- Lightsaber: The lightsaber of Emorin Tain is much like any blade of its kind, able to cut through most material in the galaxy and deflect energy based weaponry.
- Corrupted: The kyber crystal used in Emorin Tain's weapon is not originally a dark side aligned crystal. Emorin Tain poured his frustration, pain, and anger at his current situation in life into the weapon, corrupting the crystal and turning it from blue to the customary Sith crimson. This was not a perfect process though, and the crystal was damaged during the event. The weapon risks overheating with extended use, and must be more regularly charged.
Emorin Tain did not create his first lightsaber. During his escape from imprisonment on Coruscant, he managed to survive an explosion that killed a Jedi that had been blocking his path of escape. Not knowing what else to do, Emorin had taken the dead Jedi's weapon while he fled from the planet. During his flight from Galactic Alliance space, his growing anger and frustration began to get the better of him, and in a flash of rage he unleashed all his emotions and pain on the lightsaber. The crystal within the blade was corrupted from the overwhelming Dark Side energy Emorin forced upon it, creating the fledging's Sith first true Dark Side weapon.
