"Well, that is certainly a safer means of learning a rather dangerous technique for the unprepared," she replied as Kaila explained how she had been learning teleportation. She was now curious, though, on who was teaching her in such a safe manner and where she had discovered that teacher. Taeli herself had learned the secrets from studying various Dathomiri grimoires a few decades ago when the Sith had influence on Dathomir, and then later providing the Witches with a potent weapon to disrupt Mandalorian control around the Warlock Gate.

"For your question, there are means of doing so," she would continue, her speech measured with caution. "Our history is littered with stories of objects and Sith that had stored their spirits within them, just waiting for unsuspecting passersby to find the artifacts and reawaken them, either for possession or influence to gain a new body of their own template. There are tales of a ritual involving four artifacts that Tulak Hord created that could accomplish the transference of a soul through a ritual. I myself have performed a few similar resurrection rituals to call a soul back from the Netherworld and have them inhabit a new body. It's not a matter of the knowledge not existing; it's more of a matter of acquiring it as it is not an easy technique to practice as well. To learn as you are currently doing so with teleportation, you'd need subjects you'd be willing to strip souls from and move them around."

She would take another sip of her tea.

"It's not an avenue of study most pass along willingly and without price, considering the implications it can create between master and student. However, I'd be willing to furnish the beginning of the path to you."

She smiled just a little, allowing herself some pride in that small achievement.

The more Taeli spoke however, the more rapt Kaila became.

Strange artefacts, rituals and best of all, Tulak Hord. Her brows perked upon this invocation of the man who's successor she owed her powers to, and had since become her favorite area of study. For all that Darth Nox Intrigued her, the inquisitor had once been little more than Hord's imitator.

Kaila found herself lowered into her seat without realizing, gaze unbroken till she was made to contemplate the nature of test subjects needed for such rituals, and if she was truly willing to do such a thing.

Taeli had a way of drawing her back in however.

"It's not an avenue of study most pass along willingly and without price, considering the implications it can create between master and student. However, I'd be willing to furnish the beginning of the path to you."

The young Darth was silent for a time, chin resting atop steepled fingers deep in thought.

Her guest, a Dark Councilor of the Sith, had already offered much. To accept more may be greedy, perhaps a sharp hook for the gluttonous little fish that was her mind. Then again, such cynical thinking had cost her as many allies as enemies, and was such power not worth the risk?

If Taeli truly wanted Quinn's allies to succeed, this was certainly one way of doing so.

"
...Tulak Hord..." she muttered.

"
Is certainly an interest of mine. I know well of Darth Nox, of Aloysius Kallig, of Tulak's successors. Tulak himself however? that has given me trouble, and I'd be a fool to pass up the chance to learn more."

Kaila took another sip, another second to consider the deal.

"
Aside from finding these... subjects, what must I do?" she asked, half expecting to hear a price.
