Kat'Lariah Syphex

Don't. Even. Think about it.
Mentally, Kat berated herself. Listening to a mysterious voice inside your head was never a good idea.... but she did it anyways, leaving the three others behind. Taking a seat at the table as a small battle waged around her was most certainly the most insane thing she'd ever done! "So...uh...hi?" she said aloud.

Ilium wanted to discuss a plan of action to get off the ship.

"Hi Ma'am, I'm Ilium. I think we should first discuss a plan of action on how we're even going to get the ship and steal it. Second I want to get all that are interested to come over here without making a huge announcement. I said that so if we need to steal a bigger craft we can. Sound like a good plan to you?"

Razel turned to look at the woman, bewildered by her sudden leaving of the battle. He turned around just in time to kick a trandoshan approaching him, a loud bone-crack sound heard and the pirate falling down. Razel stuck his hand out and made a small hole in the energy cell of the pirates weapon, it's power visibly sending rays of electricity through Razel's finger. His eye flashed red as he scanned. As suspected, this damn ship lacked any viable means of escape.

"The pirate ship may indeed have our only means of escape."

Though he did not mention it, his scanning did indicate the crystal he noted before was in the womans bag. Maybe they were having a nice little chat with the force or something. He didn't know, but what he did know was that now was not a good time for it.

"Lady, now's not the time to take a seat!"

As expected they followed Riimarus in the search for the pods. The Chiss lead the way shooting pirates and worms and taking cover on the enemy's counterattack. They cleared their way until Razel used his scanner to acknowledge that the ship didn't have escape pods and their only way out would be the pirate ship.

The woman sat down as nothing was happening and started to talk to herself. Riimaurus thought that she was having a nervous breaking down or something, although she didn't look the kind of person that has problem with a war scenario. He expected of her pretty much the opposite reaction by the way she shot those pirates. So he assumed that was her thing rather than any unstable mental reaction to the situation. Riimaurus kept shooting anyone that showed a threat to them. "I don't know if this is thing that your people do. But if wanna stay alive it's better that you don't take too long" Said the Chiss while blasted another pirate on the head.

"Well we're gonna have mad-lib this. Step one is gonna have to be find a ship." she whispered to the shard. Everyone thought she was insane already. No reason to make them think she was a liability. Kat stood and returned to the group. "Most of the pirates are coming from the bow. We should head in that direction"

Ilium liked the smarts this woman had.

"Yes, that would be an excellent idea. I like the ideas you come up with, you seem like you've been in high pressure situations like this. Shall we take our leave?"

Ilium could tell that [member="Kat'Lariah Syphex"] was really eager to leave. He would've been the same way if he was human.

Kat woke up from her trance and apparently with a plan in mind. She said that their way out was probably on the bow where most of the pirates were coming from. "K'en! I thought that we would need to let you die here. Anyway, let's blast our way to the bow." Riimaurus started to clear their way as more pirates died to his bolts. He jumped from cover to cover. Dodging from bolts and worms that jumped in his direction. Just hoping that they would get there alive.

Lark

Saint of the Damned
Lark recovered from his fit just in time to hear the message broadcasted by the pirates. Anybody who continued to resist and did not lay down their weapons would be killed. The small group that Lark fought with had been doing well so far, but fighting against the worms and the pirates was taxing on them, and eventually their progress was slowed, if they didn't find a way out of this soon they'd be overwhelmed. Perhaps the Crystal and woman using the force and causing Lark to have a momentary fit was a blessing in disguise. If he had continued fighting the way he had been, he'd be overcome by the bloodlust that so rarely took control of him, and he'd fight until either all of the worms and pirates were dead, or he was. Now he could at least think rationally. He didn't want to surrender, but if they continued to fight they'd all be killed. There was not a single outcome Lark could devise where he'd make it out alive, but at least if they laid down their weapons they might have a chance. He could tell the others felt it too, but nobody wanted to admit it. "We're not going to make it out," Lark said, calm as glass.

The pirate's message sounded through the ship. "Phrik..." she muttered under her breath. This boat was already in a bad state, without having been attacked by pirates or the infestation of giant worms...Kat was willing to bet a stray speck of dust could tear this barely held together bucket of bolts apart. "Guys...I don't know about you but I don't exactly like the idea of being spaced...not that I like being enslaved either but..."

Xiarr ran as a fast as he could searching for an exit from this hellhole, but there was no hope in sight. He had heard the message that the pirates broadcasted, Xiarr put two and two together, the pirates where Trandoshans and the Trandoshans are known for their slave trade. If the survivors were to surrender, they would be enslaved instantly. Xiarr's thoughts were interrupted by chatter coming from below, thankfully they weren't pirates, but a group of survivors. It seemed like he kept on bumping into the same people, as he recognized some from earlier. Xiarr wouldn't last much longer on his own, so Xiarr jumped down from the catwalk, and put his hands in the air. "Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who survived giant man-eating worms and slavers."

Razel heard the message. He agreed with the others. This sword was one of his two, and the other was with an old friend. He dropped it on the ground,

"We have no other options..."

He lets out a robotic sigh, as he fully realizes the futility of the situtation.

"If we're captured, we'll have a chance of breaking out. If we are blown to smithereens here, there's not a chance for us."

Razel suddenly thinks back to when he was too injured to live. That was how he got his cyborg body. Maybe they could live! Maybe- no. He was lucky. He would NOT be lucky again...

Kat nearly shot the newcomer as he crashed down from the catwalk above. "Yeah, well we may not be alive for much longer. We gotta make moves now if we wanna stay alive guys. So what are we doin? Blaze of glory or fight another day?"

Riimaurus gasped as the stranger in the hood from before jumped from the catwalk. Everyone was considering give up for now after the threats announced by the pirates and the Chiss didn't like the idea at all. Being slaved by the Trandoshan wasn't exactly what he expected when he got in this ship. "Well, i guess we don't have much choice." Riimaurus said with a sigh.

Lark

Saint of the Damned
The others also reluctantly realized that escape was impossible, at least under their current circumstances. But Lark was not worried, simply annoyed. He'd be able to escape slavery, but being enslaved was such a setback in his plans. But he'd remember the faces that were around him. Perhaps they'd be useful later on down the road. "Surrender is the best option," Lark said quietly, calmly. "If we fight now we ruin our chances of survival. If we bide our time, opportunities are sure to arise. Let us be patient." Lark did not fear enslavement. He'd already seen pure darkness a decade ago, being a slave, even for beasts like these, would be like a picnic in the park.

Ilium heard what the Red head said, and actually agreed with him. He spoke to him through the Force.

"I agree, that is our best bet. If we try and escape now we way very well lose our lives. But [member="Lark"], I want you to tell them that no matter what happens, we stood up for what's right!"

Ilium returned to his deep state of thought and prepared himself for the worst.

If worst comes the worst, I'll be able to sacrifice myself to slavery for their sake, they deserve it more.

(Got caught up in the Artisian thread and completely forgot about this post, sorry)

Causstik's war band walked up the catwalk to the five adventurers and made them turn over their weapons. They would place shock collars on their necks, but the collars could easily be dismantled once planet side. Meanwhile aboard the bridge the raid leader steered the S.S. broken bow through the planets ring of ships.

"Brace for impact!" He called as the refugee ship hit a small shuttle. The Broken Bow shuttered as the boat impacted upon its surface. The ring was filled with over a thousand such vessels. Some were older then the republic itself. Priceless works of history, and the Trandoshan plowed right through them. They began their descent into atmosphere and the Broken Bow quaked violently.

The refugee ship was falling apart all around them. The pirates, worms, and ring of ships had taken their toll. Now the vessel was prepared to simply collapse, but the captain was skilled and was sure he could get the vessel on the ground intact. Mostly, at least. The ship grew red hot as they breached the planets ozone layer. Metal sheets and old parts flew off her hull. Then it collided with the planet in a terrible WOOSH BANG. It skid for a mile then finally slowed to a stop, leaving a trail of red hot glass in its wake. The Trandoshans would escort the surviveing slaves the mile or so too Mugg Fallow on foot. Where they would then be thrown into the maze of bones.

Meanwhile Causstik and his warship floated above the planets atmosphere. A weapon was being built of magnificent proportions and he was to oversee its production along with his trusty partner [member="Kal Jaii"]

Although Kat had reluctantly handed over her weapons, once she saw the shock collar, she had desperately fought her captors. Fear over took her at the sight of the damned thing. She wouldn't be forced into slavery. She had watched countless slaves, and the way her family had treated them while she herself had been chained in a different kind of slavery. She wouldn't be used like that again.

Kat had clung to the whatever surface she could find as the ship crashed into the planet's surface, adrenaline still coursing through her veins. As the Trandoshan's had tried to bring the slaves outside, she had again fought whatever captivity awaited her. The Trandoshan's finally lugged her beaten and bruised body out of the ship and forced her to her feet. Now, she stumbled in line with the others, eyes to the ground. What was left to be done? She didn't know.
