AMMUNITION SEQUENCE

Repeating Pattern:

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Material Degradation Sequencing:
Corrosive Sabot rounds are spaced to weaken structural materials over time rather than dissolve them instantly, enabling controlled breach progression.
  • Armor Softening Doctrine:
CSR impacts are positioned to precede AP or kinetic strikes, increasing penetration probability against hardened surfaces and reinforced plating.
  • Anti-Fortification Optimization:
Designed to degrade bunkers, emplacements, vehicle hull sections, and structural cover through cumulative chemical erosion.
  • Feed-System Isolation Design:
Corrosive payloads are fully sealed until impact, preventing contamination of weapon internals or ammunition links during sustained fire.
  • Breach-State Compatibility:
Works in coordination with Lilaste Order fire-control systems that prioritize weakened materials, exposed interiors, and compromised structural points.

STRENGTHS
  • Highly Effective Against Hardened Cover and Fortifications:
Corrosive exposure progressively weakens bunkers, walls, and armored structures.
  • Increases Penetration Success Over Time:
Chemical degradation lowers material resistance, allowing follow-on AP rounds to defeat targets otherwise resistant to kinetic fire alone.
  • Excellent for Deliberate Breach Operations:
Ideal for fixed defenses, urban strongpoints, and prepared enemy positions.
  • Reduces Ammunition Waste Against Heavy Cover:
Converts previously ineffective kinetic impacts into meaningful structural damage.
  • Synergizes With Sustained-Fire Platforms:
Performance improves the longer contact is maintained on a single structure or position.

WEAKNESSES
  • Low Effectiveness Against Mobile Targets:
Corrosive effects require repeated impacts on the same surface to be effective.
  • Minimal Immediate Lethality Against Infantry:
CSR rounds are optimized for material damage rather than personnel neutralization.
  • Environmental Sensitivity:
Extreme cold, vacuum exposure, or rapid surface shedding can reduce corrosive efficiency.
  • Increased Maintenance Requirements:
Weapons employing CSR-heavy belts require thorough post-engagement inspection and cleaning.
  • Limited Tactical Flexibility:
Poor performance in fast-moving assaults or rapidly shifting engagements.

DESCRIPTION
The LO-ABP/05 "Corrosive Breach" Belt is a purpose-built tool for defeating enemies who hide behind structure rather than maneuver. Built around LO-CSR/45 Corrosive Sabot rounds, this belt applies controlled chemical degradation to armor, fortifications, and hardened cover, gradually reducing their protective value under sustained fire.

Rather than dissolving material instantly, the belt is engineered to soften and weaken targeted surfaces, allowing follow-on kinetic and armor-piercing rounds to exploit compromised integrity. Periodic EMP-1 rounds disrupt automated defenses, sensors, and power-assisted fortification systems, ensuring that once a breach begins, it cannot easily be stabilized or repaired under fire.

Issued primarily to emplaced weapons, vehicle-mounted cannons, and heavy infantry tasked with breaching operations, the Corrosive Breach Belt is not a blunt instrument. It is deliberate, methodical, and unforgiving. Given time and sustained contact, no wall remains intact.
