Faction Let's Make some Magic (Witches/Jedi)

There are some things even a Jedi cannot do.

A call had gone out to a number of witches around the galaxy. The Elder of the Blue Coral Divers Clan was offering a place on Kattada for anyone who wanted to come and learn. She was hoping to learn from other witches and teach what she had. Brooke Waters was an elder of this specific tribe of the clan, and serving as a liaison to the Jedi Orders. The call had also gone out to the Silver Jedi and through d Romi Jade Romi Jade and her Enclave network. The last one was definitely the call of the Master Starchaser.

The interesting thing about the Force was that it worked in very mysterious ways. The Witch was sitting on a coral outcropping, shaped by her and other using their voice to help bend the Force and its capabilities, into almost seating arrangements, not an unnatural alchemy, but a bend all the same. What the Witch was hoping to do was to share knowledge.

Unlike some Clans, like the Nightsisters, the Blue Coral Divers were peaceful and desiring to help the rest of the galaxy. She had it set up, a small workshop, a few tables shaped of corals, Kattadan Kyber memory crystals, and a set up of rough flimsy for sharing techniques, and in the case of witches, spells.

Now, it was a time to await the students.

She had more than just kyber, spell jars, other equipment from wood and stone, to powdered pearls. Her cat was here and there was the warm sea breeze in the trees. It was a good place to discuss the Force, magick, and anything in between.

Draven was feeling weird. Primarily because for about five months he had spent a majority of his time learning on a planet which was quite primitive compared to the majority of the galaxy. Under an order which while similar to the jedi. Had many varying ideals and ways of interpreting how the force worked and what it was. So, really learning from a various order of force users.by this point was not unfamiliar territory even if Draven would not exactly say he was experienced in doing so.

In comparison to the arctic climate of Weik. Kattada was quite a pleasant change for Draven.. Especially now that he understood how to better regulate his body temperature in unfriendly climates. As well as with the help of a fellow jedi he also learned a few other skills related to well in some senses. Temperature.

Draven was also barefoot as he entered the classroom environment and observed the coral structures. In similar manners Draven was getting a feeling of his environment. Though more so a mapping of the area. The main differences was how much life force which was involved in his surroundings. He furrowed his brows and shook his head some. Oh well, the life forms of the reefs. While not simple entirely were still much less complicated to handle on an emotional scale then the other individuals around him.

In a mere moment he was able to get his mind cleared enough to take in the details of watching the sisters work their skills upon the environment. To mold things into the structure around them. It was perplexing at the very least. He then observed Kuxirra Tano-Bonteri Kuxirra Tano-Bonteri and acknowledged her as a vaguely familiar face having been a fellow padawan and therefore made.his way her direction. To at least post.himself close to someone he could slightly relate to. Giving his empathetic skills which didn't have a manageable on/off switch for him.

Why not spend time teaching? Setting down the light attack craft designed by Jorus Merrill years ago, Julius walked until he could observe the Witch from a distance. When the call had gone out, he had been cautious. Very cautious. Such things were less common than one might think, and usually led to arguments. Especially when he was around. Some staunch are Jedi always rattled on about the Code to him, and often enough Julius wound up punching him. Sometimes it was an Emperor, other times it was a fellow Jedi. The point was, he didn't deal well with authority.

Regardless, Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser had a point, they owed the next generation at least some support. So he had sobered up as best as he could, hiding away as withdrawal and need wracked his body. Sleepless nights screaming into the void of his loss and sorrow. But eventually he had come through the other side. Hair still wild, but at least combed, and beard somewhat trimmed... He had begun to be a more regular and helpful presence at Socorro and it's Enclave that... Well... Technically he supposed he ran. This was an opportunity to show the change.

So when others arrived, Julius, as usual, decided to show off the brand of skills he would be trying to help teach. One moment he wasn't there, the next he was, a ripple in the Force and he was suddenly lounging against coral, leaning back, beskar pauldron gleaming and the metal stripe of his bloodstripe trousers glinting in the sun and he closed his eyes to take in the sun, and nodded to Brooke Waters Brooke Waters , cracking a smile and an eye open to look at her a few feet away.

It looked nonchalant, but folding space like that took a long bit of work and familiarity, and even Julius struggled with it. But it was an advertisement, if anything.

"Hello there. You be Ms. Waters, I assume? Julius Sedaire of Socorran Enclave..."

It was always good to bring new faces anywhere. Brooke loved meeting new people. They all had stories of their own to tell, and things to share. The Kattadan Witch, born of a Pamarthe Jedi was happy to be here. The blonde watched the first group to approach, including one of the Jedi from the Silvers, Kuxirra. She smiled at the Togruta and the rest that came in that group. A few moments later there would be more and she was very hopeful for more who wanted to learn and more who wanted to shared.

Another Padawan, one she didn’t recognize but had a feeling she knew who it was. The rest were barefoot and Brooke was standing there before them in a light blue dress, barefoot, her hair in braids and waves, as she smiled. Julius Sedaire approached as well, and she knew that face, that was one of Coren’s friends.

“Welcome Master Sedaire, and the rest of you.”
She was seeing who had taken her invitation… Draven Eterena Draven Eterena and Kuxirra Tano-Bonteri Kuxirra Tano-Bonteri . “Welcome to Kattada. My goal here today was to provide a place to share and provide lessons. I’d love to know what you all are capable of, and what the Witches of the Blue Coral Divers can assist. I am hear to help teach today. And to learn. Some of you know that Kattada is a Jedi Temple but also a Witch Clan home."

Kattada.

It reminded him of his native Talay, though the hospitality of the Silver Jedi had been such that Alaris was starting to feel like a home.

His departure from Alaris had been delayed. So, it was without surprise that there were already several people gathered by the time of his arrival. The malelings stood out the most, to Jorah at least, though from his brief visit to the Blue Coral Divers prior, he did not believe they ascribed to Gethzerion's view of the proper matriarchal social structure.

Such was their way. The Jai were the same. It was different but, then, they were different. They were not Nightsisters. Theirs were not the ways of the Book of Shadows.

Stepping closer to the assembly, the boy paused. Holding up his hands in a prayer-like fashion, with the palms together, he bowed three times. First to those off on his right, then to those off to his left, then to those in front of him. On the third time he straightened up, he opened his palms like a book and extended his hands outward toward the Honored Elder, Brooke Waters Brooke Waters

"Ennota," the boy offered formally, his Dathomirian distinctly accented from the Clan's time in isolation and exile from the Clone Wars, far from home. When he had straightened back up, he allowed his arms to fall by his side as he explained, "Gin meni loser fanhoak mu shu hai for shureen hai pu Ru."
My apologies. There was much debate on who should represent us to your Clan.

Though Jorah's people had made peace with the Jai, they remained descendants of Mother Talzin's Clan. They had retained their belief in the Book of Shadows as the true form of the Book of Law. Their religion and dogma interpreted by Gethzerion. It was, to them, a return to the true ways Allya had intended for them.

So accepting the invitation was something of a religious and political dilemma. Doubtless, the Blue Coral Divers knew this. It was quite brave of them to extend the offer regardless. Particularly to a Nightsister Clan. Were this Dathomir, their invitation would have likely been met with bloodshed. But, the Mistwalkers were centuries and generations removed from their forebears. Nonetheless, if they sent a peer to learn from the Blue Coral Divers, then it might appear that they were accepting the Blue Coral Divers as equals. So that ruled out a Nightsister. But, if they sent a maleling, that would constitute an insult to most of the Daughters of Allya, and they did not intend to offend the Blue Coral Divers either.

Except, Jorah had visited Kattada before. And had met with the Elder of the Blue Coral Diver Clan. So it was not a case of first impression. And since Jorah was not a Nightsister, then he could only observe for the Mistwalkers. He did not speak for women.

And so the young teen found himself cast in the role that seemed to be perpetually his. To undertake those tasks that were either beneath or else inconvenient for a Nightsister to attend to.

Of course, he was a Nightbrother. He did not get to choose how he served the Clan. His part was merely to obey. And represent his Clan well.

Did Jedi have such denominational politics between them? Were there any religious texts that they argued over between the Silver Jedi or the New Jedi Order? Did one Enclave ever believe itself to be the proper intermediaries of the Force?

Did the Force have prophets?

There was much he still did not understand about the ways of the Jai. And more than a few among them he was unfamiliar with. Such as the man who was clearly an Elder himself. The other maleling seemed closer in age to Jorah.

Switching to Basic, the youth offered, "I am Jorah, son of Darnus, Nightbrother of the Mistwalker Clan."

Not only were Force abilities being trained today, practical ones such as hunting and gathering were present as well. A single witch wearing what looked like skeleton makeup on her face and neck arrived with a bunch of caged enclosures on their antigrav platform that contained various beasts from throughout the galaxy. Some would even notice that there was a nexu in one cage and even a juvenile rancor in another.

The witch gave off the presence of an experienced hunter as she carried an energy bow on her back as she went from cage to cage, checking on the creatures and giving them something to snack on while giving them a loving rub on their head. Minerva smiled as she whispered something to each one, most likely in her Dathomiri language, but it was kind of hard to tell from the other things going on around them.

Once the creatures were taken care of, Minerva approached Brooke Waters Brooke Waters to pay her respects. As she waited patiently for her turn to meet with the Elder of the Blue Coral Divers Clan she cracked a smile upon noticing that a few padawans and what looked like a nightbrother were present amongst the group that had gathered here. Once it was her turn with the Clan Mother, she gave a respectful curtsy and said, "Greetings Sister. I thank you for the invitation of this gathering. I hope this will be a great learning experience for all of us."

A meeting with witches and Jedi on Kattada, it was meant to be a meeting for learning and hopefully a way to exchange experiences and learning new ways in how to use the Force. While Dreidi wasn't sure she could use the Force in the way witches knew how to use it with spells, that wasn't going to stop her trying or understanding the way they used the Force. She was so eager that she was buzzing around like she had 50 energy drinks, she had 10 so there was some buzz but not enough of one to being causing her current behaviour. She adjusted her loose plaid shirt and tightened the shoelaces on her sneakers.

Getting to Kattada was tricky journey when she didn't have her own personal ship. Perhaps she needed to ask her Master to fund her a starfighter with a hyperdrive. She really wanted one to avoid using public transport. Public transport was the worst, most due to the fact it was slow and crowded with other people. Dreidi shuddered at the idea of other people. Gah, other people were stinky, creepy and just a nuisance, she was just glad to have her headphones and tune out everyone else out.

Arriving at the meeting point, she had been a little late, seeing that other people were around and she felt a twang of anxiety as an outsider but she steeled herself and stepped forward. Her fingers curled into fists as she looked around, "hi, I'm Dreidi Xeraic. Jedi Padawan." Fingers relaxed as she breathed out slowly. Seemed like she was the youngest one in the room.

It definitely was not lost on her that she was younger, well, maybe not for a human, she knew what she was doing and was definitely in line to be the Tribal Mother, at least for the Kattadan Coral Divers, that was something she knew would probably happen when she took the posting on this world to link the Jedi and some of the Clans. She wanted to help the world be known not only for the Jedi Enclave but for the Clan’s home. And the Blue Coral Divers here were different than other Witches, but she enjoyed the differences, she was here to help the galaxy and the Jedi had the means that the Witches just lacked.

As the younger Dathomiri approached, a smile found Brooke’s face. She nodded and greeted Jorah in turn, in the language of Dathomir, but with a lilt that definitely put her as not being raised on the world. “You have nothing to worry, little one. We are glad to have you.” Her tone was definitely welcoming, it would be weird for Brooke to have anything less than a welcoming tone. The Mistwalkers were a clan that the Blue Coral Divers had respect for the other clans, and even the ones that were more akin to Nightsisters.

What she knew was she was close to the Jedi, but they understood that the Blue Coral Divers would and could handle Witch Business, and wouldn’t step in if there were other options.

“I am glad you were able to join us.” She had kept herself in Dathomiri. “That is the goal, and I don’t believe we have met, sister?”

As the Jedi arrived as well, that rounded out the group. “Welcome Dreidi!” She smiled and wanted to allow time for them to mingle and ask questions before she moved to the desk that is at the top of the area. She had a few options to teach today.

She noticed that Brooke Waters Brooke Waters had responded in the Dathomiri language. It would seem that Minerva had made an error to use basic in her greeting and she had also forgotten to formally introduce herself and it was not to just anyone either; It was the clan mother of the Blue Coral Divers Clan. Hopefully, this be the only mistake she will be making today, but there is the possibility that there will be many more before this day is through.

"Oh no, this be our first meeting. I do apologize for not introducing myself before," she responded back in Dathomiri while trying to maintain her composure for the mistake, "I am Minerva Nightmoor of the Whispering Wilds Clan."

Brooke was all smiles that there were more witches that arrived. She expected the Jedi, and was truly happy that some of them had arrived as well. She had spent some time after meeting with Jorah connecting with what her clan truly meant, especially back on Dathomir. While not a child of the world, she did fit the clan well, and fit the one here on Kattada even better. Smiling at Minerva, she nodded.

Whispering Wilds… The blonde smiled with a tip of her head. “I’m not sure I’m familiar with the Whispering Wilds. What region of Dathomir is that?” She reached out idly in the Force, not sure what she was feeling but it didn’t feel dark… Maybe another clan like her own?

Minerva let out a heavy sigh then explained to the Blue Coral Divers Clanmother, "I am not surprised that you would know of my clan as they were wiped out during the purge of Dathomir, but they once were location in the Savannah area in the south central region, east of the great desert. I had hoped that maybe this gathering will allow me the chance to find a new clan for myself."
