Domino
Warden of the Ice
A book like this required, nay, deserved reverence when it was read. Domino could feel the darkside contamination emanating from the pages turned by hundreds of sith fingers before where her own near-trembling digits now lay. Finding these six journal fragments bound together by the sixth sith lord to include his writings had been a long time obsession of Domino's. She'd come close only once before, on Tython, but her attempts to turn survivors of her own master's attack a year before on their jedi protectors had given one of the knights the time they'd needed to escape with it and what remained of the holocrons stored there. Then the war had prevented her pursuit of it followed by her five-hundred year sleep frozen on Ilum. Once awoken, she'd despaired. The galaxy was utterly changed and such a delicate artifact had to have been destroyed or claimed, surely lost to her. And yet, here she'd found it at auction. It was almost laughable, certainly absurd, she had still snatched it up, and now it was finally hers.
Later she would sit at her work table with pen and paper and jot down notes and her own annotations and musings, pulling details to research for later, but right now she lay back on the couch in the Sangromancer's lounge with her pet Tuk'ata sprawled around and over her legs. Myunnah had been a gift from the Sith Emperor following her aid against the Republic's invasion on Metalorn and the pup was a welcomed addition to her life. Opening the book, she started at the natural place, in the beginning.
