Ghruna
Daughter of Jhyrack
I’m looking for threads for Ghruna, a young Maldrani Sith acolyte currently affiliated with the Covenant. Her story is very much a coming of age narrative set inside the brutality of Sith culture.
Maldrani are basically a species I made of half-minotaurs.
Ghruna grew up on a remote Maldrani world where fragments of ancient Sith teachings survived long after the Empire that created them collapsed. The philosophy was preserved, but filtered through generations of isolation and warrior tradition.
The world is ruled by three kings, her father is one of those kings. That confers her no power and she'd be expected to fight for influence back home.
Unfortunately for her she has recently been sent from her isolated homeworld to learn about the Sith hierarchy. A big part of her story is learning that power in the galaxy isn’t just about strength. There is politics and deception.
I'm quite open to any kind of stories as part of this coming of age story.
A few possible ideas:
1) A sith sends Ghruna after a target that is supposed to be a simple test. It turns out the situation is far more complicated than expected. This could be a rival Force user, a criminal gang, or even a Jedi who refuses to fight the way she expects. Or could be she is sent with another acolyte.
2)
Ghruna ends up in a place like Nar Shaddaa, Coruscant, or some other dense urban environment and has to navigate a world of deception, crime, and politics that she doesn't deal well with. Could just be some simple slice of life. The way the wider galaxy does friendship and romance is entirely alien to her.
3)
A straightforward physical confrontation with another warrior character. Ghruna respects strength above all else and tends to bond with people she fights.
4) Someone older or more experienced takes an interest in her. This could be genuine mentorship, cynical manipulation, or a bit of both.
5)
Ghruna gets seriously wounded. She's tough but takes a long time to heal. Needs to admit to needing help.
