The east courtyard: On the other side of the main towers is the east courtyard, where a zen garden was built for those whose needs for stress relief include meditation and other activities of that nature. Shielded from the noises of the outside world, the zen garden offers an environment where relaxation is key for all the occupants.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Lord Mettallum was promised one of the five Porg health retreats in exchange for a 20% stake in the venture, with the remainder funded using the ORC Navy's investment funds. Loronar was thus chosen as a Colonies-based trial run for the concept. When construction was underway, an architectural contest was launched; the winning design for the Loronar Porg Health Retreat was designed by an Atrisian refugee. It was decided that it would also contain several amenities, such as a restaurant for healthy lifestyles, an infirmary, which is used in part for physical therapy, in part for other stress relief activities, and also the six auxiliary towers, manned by Porg masseurs, and also by other Porg personnel trained in other forms of stress relief. In addition, a hotel was built in the main two buildings of the complex in order to attract off-world patrons. Finally, a fitness center occupies the basement, where the patrons can engage in a variety of exercises, regardless of whether or not it is mandated by their healthcare plans.
