STRENGTHS

• 4 Elixir
  • When facing down conventional blasters, the LDM-00 is a bit of a mini-tank. It's personal shield can stop most energy weapons on its own, and the droids layers of Betaplast and Duraplast armoring are able to shrug off most kinetic weapons and blaster fire. Angled armor plating also increased the chance of deflection, somewhat softening the blow the droid takes.
• Grim Determination
  • Gold infused Laminanium interior lining allows for Lockdown droids to continue fighting as the metal seals off holes and damage, and the infused superconductant helps prevent power loss. Lockdown droids dragging a dead leg behind them, crawling along the floor, or stumbling through corridors with a single arm is not uncommon, as these droids are dedicated to completeing their mission no matter what.

  • Lockdown droids are very customizable. They can operate most weapons, can be upgraded with different kinds of armor and equipment, and can be issued custom protocols to fufill specific roles. They're compatable with almost any administration software to easily fit into established security systems.

WEAKNESSES

• Poor Armor Distribution
  • In order to reduce excess weight and bring down production cost, armoring is not found all around the droid. The rear of the droid, especially the legs which only has the durite shell, has less protection, as most of the armor is focused on places most likely to incur damage.
  • The armor has gaps, even in the front. Elbow and thigh joints are exposed, as are the sides of the knee. With a downed shield projector, talented gunslingers can disable a Lockdown droids ability to fight by taking out its arms or legs
• Poor Insulation
  • Instilation of proper ionic shielding, plating, or even an ion neutralizer was passed up on by Treatech R&D. As Lockdown droids were meant to be cheap, easily repairable, non-complex security droids, the cost of installing complex tech like an ion neutralizer or more expensive ionic shielding was deemed to outweigh the benefits. While the LDM-00 is excellent against most common weaponry like blasters, melee weapons, and even explosives, even slight exposure to things like EMP and ionizing energy will lock a LDM-00 in a full system reset as it tries to restart damaged systems (hardstun kek). If more severe forms of these kinds of attacks (ion weapons, droid poppers, etc.) were to impact the LDM-00 directly, most systems would be fried and the droid rendered non-functional. Furthermore, the Lockdown droid is not well insulated against electricity, and high voltages will shut it down.

DESCRIPTION

Meant as a multi-purpose security droid, the LDM-00 Lockdown droid can fill a number of roles with its customizable behavioral presets. From policing, to security, to escort, even the factory presets cover a wide range of tasks. Most programmers will find the easy to grasp interface comfortable, making custom jobs easy to assign to Lockdown droids. Furthermore, these droids are protected by simple but effective anti-hacking software to deter unwanted tampering of the droids protocols. At a very reasonable price, equipped with powerful weapons and defensive systems, and able to be easily refitted, a squad of Lockdown droids will do the job for anyone looking for a loyal security force
