Private Life of the party

It was a beautiful evening on Naboo, as usual. Sutaz always admired that about this planet. The stars seemed to shine no matter how many lights were on at night. The sky was clear, and when it wasn't, the clouds were beautiful. It was a great contrast from her home of Denon, a corporate dystopia. They didn't care about stars or pretty clouds there, only the unending march of progress no matter the cause. It was cold and mechanical. A dreadful place to grow up.

Being the cool new millionaire on the block, with looks to match, she naturally got a lot of party invites. Most of them from people angling at business offers and ways to grab at the money she had made. Thus, she paid most of them no mind. Of course, on invite stuck out. One that was from a contact within her friendly organization of Darkwire. That was something she was down for. Darkwire always knew how to throw a good party. Not to mention it was close to her hotel. She could already see it in the distance from the balcony she was standing upon. The Nautolan grins to herself. It couldn't hurt to show off a little. Thus, she went inside to prepare for the party.

She soon emerged from her hotel room dressed in her chosen attire for the party. Her upper body was clothed by her mid back length white leather jacket and a black one piece swimsuit that hugged her curves pleasantly. On her lower body was a pair of black leather pants that matched the color of her swimsuit, and still showed off her hips when in combination with the one piece swimsuit, which she was wearing just in case she decided to try out the pool she had been informed about. On her feet were black leather boots.

She made her way out of the hotel, grinning happy as can be. This was her first time letting loose since her meeting with John Locke got her in trouble with Corpsec.

The party was mainly in a yard outside of some rich kid's house. People rough housing, hanging out by the pool, setting off fireworks, and overall being troublesome teenagers. Sutaz's kind of scene. Attention was caught by some as a speeder stopped out at the front of the building, it's engine roaring loudly. Out front, a purple Nautolan could be seen getting out of a Pridecorp type-H, in good condition too. A marvel of old world engineering. Standing up fully, the nautolan's purple eyes gaze about, scanning over the party attendants with a curious expression.

Naboo.

Safest planet in the Galaxy; everyone said so. Hadn’t been ravaged in the assorted Mandaldorian purges. The Bryn’Adul hadn’t touched it, the Sith had left it alone. So far, even the MAW was held at bay by the CIS. After months of the same litany from the Enclave, the CIS, the Protectors, the Rimward Trade League … heck, from everyone … Mia has decided to scout it out for herself.

After all, anything everyone agreed on simply had to be suspect, right? Yet so far, no one had jumped her, despite being in and out of bars all around the collegiate stomping grounds. Every taxi hired had taken her precisely where she wished to go without driving in circles or otherwise pushing the price up, the hotel was disgustingly dull (If it hadn’t been five star, it would have been unendurable.) It was boring, really; Mia hadn’t found trouble anywhere on the idyllic, beautiful world.

The only saving grace, was that Naboo having so supremely passed her security eval, Mia didn’t see why she had to turn down an invite to a party, just because she’d not met any of the friends who’d invited her in person. Never having been to a party, Mia refused to fret over what to wear or how to do her hair. Nano-silk armor would just have to do. Sure it was a little ‘formal’ for Mia’s tastes, but then she’d been working.

However unofficially.

Glitzing up her outfit with glitter over her eyelids, darker lipstick and a diamond-and-beskar belt, Mia sauntered up the wide, old boulevards. It was so nice to feel real wind, to know the sky above her was an actual atmosphere. Ancient old trees, utterly tame (neither poisonous nor tained with heavy metals from surviving an orbital bombardment). Streetlights gleamed with military regularity, lighting her way, and the traffic drifted by in dull obedience to all posted road signs. Just as any hope of actually enjoying a party on this world was fading, a most exquisite vehicle pulled in front of a properly rowdy crowd. Music pounded through the air, nearly masking the cat calls and mocking false-threats of those roughhousing in the yard. A brief survey assured her they had no notion what they were doing, then her attention turned to the pool.

A pool.

Mia shuddered. Swimming was not a skill she’d achieved, living on a spaceship. But even the pool couldn’t hold her attention for long; not with that wondrous vehicle lighting up her cybernetic implants. Were those weapons, hidden in the doors? A moment’s more study, and Mia blurted out, “Fething amazing, you’ve got a genuine Pridecorp!”

Pridecorp Type-H 427 ABY

“They stopped making those ages ago, 420? 430? I never thought I’d see one in person. Shaping the body for beauty as well as stability was such an elegant solution to the recoil on the original rotary turret blasters. How does she handle in the air?”

Sadly, the glory of the Nautalon took second place in Mia’s mind to the wonderful vehicle; while she flashed a smile at her, the speeder soon drew her adoring gaze once more. The vehicle was some 200 years old, yet was in pristine, glorious condition. Mia loved vehicles of all types; she was just aching to pop the hood and look inside.
