BIOGRAPHY:
Krenin Faas'iri was born on the Bothan homeworld of Bothawui and groomed as a child to become the Siri clan leader and a member of the Bothan Council. His future seemed certain until his Force sensitivity was discovered. He was sent to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where he spent the majority of his adolescent years. He excelled in lightsaber combat, particularly the Fast Style, rather than any of the specific seven Forms. Krenin became a padawan learner under the tutelage of Jedi Master Zharn. The pair of Jedi spent countless hours together — beyond what is typical for a master and padawan — sparring for hours well into the night as well as overseeing numerous missions for the Galactic Alliance.
Krenin became a Knight after a decade and a half of training. He was promoted around the time the Brotherhood of the Maw invaded the Core. During the battle for Coruscant, Zharn was killed and Krenin barely escaped with his life. Overcome with grief at the death of his mentor and friend, he retreated from his Jedi duties and returned to his homeworld. Although unable to become clan leader after an absence of more than a decade, he joined the Bothan Council in an advisory role. As advisor, Krenin mitigated conflict and helped unite the Bothan clans against a potential Sith invasion.
Eventually, the still young Bothan found it difficult to connect with his heritage and still craved an inner tranquility. As such, he left his people in search of a Force-based organization he met on a mission many years prior: the Guardians of the Breath.
After acceptance and years training with them, Krenin established a deep connection to the Living Force and began to overcome his grief. He learned how to manipulate plants to enhance their growth and quality. He learned there was more to being a guardian than violence. Becoming more of a pacifist, Krenin embraced the principle of Form Zero and vowed to treat violence as only a last resort. When the Second Great Hyperspace War had come to an end, he decided to return from exile and offer his services — crop growth chief among them — to the worlds devastated by the war. Since then, Krenin has rejoined the New Jedi Order and re-embraced the Jedi way of life, doing his best to support the Post-War effort.
