Not really expecting an exchange in theory, Caltin was a bit surprised at just how loquacious Tyron is. If he was like some other Padawans that the massive Jedi Master had experienced recently, Caltin would have believed that the Besalisk was just telling him what he thought Caltin wanted to hear. This was not the case with Tyron though, the young Padawan may appear barbaric, but had a pure heart. He may need to strengthen his resolve a little more, given his lack of self-confidence, but that will come with time and training…
… training…
You want to be a Guardian… what do you want to be when you grow up? A silly wording to a legitimate question. What Tyron want to be a Weapons Master? A Jedi Ace? A saber instructor? A Battlemaster?
He thought about a previous Master he had learned under once told him…
“To understand that strength—whether through the Force, the body, or the blade—is not about dominance, but discipline and responsibility.”…that strength is not about dominance, but discipline and responsibility. Caltin kn11ew that Tyron had the potential to become a great Jedi, but he needed to learn to trust himself and his abilities. With time and guidance, Tyron would grow stronger and more confident, and he would be able to use his strength to protect and serve others.

Any fool can swing a saber. Any Force-user can push or pull. A Guardian learns why to act—not just how.

Strength without purpose is just noise.

We train, so that when the time comes, we can stand calmly between danger and the defenseless—without hate. Without fear. With clarity."

Walking back down to the training grounds in front of the Temple, he found a training saber stand, took one and tossed it to Tyron. Alright, Shii Cho… “The Way of the Sarlaac”... often considered the most basic lightsaber form. However it is also one of the most underrated as it is quite versatile. I want you to go through each move… beginning with the opening stance. If you are not learned in the form yet, don’t worry. You’ll be getting a crash course right now. I will perform each move three times, you follow me… mimic them… when you are ready to… I want you to… He went on to explain how he would describe each move, and they pay attention.
The Padawan must perform a lightsaber form (like Shii-Cho) slowly and precisely, but with their eyes closed.

Before each movement, they must say aloud what they believe that motion protects or prevents.
For example: “This block shields another.” or “This strike breaks a chain, not a life.”

It’s not about physical perfection—it’s about intent behind each action.

At the end, Caltin said The Force will give you power. The Order will teach you control. But it’s you—your choices—that give both meaning.

Tyron may look like a brute but this was not what his heart and intentions were aligned to. Any believes, feelings and thoughts all stemmed from the good nature coming from his heart, his spirit and the willpower he possessed. The words spoken by the young Besalisk were intentional not to dismiss fellow Jedi in getting or hearing what they wanted. No. Tyron sought to become a Jedi Guardian for the right reasons. He knows there is a lot to learn, study and must train his body, mind and other assets to improve.

Having spent time in the Jedi Archives and Libraries Tyron had came across a few specialisations that can perhaps be unique among the majority within the Jedi Order. He found articles and data on the following roles he has taken an interest in.

A Jedi Ace - in this role he interpreted that this is a highly skilled dogfighter pilot that utilises the Force in their piloting skillset. A secondary role he came across was a Force Warrior - in what Tyron understood this as a Martial Artist that relies on both their body and the Force more commonly than ever wielding, using a Lightsaber. Finally, the Jedi Battlemaster role - one not to under value or underestimate either.

This role was bestowed by the Jedi High Council to members of the Jedi Order that displayed high tier levels of lightsaber combat instruction. Any and all Jedi academy combat instructors would report to the Battlemaster and would have been hand-picked in becoming Lightsaber Combat Instructors. Tyron had mentioned to Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor he wants to teach, train and pass on all his experience, knowledge and training to future generations of the Jedi Order. He meant this and sought to fully commit to it.

"I'm not here to rely on brute strength or power from the Force we align ourselves to Master. I wish to utilise my body, mind and skills in both a Lightsaber and the Force in the righteous and purest of forms. Reasoning behind why I used applications of either."

Tyron glanced over to Caltin and listened to the words the Jedi Master spoke. Continued to follow him and they were entering training grounds where Tyron caught hold of a training Lightsaber hilt in his dominant hand that Caltin tossed to him. His two upper hands were placed on the grip of the hilt firmly. Tyron's left arm and elbow bent in a bowed, V-shaped like position while his right arm was more straighter. The Lightsaber hilt being held at head height out in front but to the side of him slightly.

The Besalisks feet and legs were spread apart at shoulder length distance perhaps slightly further to gain a solid stance of balance. His knees were bent slightly so that he wasn't stiff or tense when applying movements throughout his body. He had began learning Form I: Shii-Cho from Jedi Masters Valery Noble Valery Noble and Jonyna Si Jonyna Si since he initially arrived in the New Jedi Order.

"I believe this is the Opening Stance that represents Form I: Shii-Cho, the Way of the Sarlacc. Master." Tyron as he was trusting his instincts and allowing the Force to be his guide where his eyes fell shut. Recalling what Masters Noble and Si had taught him prior.

He remembered one feature that Caltin advised to him. Don't go rushing into things without all the information one can acquire and so he reopened his eyes ready to learn the known moves and various other aspects of Form I: Shii-Cho from the Jedi Master.

Caltin said nothing, nor did he acknowledge. He had given the Padawan his instructions previously and was looking for them to be completed to the best of Tyron’s abilities.

Tyron noticed the silence and no further acknowledgement from Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor he was left to complete the rest of the instructions. He began to close his eyes over to enter a calm and focused state to put himself through drills of the aspects in Shii-Cho. First he pictured the 6 Body Target Zones that should be known and practiced regularly. Slow and precise he ignited the blade of his training lightsaber. Began to use diagonal horizontal and vertical motions to block each zone.

First he performed vertical block level with his head and torso areas of his body.
"Zone One is the Head. I am using a diagonal, vertical block to defend against strikes." Tyron was using the Ideal Form asset of Shii-Cho.

Next he was going through the other Body Target Zones number 2 being the Right arm and side, he was motioning a horizontal defensive block as if imagining an opponent was attempting to strike toward his right side.
"Zone Two is the right arm and side, I'm using a Horizontal block to protect this area of my body."

He was being accurate, precise and slow displaying good levels of control in his movements with the training Lightsaber that was provided to him by Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor as activities progressed. Tyron continued to do this process for the remaining four Body Target Zones but varied from being defensive and offensive. Switched things up as he was advancing to show the Jedi Master.

"Those were the 6 Body Target Zones that everyone using a Lightsaber should be aware of. Applying them to the other forms of Lightsaber Combat master." Tyron stated as he finished up this part of Shii-Cho in what he knew from studying in the Archives.

Tyron kept his eyes closed while trusting both the Force and his instincts to move onto displaying known manoeuvres. In the Besalisk's memory there were 3 of them. The first being called the Disarming Slash. Rotated his Lightsaber within his palms he swiftly used a diagonal yet slowed motion of a vertical strike as if he was attacking his imaginary opponent's weapon.

"The Disarming Slash commonly used to defuse or end combative scenarios where I am focused in removing my opponent's weapon. To stop further loss to life and any more potential harm or threats against others." Tyron's voice calm and confident.

Next up, the Besalisk returned to the Open Stance before utilising the next manoeuvre of Shii-Cho which was known as the Sarlacc Sweep. He swung his Lightsaber blade in a slow, controlled and horizontal motion as if he was attacking multiple opponents with the strike all while his eyes were close. Letting the Force guide him through the strike.

"That was the Sarlacc Sweep using this to engage multiple opponents it draws the attention away from other allies nearby while I attempt to strike down multiple enemies to decrease threat levels in the given scenario I am within." The Padawan said to the Master observing.

Finally, there was the basic Form I horizontal slash. Tyron stood back in the Open Stance once more and sent his Lightsaber blade out through the air slashing in a horizontal movement in his mind striking towards the right arm and side, Zone Two of his imaginary opponent while his eyes remain closed. "The basic Form I horizontal slash I was applying this to attack Zone Two sometimes it is common for enemies to have their right arm equipped with a weapon of sorts. Thus defusing a threat master."

The Padawan Learner finished with his demonstration of what he knew in Form I: Shii-Cho, the Way of the Sarlacc also known as the Determination Form among the practitioners that utilise this Combat Form. Opened his eyes as he stood looking toward Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor dropped his Lightsaber hilt down after turning off the blade stood casually and calmly.

Alright, I think that I have seen enough… Letting the Padawan gather himself before taking back the training saber and returning the device to its stand, he stood silently for a moment. It was as if he was gathering his own thoughts. Alright… I have two more things before we can call it a day. First thing first…

He started to walk around the younger one. I want you to give me your honest impression of Shii Cho, not the definition… not what you think Masters are expecting you to say… what is your opinion… His wording may have sounded direct and intimidating, but his tone was anything but. He was going somewhere with this after all.

Tyron returned the training Lightsaber hilt back over to Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor as the Jedi Master took it from him and placed the hilt back onto the weapons rack. The Besalisk waited and watched the Jedi Master being silent, in thought and was wondering what next.

Noticed that Caltin began to pace around him and Tyron's eyes followed the Jedi Master being focused and sharp but calm in his demeanour. Patience filling the body, mind and spirit of the Padawan Learner as he welcomed the Lightside of the Force in the brief period of silence.

Tyron looked to Caltin a firm tone of voice spoke out.

"My impression on Shii-Cho. Honestly? It is basic to me just now I have attempted to use it in ways where some can deem it relentless and wild. Didn't feel comfortable when I started going that way with the Combat Form. I hope to show advanced levels of Shii-Cho master it to where my opponents cannot predict me." Tyron said as he took a few moments to pause and think more.

"It is a good form to begin with. To learn how to wield a Lightsaber what it can entail. In its fundamentals if I think about Shii-Cho more. From what I've experienced so far with it. I've been capable of disarming enemies; defusing threats and at points engage against multiple opponents at once on the odd occasion. I believe there is more, I can do more but this Combat Form won't be without its flaws and weaknesses." The Besalisk stated as he was trying to reflect on his experience with Shii-Cho.

The Padawan Learner glanced and kept his sights on the Jedi Master while Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor was pacing around Tyron. He wasn't intimidated or nervous. He was determined. Focused in answering the Jedi Master's questions raised.

Okay. I don’t agree with the “basic” idea many have, but it is just my opinion. Stopping. Alright… have you figured out your lesson yet? No? Not unexpected, but that is perfectly okay.

He waved his hands out toward the Temple and the lay of the land.. Tyron Khan. You have the type of connection to the Force that will take you far. He eyed the Besalisk, never more serious. What you also need to understand is that you have the potential to one day stand where I do as the Warden of Tython. What you lack is self-confidence, but you know that and are already working on it. I can tell this because I have watched you while we walk. What you also must learn to understand is that every Jedi, from the youngest of the younglings to the GrandMaster Valery Noble Valery Noble herself are important, each for their own unique way.

He took a step back. What that means is simple. I do not doubt your sincerity when you say you want to pass on what you learn, but you can do this without worrying about titles. Worry about being the first “Tyron”, not the next “insert name here”. Do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with titles, I have been a “Battlemaster”, I have been in a Council seat. Each one who fills those seats deserve to be there, and are to be admired. However, if you are not enough without a title, you will never be enough with one.

This all starts with being a Guardian. It is important, first and foremost, to pay attention, pay attention to everything. From what is in front of you, like me, to what is behind me like the two Padawans who are sneaking off to “enjoy each other’s company” who think that no one is watching… alright… go grab something to eat. You earned it.
He smirked as he leaped up onto the spires above, clearly a Force assisted move.

Tyron listened to the Jedi Master when he had finished stating his impressions and views of Form I: Shii-Cho. No-one will agree to everyone's opinions on topics being discussed if anything that sounded like something one would hear and find more common with a group of Senators and other politicians. This seemed a lesson more about theory than anything practical for the Padawan.

Had Tyron wasted effort and time in going through the lack of self-confidence upon himself? The Jedi Master highlighted it for a reason of course. He couldn't deny that there was slight disappointment within his emotions and thoughts. A sigh escaped from his mouth. Didn't believe he was any further in becoming a Jedi Guardian. He wasn't after roles or titles for the sake of having it.

Aris Noble Aris Noble did say to him back when he had done some training on New Cov with the fellow Padawan Learner where there's no harm in striving towards the Battlemaster role whether competing against others or not. Tyron wants to earn his presence within the Jedi Order but it didn't seem as if there was any progress. Just entering a further state of being lost and unsure.

"Farewell master... May the Force be-" Too late to add anything else. Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor leapt away from Tyron where the Besalisk felt the use of the Force enhancing the leap the Jedi Master took to head into the spires. Another sigh from him and his shoulders slumped down a bit. He shook his head and began to make his way back into the Temple.

He didn't earn anything as far as this 'lesson' had gone on. The Besalisk was now considering isolating from fellow Jedi and give up the idea in learning and training to become a Jedi Guardian. It felt like he had been sucker-punched and there was nothing left for him to motivate his body and mind in the Jedi Order but just be a number like in some form of employment background.

Made his way back inside of the Jedi Temple and headed inside of his dormitory. Locked the door once he was inside his quarters and not wanting other Jedi to see or hear from him. Bar his masters; Jedi Knight Kaleleon Kaleleon and the Force Ghost spirit of Jedi Master Kei Raxis Kei Raxis if they were seeking him out. He wouldn't welcome Aris Noble Aris Noble or the Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble Valery Noble either. This day, the 'session' hadn't answered any questions just threw more obstacles and questions in Tyron's path.
