Private Lord of Blood

SHIRAYA EXPANSE
Aboard the Jericho

It had been nearly seventy-two hours.

Whenever possible, the Vampyre did his absolute best not to go on mission when his Signifer was absent. For one, keeping the Jericho afloat was an infinitely more difficult task without her expertise. For another, Yeshua did not enjoy going into combat without her. For the first time in his eternal youth, he found that he was not alone. He was accepted, cared for, and found himself relying upon these things. The quiet moments between each sortie brought the Vampyre to new levels of peace. Thus, he would not fight without her - for to do so would be to fight without half of himself.

Yet, the defense of the Ascendancy could seldom wait.

The timing was horrid. Yeshua had only just seen the ashen-haired woman off. Her own journey in the Force carried her away from his side at times, and during these moments he would put the vessel as off-duty as possible. Patrols if he couldn't get away with direct inaction. But, orders came from the top brass to investigate a Bando Gora formation in an adjacent system. As a larger, more capable vessel, command did not anticipate any issues. And so, Yeshua and the crew moved out.

That was the last time they had made contact.

A dangerous chuckle filled the Vampyre's ears.

Yeshua's eyes fluttered. He did not know how long he had been out, let alone where he was. Yet all he knew was pain. Unbeknowest to him, he was still aboard the Jericho - albeit, in a severely disabled state. The backup power was on, causing the only source of light to be the crimson emergency beacons strewn about. He attempted to move and found that his hands were bound above his head. Beyond this, he became increasingly aware of the blood which flowed freely from the top of his head.

"W-Wha?" he stammered as his vision began to steady. It was hard to make out what he saw. All he could see was darkness and robed figures. His instincts said Bando Gora - most likely a boarding party.

"You waste your talents here." said one of the figures, suddenly clutching the Vampyre's jaw. "I know who you are, what you are. Aren't you tired of hiding it?"

"Go feth yourself."

His defiance was rewarded with a fist in his gut and lightning coursing through his veins.

ATTIRE Scion
THE 'DANAE'

Finnea hated Icarus for many reasons, like how she felt alone among Scions and cultist, devoted men and women worshiping the left handed God but mostly it was the way it separated her from Yeshua so often. She was the Seers only apprentice which was an honor even if she felt his disappointment in her most days but none the less, he had taught her how to open her mind and broadened her horizon to dip into her true potensial. She didn't regret becoming his apprentice but it was hard for her to have to leave Jericho and especially Yeshua as often as she did. If it hadn't been for the incredible temple filled with knowledge and the taste she got of power , she'd never come back here.

This morning, Finnea sat by one of the large pillars that had an incredible view over a wast desert landscape bathed in sun. She liked to sit here whenever she was asked to meditate in order to strengthen her connection with the force as it was hidden and thus offered her the luxury of solitude. But there would be no meditation today. Her personal pad alerted her with an urgent incoming message that surely was from Jericho, calling her back for a mission but no. It was from another officer within the Ascendancy fleet asking her for any relevant information she might have on Jericho's current location which confused her greatly. Why were they looking for Jericho?Had something happened? Quickly pulling up the log from Jericho and the last thing that could be found was it's confirmation for the mission to investigate the Bando Gora. It had been missing for seventy-two hours!

"Yeshua.."
She mumbled with pure concern. Seventy-two hours. A lot could have happened within that time frame.
Her own private vessel would never hold up in any battle; one shot and it'd be torn to pieces like it was made of sand but it was never intended for battle either. With it's lithe and incredibly fast technology and ability to stay hidden in plain sight, 'the Danae' was made for speed more than anything else and it stood waiting when it's pilot came running. She would have to explain her sudden leave from Icarus later and take the consequences then but right now her guts were churning with anxiety. She already knew that whatever had happened to Jericho wasn't good, that much was obvious. Quickly taking off from Icarus, Finnea could only cross her fingers that she'd be able to pick up more information of it's current whereabouts once she got onboard one of the other Ascendancy ships but for now all she could do was gather as much information she could from different investigations already made by the Ascendancy fleet and avoid that swelling feeling of despair.

But it was so hard to ignore when it involved him.
