solid object.
- Stun - Fires stun a spray of stun bolts intended to leave targets unconscious by overloading their nervous system(s).
- Ion - Fires a spray of ionized particle bolts that are effective against electronics and can feasibly overload shields in the manner of an electromagnetic pulse. - Modularity - Lucia’s ETL-36 retains most of the modularity of the stock variant. However, as the weapon has already been heavily customized to fit her needs, it generally has only a few additional modifications.
- Extreme Power - Lucia’s ETL-36 has been modified, customized, and enhanced to a bleeding edge. Accordingly, owing to the incorporation of a Trandoshan tripler and an amplifying chamber, it is a weapon of extreme power, with more than triple the firepower of the stock variant.
- Recoil Support - A recoil reduction module incorporated into the weapon helps to tame the ETL-36’s recoil, making it snappier and easier to shoot.
- Capacity - Owing to its increased power output, Lucia’s ETL-36 has a quarter of the stock variant’s ammunition capacity. Accordingly, it generally has less endurance in the field, forcing Lucia to carry more power cells.
- Mechu-deru - Like any piece of technology, Lucia’s ETL-36 is susceptible to Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce a jam or some other mechanical failure that might compromise the weapon entirely or demand precious time to fix, leaving the shooter vulnerable.
- Short Range - The spread barrel modification has lowered the effective range of Lucia’s ETL-36 from the stock variant. In that regard, this is no longer a weapon capable of the versatility that medium range engagement capability brings.
An uprated, modified customization of the stock ETL-36 Assault Blaster Rifle, the ETL-36 Assault Scatterblaster Rifle is built off of what was previously a relatively standard blaster platform to be transformed into a brutal, CQC-oriented scatterblaster. Among the modifications made to the rifle, the most significant is the addition of a spread barrel that splits the beam output, turning the weapon into a scatterblaster. For extra firepower, a Trandoshan tripler and an amplifying chamber more than triples the energy output from the stock variant. While Lucia’s main focus was on increasing the rifle’s damage potential and close-quarters performance, she did not neglect utility. In this regard, the weapon includes a recoil reduction module that gives it a lower recoil than the factory variant, in spite of the increased power output. Finally, a silencer, stealth coating, and blaster gas mask gives the weapon a low profile, making it difficult to detect via scanners and sensors.
All in all, Lucia has built her customized version of the ETL-36 as her new primary weapon, so that she may better serve her Kainite Sith masters.
