Major Locations: TerraDome Alpha: TerraDome Alpha is the primary Terraforming operation on the planet and encompasses the entire area that the shielding covers. Affectionately called New Eden by the crew that is working to turn this dead world into a new living world that is unspoiled by the rest of the galaxy the researchers and technicians work fervently to keep the Atmospheric generators on maximum as they slowly expand the influence of the shield to encompass more area. As of this field report only 2% of the planet has currently been terraformed and all weather and rainfall are artificial constructs. No fauna has been brought into the ecosystem as the various flora has only just matured to the point that it could sustain other inhabitants.
Culture: The culture on Last Eden is an amalgam of the cultures of the residents, as the years have gone by the crews have learned ettitqute and mannerisms that have derived from dozens of planets. Bonding them together in their own unique cycle. Though little of it can be attributed to a single unique culture there have been a few unique cultural attictivities that have sprung up do to proximity and the fact that they are all salaried employees that get paid the same regardless of work.
One of these is gambling of duties, as each one makes a considerable salary as it is the idea of gambling money has become trivial to them as they only spend it at the Company store or at home and they generally have a good deal left over in their savings. So the crews have taken to gambling duties, especially in the form of drudge duties. Each duty has an assigned value, 1 being an very cruddy and exhausting task and 10 beings a very easy task. One might put forward taking sludge samples a 1 values job because of the filthy nature of the job and the exhausting activity, while another may raise the stakes by raising with a 3 value job such as taking out the trash. Since they generally have a fair amount of leisure time increasing it or getting easier assignments makes the day much more enjoyable.
The next cultural activity they have developed is simply nature watching, as they talk and compare notes about how the small fauna and flora are adapting and evolving. Though there are jobs assigned to do this watching the differences the Naboo mosquito has on world compared to its native counter part helps to speed time up for them as they spend 1 month on world and one month paid off world at home.
Technology: The only Technology on the planet has been brought in by the Terra forming crews, as such it is only as advanced as those that work on the planet.

History:

Discovered in 799 ABY by The Travelers alter ego Arumi Zy as he searched the galaxy over for important relics and place to finally settle and call home. Its location was secluded enough that few would ever discover it and far fewer would find interest in the dead world. In 803 ABY the first Terra-forming mission was dispatched to Last Eden to begin construction of the first of the shield generators and atmospheric control units that would begin the arduous process of Terra-forming the planet and making it habitable.

In 807 ABY the systems were brought on line and at the time only encompassed roughly .001% of the planet. This small area was planted with various mosses, lichens and fungi in order to begin the growth cycle of the planet and to begin expanding the shields and taking some pressure off of the Atmospheric generators as these simple life forms would be able to consume some of the carbons and carbon based gases found naturally on the planet. By 811 Aby the shield had covered .5% of the planet and the atmospheric units were used primarily as back up as the Lichens, mosses and fungi did their jobs sufficiently enough to begin planting more complex Flora. The first grasses, ferns and shrubs were planted in 812 ABY.

In 814 ABY the first source of large scale ice was discovered just out side of the shields, though this was still a few years into the growth of the shielding and planet they began to slowly push the shielding until it consumed the ice deposits. Under the careful control of the Terra-forming crew the ice was liquified and purified creating the first fresh water lake on the planet. In 819 ABY the first algae were seeded into the lake and the Terraforming crews had began to construct rivers that would feed into natural formed dips and drops that would form small streams. The Streams would end in a large reservoir that would then carefully cycle the water to be turned into rain and humidity recycling it in the self contained system.

In 822 ABY the first trees were transplanted, as well as the first insects that would serve to pollinate the trees and any future flowering flora.

837 ABY most of the flora has matured and a natural breeding cycle has begun on the planet as new tree growths and flora growths have begun to sprout up by themselves on newly shielded naked ground. Some small animals have been noticed most likely sneaking in through cargo and badly checked and secured personal effects. Most of these animals are no larger then a few centimeters and have had the added benefit of helping to control the exploding insect populations.

841 ABY the first aquatic animals are added, small mollusk and crustaceans that will form the basis of the food chain. Several species have been seeded in the lakes and rivers as well as some unique species in certain areas to study the effects of their spread or if they will stay localized in the streams or lakes depending on their native ranges.

844 ABY ( Current) Most of the added ecosystem has shown to be stable and sustaining, the current expansion of Last Eden is .5% area per year. Plans are being drawn up to secure more funding for more equipment and its expected that at 75% that the Atmospheric controls can be dropped and the natural atmosphere being generated inside of the shielding will be able to dominate the planet turning it into a self sustaining atmosphere. Several biologist have expressed interest in studying Last Eden as we begin to bring in new species to watch the way they adapt and evolve to survive their new environment. As most of the animals have been cherry picked from countless worlds few of them would have had natural encounters. Careful care and attention must be paid to the animals as they begin to inhabit their new world.

Rumor has it that The Traveler has commissioned several skilled genetic engineers to design many unique creatures for habitation.

Notable PCs: <Native or immigrant player-characters>
Intent: To create a new world that can be crafted slowly to serve as a biological preserve to the rare and wonderous creatures that survive in the world. A place that can serve as a future model to restoring the galaxy and bring creatures that may go extinct back to their native habitats. As well as to serve as a work shop for research and all that other evil scheming schtick. And a place to house newly created creatures designed specifically for this world.

Alright, this is a great submission overall. However, I do have on concern that I've highlighted below:

The Traveler said:
Culture: All activity on the planet is based on Terra forming the planet and the planet has no unique culture. Though many of the workers consider themselves much like parents caring for their hard work.
This planet has basically been settled for at least 3 decades now. Some sort of culture will have formed in that time. Any group of people no matter how big or small that live together for 30 years will have developed specific traditions, practices, beliefs, and systems that set them apart.

For example, the humans on this planet would likely be completely distinct in culture from Naboo which has an almost ancient settlement of humans, deeply rooted in tradition and a formal hierarchy.

Sorry this took so long to review, I am usually much more timely than this.

The changes made seem sufficient to me. I approve.

Approved pending secondary.
