Private Like Minded Individuals

The Maw have grown into a prominent figure of the galaxy, their cries of destruction and chaos wreak havoc amongst the people. Their domain spanned over fewer systems than other factions but in no way did that represent their power or at least that is what was being told to Rul. That was the main reason why he was going straight into the lion's den. The additional reason was that he had learned historically of many prominent Sith Lords and warlords who were part of the Maw, these lords might still exist and the Skakoan supposed that he deserved the best of the best to mentor him.

The exiled was far from home, expelled for his force affinity. If it was possible to have turned his vessel around and returned to the safety of his parents Rul would not have hesitated to do so. There was no returning to safety the five guards that were sent to accompany him might have assured him they were here for his protection but, he understood their true intentions. Furthermore, his ships supplies were running low and would not be able to last for a way back unless he stopped at the closet planet and resupplied. Being deep within the maw territory meant that he was in constant danger of being raided.

The silence of his vessel scared Rul, the fact that he was in Maw territory scared him, thinking about it the young Skakoan realised at this moment everything scared him. His suit might have provided great protection but Rul forgot everything about it he was cowering in helm thinking about all the possible ways he could die. All the while his guards were preparing to land on Crakull, it was the closest planet to their position and they desperately needed to resupply and gather information on the Sith.

Crakull was a dark place, this was obvious the second they landed. He and his crew descended a good distance outside the crown jewel Alkonost. The city was sure to be heavily guarded and, Rul was almost certain he would be denied entrance and probably be imprisoned. The outskirts of Alkonost were baren almost abandoned, perfect to disappear from sights unwanted. Gazing at the city Rul could feel a dark presence looming over it. The darkness flowed from a fort atop the city, its shadow like a blanket covering the capital. A voice inside of his head awoke. This voice was not new to Rul last time he heard it was during the incident on Skako, his initial force awakening. His mind overflew with fear and confusion leaving him blank and under control of the voice. The awoken force user was in a trance like state following its every order.

Rul woke from his slumbering walk and was in the midst of the pulsing people of Alkonost. Promptly panicking the Skakoan stood out like a flame in the night compared to the rest of the inhabitants. This caught the attention of some surrounding guards. Rul not ready to fight anyone made a quick decision to run for it, he was not going to let them capture him without working for it.

Alkonost was a strange city. On one hand, there was the usual hustle and bustle of a large city. People going about their daily business, pursuing credits and a good time. On the other hand, there was a heavy presence of guards. It was nothing to see a guard knock someone down with the butt of a pike. Rumor had it the warlord Maestus ruled with an iron fist, and expected no less from her city guards.

Rul Tondar Rul Tondar did indeed stick out like a sore thumb. He attracted the attention of guards and civilians alike. Distrustful stares were present on just about every face. Little did Rul know, he had been watched from the moment he stepped within the city. If he noticed, he could make out something different about the pair of human males keeping their distance, but obviously tracking him. They wore grey uniforms, but the clothing bore no insignia.

It was only when he took of at a run that they, too, began to run after him. His rapid movement was communicated to the city guard as the two unknown males gave chase. 2 city guards took off running after him as well. Catching up, one guard stopped dead and pulled a blaster pistol. Red bolts of energy flew past Rul's head. One would think it was a storm trooper firing, as bad as their aim was. Or was it on purpose that he missed?

Perhaps unfortunately for Rul, Maestus had also been alerted to his presence. With a sigh, she strode from her fortress, heading towards the main part of the city. Falling into step behind her were two well men armed with Beskar pikes, clad in furred armor pants and a beskar pauldron on their left shoulders. They stepped in perfect unison, maintaining a perfect 2 step distance behind the Sith Lord. Rigid posture and mean, keen eyes scanned for the running Skokoan.

Poor Rul Tondar Rul Tondar . He'd attracted all the perhaps wrong attention. This would surely be an interesting day for the young one.

What a fool he had been coming to this planet. His emotions were running wild as he stumbled through the dark city. Fearful of what going to happen to his frail body, furious at his parents for denying him the protection he deserved as a superior individual. Slowly sadness crept into his mind filling him with hopeless thoughts of death, pain, torture, loss and suffering.

Rul's body was moving but his mind had forsaken the idea of salvation he was a weak-minded creature he knew this. His vessel was not yet ready for the end and so he ran in the direction of the entrance gate not looking back in horror of what he might see. The Skakoan biologist did not have to look behind him to realise that he was being pursued. Red scorching blazes of energy flew by Rul closely he watched as the blasts scarcely missed his head. Adrenaline was now coursing through his brain and all his instincts were driving him forwards.

Without understanding it Rul's body acted on its own, swiftly stopping and turning his body towards his followers. He raised his hands pointing them in the general direction of the guards closing his eyes and feeling his anger course through his body. Rul dispatched an uncontrolled wave of force energy. The push was weak but because of the unpredicted arrival, two of the followers were pushed to a small extent from Rul.

Seizing the moment of shock to his advantage the Skakoan speedily began running again towards his spaceship where his companions would be awaiting him. But fate had other arrangements for him. His strength was drained and he felt his legs ache and his breathing was racing he could not move his body another inch. Collapsed on the ground weak and beaten Rul looked up into the sky solely to see his space vessel with his remaining hope fly of into space leaving back the shattered Skakoan in the streets of Alkonost

When Rul Tondar Rul Tondar collapsed in a heap, Maestus Chosen surrounded him a mere second later. They gave the illusion that they were so close, they could have ran him down like a rabid dog at any time.

Or perhaps....That is precisely what they did.

Not a single finger or pike tip touched Rul. Pikes were lowered, pointy end at the Skakoan. But he remained unharmed. Should he attempt to leave, well, the pointy end would meet his squishy bits.

A moment or two later, and the dread mistress approached. She looked at her Chosen, and without a single word being uttered, they lowered their pikes in unison. They each took 3 paces back. This was the distance they had been trained to keep from Maestus. Yes, out of respect for her. But also to give her space to perform whatever dastardly things she saw fit to do.

She looked down upon the crumpled Skakoan. Her gaze heavy, it burnt with the fires of one reborn on Mustafar.

Bring him.

2 of the Chosen grabbed him under the armpits, hefting him to his feet. They would pull him after Maestus. Whether he used his feet and helped, was up to him.

Through Alkonost city center they marched. As Rul and his 2 Chosen friewnds passed, you could hear the whispers. Feel the fear in the eyes of the citizens. As the Chosen and RUl, led by Maestus, marched, the city streets cleared immediately. Not a single soul wished to garner MAestus attention. Or, perhaps what they feared most...Her wrath.

The Skakoan's mind drifted into the dark corners of his mind as the guards pulled him down the streets. His legs were weak from fear of his current situation making them useless to Rul

He recalled back to when the guards circled him aiming their pikes towards his soft tissue or when they were hunting him with their blasters, both these situations could have ended in death for Rul. Was it luck that he survived or the cruel choice of a more powerful being. The more he indulged in the darkness of his mind the more Rul could feel himself drifting away from sanity.

The captured Skakoan was mumbling to himself, talking to about diety the Albino Cyclops. Skakoans are deeply spiritual people and Rul was no different. When it came to problems he could not solve the scientist would always console in his beliefs. However, faith would not be able to restore Rul to a state of freedom.

Guided by the guards and a mysterious dark figure they were approaching the fortress which was
overshadowing Alkonost, a structure shrouded in such wickedness that one would believe that even sunlight could not rid the dark from the fortification. The female figure accompanying the group was looming and all people seemed to keep their distance from her. Rul could tell that she was pure evil and a force not to be reckoned with.

Rul's fate was to be decided within these walls and there was little the Skakona or his prayer could do to change this.
