• Less powerful than a full sized mil-spec blaster.
• Blaster bolts can be deflected and redirected by a lightsaber, meaning this is not a weapon for use against Force users.
• The LBP series is designed for personal defense, not heavy combat. It'll work in a firefight in a pinch, but it's not designed to replace mil-spec blasters for that purpose.

Description: The vast majority of firearms and blasters are designed with the assumption that the customer either has training or enough experience in combat to make up for a lack of training. They're robust and powerful, but not at all intuitive for the average being. Most anyone can pick a blaster up and make it go bang, but that's not the same as being able to use it effectively.

The LBP series of light blaster pistols was designed to address that deficiency.

The easy of use starts with a sleek, ergonomic design that makes the weapon more an extension of the user's arm than anything. This is a weapon that's extremely easy to pick up and use effectively, and even a relative novice can have some hope of hitting the target. That said, there's no substitute for training. Even civilian customers are advised to spend some time on the firing range to familiarize themselves with the weapon, and if they can receive some professional instruction, that's even better.

The LBP comes in three models, each one tailored for a different purpose.

• The LBP-1 is the smallest. It's designed for use by smaller beings, such as Chadra-fans, Jawas, and other similarly statured beings. The grips are downsized, the controls are smaller, so on and so forth. Even a smaller humanoid would have trouble getting their hand to fit on the LBP-1.
• The LBP-2 is a subcompact design designed for use by humanoids. It's only slightly longer than the LBP-1, but the grips are larger and the controls are optimized for a humanoid. Perfect for customers who want a small, concealable blaster, but want more firepower than a holdout blaster.
• The LBP-3 is classified as a compact pistol. The largest of the models, it can be used by most beings. Though larger than the others, it's still small enough to be easily concealed and is extremely light and comfortable to carry.

Like many of RCFC's blasters, the LBP series uses our proprietary blaster magazine technology, integrating a blaster gas cartridge and a power cell into a single magazine that fits into the grip of the weapon. Though the use of the magazine reduces the total number of rounds fired before reloading, reloading is much easier with this system than with a traditional separate blaster gas cannister and power cell configuration.

Customers should be aware that the LBP is not designed as a combat weapon, but rather as a personal defense weapon. Though it's robust enough to stand up to extended use, it's less powerful than a military spec weapon, and is less effective against armor as a result. Though still perfectly capable of killing unarmored foes, it won't punch through military grade body armor, and attempting to use one against armored soldiers is not advisable.
