Laira’s custom swoop bike was designed off a racing model with an oversized fusial thrust engine equipped with Turbothrusters, proper turbothrust coils, and a sublight acceleration motor with only a small aerodynamic frame and control systems built around the propulsion system. Clearly designed for speed, the swoop’s front has a very large intake fan for the fusial thrust engine and vectoring nozzles in the rear to assist with high speed maneuvering. A quartet of repulsorlift coils aid with maneuvers, altitude adjustment, and help with keeping the craft from rolling or flipping.
The speeder’s controls are configured around a central control panel and a pair of handlebars which feature a throttle, front brake, and clutch while pedals on either side for the gear switch and main brake. The control panel features a holonet uplink, holocomm, fuel gage, and global positioning system based off the Graph 18 Surface Locatorhttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Graph_18_surface_locator.
Laira bought and modified the swoop mostly for her own amusement and entertainment, but it does have practical uses, with no guarantee that she will use it as a pursuit vehicle in bounty hunting or that it will ever be a sponsored racer. More likely she will only use it to impress her friends and to escape authorities when she causes too much of a ruckus.
