PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
A middle-aged man with frequently unkempt dark brown hair that is showing some evidence of gray. Sometimes poorly shaven. A bit soft in the middle, but otherwise ruggedly framed. Large nose, homely features, but with a keen caramel gaze. Often wearing rumpled working-man's clothing and a long coat.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Good-natured and highly inquisitive and perceptive man with a brutish underlayer when he's challenged. Stoic, Messy, and Cleverer than he looks, he believes that upholding the law is the only way to maintain order in the galaxy. That being said, he will overlook small crimes that don't have a discernible victim.

HISTORY
Kol Ambo was born on Corellia, the son of Kris Ambo and Kal Ambo, Corellian Security officers. When the Empire was defeated shortly after the Battle of Endor, he signed on to the then brand new Marhal's service, and soon became an inspector.
During an investigation into Imperial Remnant criminals, he was captured and used for medical experiments. In one of these experiments, a Droch Serum was tested on him. It did not make him younger, and was initially believed to be a failed product. But it appears in retrospect to have arrested or at least slowed his aging a great deal. He has been locked since then into the appearance of a forty-something year old man.
Eventually, he was rescued by Republic agents, and went on to serve in the New Republic and successive government Marshal's services for the next several centuries. He has repeatedly refused promotion, preferring to serve as a Deputy Marshall Inspector. He has, however, registered as a reserve Sector Ranger so that he can pursue wanted fugitives outside of Alliance space.
Kol pilots his own Rigger starship around rather than use a department vehicle, owns a very dilapidated Pigeon speeder, and is often seen in plainsclothes- a latitude extended to Inspectors.
