PRODUCTION INFORMATION

  • Manufacturer: Lilaste Order Armory Division | Aurora Station
  • Affiliation: Lilaste Order | Diarchy
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: LO-KI/22 Standard Slug Round
  • Modularity: Limited (Alternate tip configurations available: tracer, armor-piercing, etc.)
  • Production: Mass Produced
  • Material:
    • Casing/Core: Forged Kov'dra alloy (high-hardness, lightsaber-resistant material)
    • Propellant/Charge: Iadrium (solid-state explosive)
    • Stabilization jacket: Tensile-durasteel or plastoid alloy (optional for high-velocity rifles)

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Kov'dra Core: A solid penetrator made from forged Kov'dra. Its extreme hardness and shock-hardened matrix give the slug exceptional structural integrity on impact and high resistance to thermal and plasma exposure.
  • Iadrium Propellant: Solid-form Iadrium provides a high-energy, stable burn that yields increased muzzle velocity and a hot aftershock on impact, increasing thermal trauma and reducing the effectiveness of many shielding geometries.
  • Non-Electronic Design: Fully mechanical/chemical round — immune to EMP/ion effects that disrupt guided or electronic munitions.
  • Refraction Jacket (optional): Stabilization jacket helps preserve slug shape at hypersonic speed and assists in reducing yaw on long-range shots.
  • Thermal Sink Collar: A thin jacket around the penetrator absorbs a portion of the Iadrium aftershock and conducts heat away from the tip to reduce cook-off risk in magazines and lower immediate surface temperature on strikes.
  • Incendiary Aftercharge Option: A small, mechanically-activated incendiary insert that produces localized thermal damage after penetration to complicate internal repair and target extraction (designed as an optional tip, not part of the baseline AP slug).
  • Frangible Nose Option: Alternate nose geometry that fragments on high-strain impact to produce local trauma against unarmored opponents while retaining a dense Kov'dra rear section for partial penetration.
  • Sabot-ejection Anti-Jamming Geometry: Sabot and jacket geometry prevents stovepipe or chamber jamming in high-rate weapons, designed to work with standard Lilaste platforms.
  • Modular Tip Adapter (mechanical): Bayonet-style nose module accepts mission tips (HP, AP-cap, tracer, incendiary). Swapable without altering the core; preserves baseline ballistics.

STRENGTHS
  • Beskar Penetration: Specifically engineered to pierce Beskar and similarly resistant alloys.
  • Exceptional Penetration: The forged Kov'dra penetrator maintains shape and mass on impact, giving superior penetration against hard armor, plating, and vehicle light-skinned armor.
  • Structural Integrity: Kov'dra core resists deformation and shattering on impact, ensuring reliable post-penetration performance and predictable penetration profiles.
  • High Muzzle Velocity: Iadrium propellant delivers high initial velocity, improving flat trajectory, time-to-target, and hit probability at long ranges.
  • Thermal Aftershock: Iadrium produces residual heat on impact that increases internal damage, complicates immediate repairs, and reduces the effectiveness of many shield regeneration systems.
  • EMP/ION Immunity: Fully mechanical design (no guidance/electronics) means rounds are unaffected by EMP/ion fields that disable smart munitions.
  • Platform Versatility: Configurable for use across a range of Lilaste Order weapons (slugthrowers, DMRs, selected heavy sidearms) and compatible with optional stabilization jackets or sabots.
  • Magazine Stability: Solid penetrator reduces deformation during feeding, lowering jam/tombstone risk in harsh environments.
  • Optional Modular Tips: Alternate payloads (frangible, incendiary, shear-ring) let the round be tailored to mission needs without changing core ballistic behavior.
  • Recoverable & Reusable Core: The Kov'dra penetrator maintains structural integrity after many engagements and can be recovered from strike zones largely intact. Retrieved cores that pass inspection may be re-jacketed with a fresh Iadrium charge and stabilization jacket for return to service, reducing long-term material costs and allowing limited reuse

WEAKNESSES
  • Explosive Risk: Damage to a loaded magazine or unstable environment may trigger a sympathetic detonation due to Iadrium, especially in extreme heat.
  • Overpenetration: Slugs may pass through lightly armored targets with minimal energy transfer, reducing terminal stopping power.
  • Unstable Storage (Iadrium): While more stable in solid form, Iadrium must still be carefully stored; high pressure or environmental exposure may degrade performance or risk ignition.
  • Low Effectiveness vs Non-Armored Targets: The round's features are optimized for armor and Force-users; against unarmored targets, it may be excessive or wasteful.

DESCRIPTION
The LO-KI/22 Standard Slug Round is a specialist, high-velocity armor-piercing cartridge designed around a forged Kov'dra penetrator and a compact Iadrium propellant charge. Built for precision engagement of hardened targets, the round pairs the extreme hardness and thermal resilience of Kov'dra with a stable, high-energy solid charge to produce a hypersonic slug that retains shape and mass on impact. The result is predictable, repeatable penetration against reinforced personal armor, light vehicle plating, and hardened positions where conventional ball ammunition or blaster fire are ineffective.

On firing the Iadrium charge delivers a rapid, high-pressure impulse that accelerates the Kov'dra core to flat, fast trajectories reducing lead and time-to-target for long-range shots. The Kov'dra penetrator's shock-hardened matrix resists deformation, spalling, and thermal erosion from plasma interactions; it tends to punch cleanly through hard barriers while leaving an intense localized thermal aftershock from Iadrium combustion that complicates immediate repairs and can degrade many field shielding systems. Stabilization jackets, sabots, or base-bleed variants can be fitted for specialized roles extended range, reduced ricochet, or controlled terminal effects without changing the slug's core ballistic signature.

Operationally the LO-KI/22 functions as a targeted tool rather than a general-purpose round. It excels at neutralizing armored threats and disabling lightly armored vehicles or emplacements with high reliability and predictable wound channels; in close urban or anti-personnel applications its high penetration can produce overpenetration and collateral risk. the LO-KI/22 is a flagship example of the Lilaste Order's philosophy: efficiency through precision, and domination through innovation.

Variants
KI/22-HP (Hollow-Point modular tip)

Role: CQB / anti-personnel urban variant.
Features: Bonded hollow-point tip with polymer ballistic cap, reduced Iadrium charge to keep expansion window, blunt ogive to encourage yaw and controlled energy dump.
Notes: Low overpenetration, optimized for breachers and close-quarters teams.

KI/22-F (Frangible / Breach)

Role: Close-range breaching and anti-material against fragile components.
Features: Pre-scored frangible nose that disintegrates on high-strain impact, rear Kov'dra shank for limited penetration, reduced-impulse charge to prevent premature shatter, low-flash venting.
Notes: Ideal for destroying circuitry, sensors, and thin composite panels without dangerous spall.

KI/22-S (Subsonic / Suppressed)

Role: Covert recon and suppressed engagements.
Features: Tuned progressive-burn set to subsonic impulse, acoustic-damping coating, low-flash microchannel venting, polymer cap for reliable feeding, tracer option disabled by default.
Notes: Shorter effective range; used by recon and infiltration teams.

KI/22-APC (AP-Capped / Angled-Armor)

Role: Angled-armour engagements where AP/19 is unavailable.
Features: Sacrificial AP cap and ballistic cap to improve impact stability on sloped surfaces, progressive HV mode, reinforced jacket to resist cap-shedding.
Notes: Not a replacement for AP/19 — optimized for sloped armor defeat and better on angled hits.

KI/22-EQ (Anti-Equipment / Electronic Disruption)

Role: Disable electronics, sensors, and internal systems without excessive overpenetration.
Features: Controlled-fragmentation mid-ring producing predictable, low-mass flakes; controlled-spall arrestor liner; reduced thermal aftershock to avoid destroying targeted components outright.
Notes: Used against comms arrays, power converters, and vehicle sensor stacks.

KI/22-SAB (Sabot / DMR & Heavy Platforms)

Role: Long-range precision and anti-material on DMR/heavy platforms.
Features: Sabot-compatible design with boattail ogive, high-BC Kov'dra penetrator, refraction stabilization jacket optional, HV progressive-burn tuning for maximum flat trajectory.
Notes: Requires weapons with appropriate sabot acceptance; highest long-range accuracy in KI/22 family.

KI/22-PET (Deployable Internal Petals)

Role: Maximize internal disruption after penetration while limiting pass-through.
Features: Passive spring-deployed petals that open after armor breach to shred internals and complicate extraction; setback-only mechanical arming; paired with medium-impulse charge.
Notes: Use against personnel inside light vehicles, armored hulls, or tech racks where internal shredding is the objective.

Very cool sub again! Because these are Factory subs and not canon materials, I'd like to ask you to link them to the template or to the premade fields:
  • Casing/Core: Forged Kov'dra alloy (armor-piercing, Force-resistant)
  • Propellant/Charge: Iadrium (solid-state explosive)
