I am looking for some people who have experience playing a character who is, well, completely insane, to rp with. This is my first character who is insane, so I'd like to get some experience and tips. Thanks!

There are actually a lot of options you can work with when playing an insane character. Any particular thing you were looking for? 'cos I've got crazy but also mental disorders (ranging from few and stacked up).
I recommend to look up the mental disorders (diagnosis and symptoms specifically). They're a great help. They've helped me a lot, especially with my character who has mental disorders.

With this particular alt I decided to make him highly unperdictable and really it's his addiction to drugs that causes his outbursts. If I wrote him more I'm sure he'd be dead by now.
I have another character who had Multiple Personality Disorder.
I have one with Stolkholms Syndrome. One with PTSD. And even one who just acts crazy even though he's not 'cause the Galaxy is just a show.

[member="Curupira Hawk"]- I think the closest one is probably schizoaffective disorder, because my character hears voices in his head, a lot, and they cause him to be unpredictable, uncontrollably violent, and hysteric. There is more information in my bio.

Another warning: my character is strong in the Force, and like I said, unpredictable and uncontrollable, if he goes off the rails, he goes off them hard. Don't let that discourage you though

[member="Otium Mentis"] Then you definitely need to utilize google. Symptoms. They will offer you a lot of help. From what I know, since one of my characters dances around this disorder is delusions, hallucinations (voices are a good start in this) but there's also emotional spikes, paranoia. There's a show that plays on this disorder quite intently. The main character has regular conversations with people who don't exist (or who died). Continued conversations.
I rather enjoyed the show.
My borderline character (her hallucination is actually a haunting but it effects her the same) has crazy emotional spikes. Uber happy in one second, super sad in the next and things like that. Along with that, she gets from her mother her need to ramble which is amplified drastically by her condition.

Very unpredictable and experiences sudden surges of emotion, usually depending on which voice in his head is the strongest at the time, as because of the unique way his insanity works, where the final emotion of every person h kills becomes another voice in his head, he has dozens of different voices jockeying for prominence. He can burst out laughing one moment, then blast you with lighting the next, though because of the dark side inside of him he leans much more towards violence.

I've been roleplaying for a good portion of my life, seven years almost eight this year. I can easily write up an insane character to roleplay with. I've got extensive history with psychedelics, schizophrenia, mania, audible and visual hallucinations, night terrors, psychopathic tendencies, and a plethora of other things that help me play 'disturbed' characters. PM me and we can talk about a story you'd like to put together, like I could make a sith lord and you be the apprentice, or I could be a disturbed bounty hunter who tracks you down. However, have an idea, and this applies to everyone, what say all three of you, and anyone else who wants to, comes to Korriban, and meets Otium. You all want to either teach him, make him an ally, or learn from him, but he, in his twisted mind, tells you you have to be tested and runs into the tombs, so now all of you have to chase a completely insane, unpredictable, uncontrollably violent, and Force-sensitive individual through the Korriban tombs. What do you all think?

Thanks for the invite but Korriban is not a place Curupira has any interest of visiting any time soon. Especially since her return from the darkside has been fairly recent.
When you're off Korriban, I can suggest a random encounter with my character who also has her own "imaginary friend" as she refers to her little issue. I'm sure they'll find to have a lot in common. And then Kat will have the audacity to call your character crazy.
