Misc. Equipment: Much like the EMBU and Mantis droids currently under production by Eshan Industrial Corporation, this droid is equipped with an advanced friend or foe identification function based on known symbolism and armor types, as well as the same capability possessed by YVH-1's to see through Ooglith Masquers. Sensors and communications systems allow for the droid, which isn't overly tall, to be an effective scout droid as well.
Description: In light of the numbers of enemy components that are incapable of being breached by laser weaponry, and the fact that most scout units are easily recognized and dispatched, the necessity for new technology in the defense against both Yuuzhan Vong and Sith alike. In deducing the best path for accomplishing this task, studies were conducted of both the combat statistics for EMBU droids and YVH-1 droids. Their combat data was analyzed to determine the necessary tactics for going both undiscovered and discovering the true enemy in a given playing field. This technology was simplified and applied to a much smaller droid brain, making it capable of installation in a smaller vessel. These advancements are made possible through the considerable advancements in droid technology that has been ongoing through EIC's technology division, EchaniTech.
It was determined that the most likely methodology for this task was the construction of a smaller vessel, based on a recognizable source: the dog. As such, a quadrapedal form was quickly constructed with the same skeleton of a dog. Armored with Agrinium, and titanium teeth, and bearing a sticky explosive depositor in its tail, the droid is programmed to act and behave like a dog, and to answer to commands as if it were a dog. In this case, the dog has multiple command functions based on roles. One is its attack role, where it actively seeks out enemy vehicles to deposit adhesives to, preferably on the underside. The other role is as a fast moving scout droid, capable of running through underbrush and peeking out without being noticed as most droids would be. The last is as a guard dog, capable of serving as the faithful companion to an individual and defending them with simple commands.
The droid is susceptible to EMP blasts, as it is not shielded against them. It's armor, although strong, is not incapable of being penetrated by modern blaster technology. In addition, due to the small size, it was not able to be equipped with the Echani personal shielding technology that EMBU's are equipped with.
