STRENGTHS
  • Walker Transport: The LAHAT has only one purpose, and that is to transport a single AT-HA and deposit it onto the battlefield. It does this particularly well.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low Armament: The LAHAT only has enough weaponry to momentarily dissuade attacks, nothing to serve as a dedicated combat gunship like its smaller cousins.
DESCRIPTION

Designed and produced alongside the All-Terrain Heavy Artillery walker, the Low Altitude Heavy Artillery Transport serves the purpose of moving AT-HAs down from planetary assault cruisers to the battlefield.

Lightly armed, the LAHAT was built for no other purpose. Each LAHAT could carry a maximum of one AT-HA at a time.

When landing, the LAHAT utilizes the extendable legs of the AT-HA to find purchase and stability before the magnetic clamps detach and the walker is allowed to move about once the transport has departed. In strenuous situations, the LAHAT was capable of using the AT-HA's mass driver cannon as a weapon, though this was unadvised for typical combat situations.
