System Features: The system features seven planets, but only the fourth planet is inhabitable. The others are either airless rocks or gas giants. Testament to the battle fought here long ago, there is considerable wreckage in the orbit of the 5th planet.
Coordinates: Near Mayferria
Rotational Period: 82 standard hours.
Orbital Period: 373 standard days.

Atmosphere: Type I
Climate: Cold-temperate except for a narrow band around the equator which is warmer. It rains…a lot.
Gravity: 1.1 standard
Primary Terrain: Mostly swamp and marsh, mixed with seas. Large ice sheets cover sections of the northern and southern latitudes.
Native Species: Plants and animals, none sentient. Swamp and pond life proliferates. Few large animals have evolved in the cold jungles and swamps. Those animals which do live in the main bands are generally slimy and universally taste bad.
Immigrated Species: Humans, Twi’leks etc.
Primary Languages: Basic.

History:
The planet of Largos is a thoroughly miserable, wet, slimy mudhole on the edge of the Republic. Thousands of years before the present, the planet was identified and explored by the Old Republic. However, as it had little natural resources worth exploiting and foul weather, it was left alone.
It was not until later on, during the New Sith Wars in the time between 2000 and 1000BBY that the planet was first used. It seems as though the Sith forces occupied the planet as a useful raiding outpost to attack Republic vessels in the Inner Rim and Expansion region.
Eventually, this location came to the attention of a Jedi Master named Domari who led a fleet and army to purge the Sith located there. During a fierce struggle the Republic and Jedi were victorious in space and descended upon the Sith base, sacked it and established their own.
Battles raged over this world, insignificant as it was, as over all the galaxy. Finally, the Sith Lord Nyas Zal engaged Domari in battle over the blood soaked swamp in an epic seventh battle for the site. The Sith were defeated, but both Jedi and Sith leaders were slain. The Republic razed the fortress and departed.
Largos was abandoned and forgotten, as soon afterwards the Sith were defeated at Ruusan, ending the epic war. For over 1800 years the planet was forgotten, until in the modern era, the Republic began to expand and possible sites useful to defend against Sith or Mandalorian incursions were scouted.
Largos was one such world scouted, but it was found to be largely useless. However, Jedi Master Phylis Alince, a scholar in all manner of historical arcana, recognised the planet’s features and decided to go there herself. To the Jedi Master’s surprise, she found the remnants of battle in orbit around the 5th planet, and managed to locate the ruins on the surface. A great Force aura surrounded the area, so she organised for researchers and excavators to go to the planet and begin work.
The Jedi Master is unsure what she will find, but at the least it will provide a good location for aspiring Jedi researchers!

- Base Alpha: The single occupied settlement on the planet is a small domed base where the researchers and support staff live. It has the regular amenities of such a base. Building the base was not easy as the supports had to be sunk down deep into the bedrock to compensate for the marshy morass of the surface.
- Excavation Alpha: The reason for the base and the off-worlders is an ancient structure of unknown origin sitting on a rocky bluff overlooking the base and surrounding swamps. It is the subject of an upcoming RP.
