Description: the LA1 was designed to offer armor options to Vext Industries portfolio. The droid was surprisingly successful in its field performance. The simple design meant the LA1 could be put through a lot and still perform its job. The Droid was armed with a single heavy laser cannon and the La1’s legs made it possible to fire upon enemy armor or infantry from even the most uneven and inhospitable terrain. Many models of LA1s were fitted with electro magnets or grappling drills in their feet. This allowed the droid to climb cliff faces or walls. It has even been recorded for pirates to attach them to the outside of their ships as extra firepower.
After the initial success of the LA1, Vext Industries decided to sell licensing rights of the LA1 to planetary governors who then could build the droid themselves.
