Description: The Lanteeb Speedway, as is commonly known, is located in Rocantor Bay and has collapsible grandstands capable of seating as many as 100,000 spectators spread over two kilometers of beachfront. These two kilometers of beachfront actually comprise the only fixed section of the track: each race is intended to have different courses, taking podracer pilots through different areas of the surrounding countryside so that no two races are run on the same course. Altogether, the possible courses for the races are comprised in an area of 500 square kilometers. The two kilometers of beachfront comprise a pit stop, a control tower, as well as a fire engine, per First Order safety standards. Star Tours accepted to be one of the sponsors of the track, alongside its place in the Beaches of the Dark Side series of travel packages.
History: In an attempt to counter the Mandalorian Empire and the Galactic Alliance's podracing facilities, not wanting to be undone in the "bread-and-circuses" department, the Lanteeban government has commissioned the construction of the finish line area of the Lanteeb Speedway, in a bid to one day be able to hold races of the same standard as Echoy'la, Malastare or Tatooine.
Intent: To provide the First Order with a podracing track
