STRENGTHS
Builder: He has a knack for the construction and repair of lightsabers. In a pinch, he can repair other mechanical systems, but not to the same level as a designated astromech.
Swordman: He is programmed with a considerable understanding of the classic seven forms of lightsaber combat, along with variants.
WEAKNESSES
Droid: He is a mechanical being, and as such he is susceptible to the classic thingsthat hinder other droids. Electrical, heat, moisture, slicing, etc.
Custom Parts: He is a unique droid. While he regularly backs up his personality matrix, his physical body requires more advanced repair due the nature of his construction.
HISTORY
Designated the Kyber Resonance and Assembly Node, Variant #7, he was the pet project of an Ardennian Jedi Knight who sought to create the ideal lightsaber mentor. Built from mostly aftermarket components, his chassis combined parts from Cybot Galactica, Baktoid Industries, and various other manufacturers. His personality matrix was founded upon an incomplete recording of the ancient Jedi droid Huyang, supplemented by original programming designed to make him a patient instructor, loyal companion, and caring guardian to the Jedi he served.
His creator taught him that a lightsaber was more than a weapon; it was an extension of the Jedi who carried it. KYRAN-7 became a skilled instructor in kyber resonance, saber assembly, and lightsaber combat, developing a warm, fatherly personality along the way. Though he carried fragments of Huyang’s knowledge, he was never intended to be a replacement. He was something new, shaped by his creator’s teachings and his own growing understanding of what it meant to guide a Jedi.
As of 902 ABY, KYRAN-7 serves the Jedi of the Naboo Republic. He helps younglings and Jedi construct their lightsabers, refine their skills, and find confidence in their connection to the Force. The younglings, having grown fond of their patient instructor, have taken to calling him “Master Kyran,” much to his humble protest.
