Looking For Faction

Jack Ross

"I don't believe in good or evil."
I figured this is the place to post this instead of the Cooler. I'm looking for a faction to join. I want a faction that is neutral. Essentially something like a bounty hunter faction or something. So anyone want to pitch their faction to me? Hahaha.

I dunno if we are neutral. But the hutt cartel does have that type of roles for sure. in our midst most members are contractors, working the job that suits them, allowed to come and go as they please. However, naturally, sooner or later most peeps get caught in the hutt schemes. That part is f course up to you though.

Easy.

The Trading Conglomerate is a new faction, to start. Because of that and its natural neutrality, there's a lot of flexibility involved. It isn't some massive, horrible leap for your character either. You're not all of the sudden a Jedi, or a member of the Sith. You're a part of a lucrative trade empire in the making, inspired by but not to be mistaken with the Trade Federation; far more multi-dimensional and not nearly as comical-- though we do have our moments, I'm sure  Businesses coming together, new worlds in the unknown regions being found and conquered, be it diplomatic or through show of force.

On the other end, there's a lot of room for potential leadership and faction shaping. Each new member, seeing as they're some of the original, will in some way shape the way the Conglomerate interacts with the rest of the galaxy. There are a bunch of options for joining, also. Fellow merchant, employee to one of the various companies involved, specialist of some sort. Even a soldier military provider of some kind, anything, informant, mole, you name it. Other than that I try and make the faction threads as much fun as possible, and the faction's heads (including myself) are consistently active and very responsive to PMs should you need them.

What more must I say? Amirite?

How powerful are the Hutts here on the board?

As you can see there is no shortage of factions or players claiming huge power bases.
The cartel is no exception and we even limit ourself on certain areas focusing on criminal bussiness.

However, the faction system on chaos sets two levels of factions. Minor and major. The difference is that major factions control worlds. They perform this in various ways and cant forbid others to hold influence or rp on them but at the end of the day the major faction are assumed to be able to pull the heaviest powerbase in their own controlled systems.

The hutt cartel is the most recent approved major faction with a seat in the traditional "hutt space"
So while alot of factions or individual PCs claim criminal empires we can state that our members are the most influental in our space. And our members have a very strong backing when claiming their own power bases.

Chaos is about writing however - and you just like anyone else can describe your power base without recognizing the faction system. Anyone who manages to achieve enough credebility and respect will be able to do so. Wether it lasts or is recognized for long is however a question of activity and seriousness you claim and I like to believe that the faction system will help you with that.
