James Halsey was born on Anaxes and went to the Naval Academy. During these years, he met Herlock, who became his friend and his model. When he graduated, he was assigned as a officer on board of various corvettes, but only did boardings of small cargo ships in order to check them. But as he climbed ranks, he was given more responsibilies and became the executive officer of a patrol ship. He patrolled across the New Imperial Order systems, but still didn't fight. He was then assigned to the escort frigate X103 Courageous and finally fought his first battle during the defense of Csilla, in which he mostly escorted a fleet carrier and provided fire against ground targets. He now serves under the command of Captain Albrecht Herlock in the Task Force 58.
