Lord Seer of Korriban, Professor & Governor
LECANO
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create a unique drake based on this, bonded to their battle companion during the second invasion of Brosi
- Image Credit: Paint over digital 3D model by Sandra Tang (Model by Paul Tan)
- Role: War Mount and Companion
- Permissions: Perms from Taeli to augment her original creation
- Links: Misini Arira created by Taeli Raaf
- Age: Expected lifespan is about one century
- Force Sensitivity: Force User
- Species: Augmented Misini Arira
- Appearance: Lecano is a large, verdant beast who seems as much fern and branch as he is flesh and bone. The massive creature is sentient due to his augmentation and can speak telepathically with those he deems worthy. From afar it might appear that he has a plush ruff of fur about his neck and chest but in fact he boasts flowing, lush vines and draping moss-like materials. Elsewhere on his body he sports scales and spines. His head is adorned with proud horns, his maw has rending, snapping teeth, and each of his four feet are equipped with slashing claws. Lecano also has a long, magnificent tail which is tipped with a thorned flail like bramble of wiry vines.
- Name: Lecano
- Loyalties: He answers to
Madrona A’Mia
alone - Notable Possessions: Lecano is equipped with battle barding produced by Spore Industries, he often carries a few satchels with spell or ritual materials as he is adept in Sith Sorcery, and has taken after his neti master, as he is often cultivating rare or dangerous plants upon his person
- Personality: Lecano is haughty and discerning. Though bestial in form, he is more akin to a scholar and sorcerer than a warrior. His temperament therefore is calm, calculating, and he shares his master’s penchant for the “long game”.
- Training: Ever since Lecano’s sacrifice to protect Psilofyr’s Grove and subsequent rebirth, A’Mia has been training the Sithspawn to work rituals with her. He has also received instruction on aerial combat, galactic history, and courtly manners. Though he will almost certainly be regarded as a simple beast by many, his intellect and training sets him far above and beyond the average “war mount”.
- Combat Function: Though Lecano is a formidable presence due to his size and bearing, the drake is better suited for arcane matters. He is certainly well equipped for combat and has martial prowess lent to him through both bestial instinct and training. Lecano though, is a scholar at heart and will generally keep his distance from mundane physical fights when at all possible.
- Force Abilities (Force User Companions Only): He is a Force Adept primarily trained in Sith Alchemy, Sith Sorcery, Plant Surge, and Control Disease.
- Per original submission:
- Held over by the original Arkanian Dragon specimen, the scales that cover the bodies of the drakes are particularly strong. Infantry style weapons, such as blasters, vibroweapons, or slugthrowers, have very little effect on the scaly armor the drakes, and lightsabers have a tough time of burning through the armor, but can eventually pierce through it.
- Another carry over from their origins, although enhanced by Darth Arcanix and her alchemists, is the ability of these drakes to breathe fire. The drakes can unleash their inner flames in long continuous breath attacks or as concentrated balls of plasma-like fire that explode upon contact.
- An addition from the Nashtah creature native to Dra III is a peculiar venom that, when a being or creature is wounded by the teeth or spines on the tail of the drake, essentially marks it for the drake to track. The venom lingers within the victim's body and blood for roughly a month before it expires, and as long as the drake and the victim are on the same planet, it can eventually track them down, making them expert hunters.
- Due to the large and powerful wings and bodies of the drakes, they can easily take flight and maintain it for long periods of time and carry loads equal to their weight.
- Force Adept — Lecano is a skilled sorcerer in his own right, and is well equipped to support his master with complex Sith alchemy or rituals.
- Spring Eternal — Due to the unique circumstances under which he bound himself to A’Mia and the subsequent way in which he sacrificed himself for Psilofyr and Brosi, Lecano developed the incredible ability to rise again from grievous injury. With sufficient time and tending, this drake can rise again after what would be mortal injury for other creatures. Provided that he is given the opportunity, Lecano can heal from devastating wounds.
- Per original submission:
- While the scales that cover their bodies are incredibly strong, heavier weapons such as those found on vehicles have a much easier time piercing through the defenses of the drake.
- If the drake unleashes its fire in its breath attack form, it can take it several long moments for it to generate enough internal heat again to breath out flames again. Likewise, it can only unleash short bursts of plasma before it needs to generate more within its body.
- If the wings of the drake become damage, it becomes incapable of flight until the damage is healed.
- Force Light — As with most Sithspawn, exposure to intense and targeted Force Light can harm Lecano significantly.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Before the second battle of Brosi, Taeli Raaf provided a few of her allies with drake hatchlings. These unique Sithspawn were augmented by the Lady of Secrets to bond with each person given one and to grow rapidly. The fearsome beasts were therefore battle ready by the time war once more besieged Brosi.
Lecano appeared to die during the climax of the fighting, sacrificing himself to prevent a nuclear payload from striking the heart of Psilofyr’s grove. The brave drake crashed into the crown of the largest tree and his broken body was cradled there for a time. Brosi, living planet that it is, remembered his sacrifice and bundled up what flesh it could save from his tattered remains. A few weeks later, Lecano rose anew. Fully transformed from his strengthened bond with both A’Mia and Psilofyr.
