PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: 79
Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
Species: Sullustan
Appearance: An aging Sullustan male, straight posture but notable for the pale skin and poor eyesight brought on by his frail health and advanced years. Always dressed well, in bespoke suits and expensive accessories. Speaks with a firm voice that seems to command respect.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name: Koged Wust
Loyalties: The senior-most member of the Laranis System Protectorate, a position he’s held for many years and – if not for Andro Kaas – he’d have been the ‘Protector’ by now.
Wealth: Vast wealth, accumulated through a lifetime of business, trade, and intrigue.
Notable Possessions: Considerable holdings and assets throughout the Laranis System, including banking, investment capital, mining and refineries. Wust Holdings is easily the wealthiest corporation in the system, surpassing even Kaas Industries.
Skills: Incredible business acumen is matched only by his ruthlessness and pragmatism.
Personality: Aloof and haughty, he is convinced of his own superiority and deeply resentful of Andro Kaas’ meteoric rise to power. Ruthless and amoral, there is nothing he won’t do to grow and protect his corporate empire, and more than once he’s resorted to ‘outside means’ to achieve this, consorting with assassins, mercs, and bounty hunters, although he’s covered his tracks expertly. A prominent member of Laranisian society, working conditions for his employees and conditions for the poor living his housing projects are among the very worst in the system. To him, everyone and everything that exists is there for his benefit, and his alone. Terrifically skilled in business and power politics, he is an expert in what he does and has the power and wealth to prove it. He is feared by nearly all, respected by a few, and loathed by most others. However all agree, the only man who ever foiled him was Andro Kaas – and for that, Kaas was almost an obsession to the Sullustan tycoon.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: Intellect and ambition.
Combat Function: Able to command troops, but not to directly participate; not a terrific military tactician.

STRENGTHS:
  • Skilled businessman and shrewd power-broker.
  • Vast wealth and position in Laranis System makes him a powerful and (mostly) unquestioned figure there.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Physically weak, he is aged and in poor health, making him unsuited to any sort of rigorous activity.
  • His choice to ‘rule by fear’ and his ruthless use of power to accomplish his goals has earned him a general dislike even by his peers, who follow him out of fear for their own safety and well-being rather than because they trust or respect him. This means those aligned with him, even those in his direct employ are not devoted to him just merely fear him and act accordingly.
  • Obsessed with gaining and keeping power and wealth, Wust is arrogant and cold towards others, even his own family. Nothing – and no one – is important to him except himself. Because of this, he may blind to the needs or struggles of others, and will overlook these motivations in his dealings.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Wust immigrated from Sullust to Laranis when he was a small boy. Strict viral quarantines, in place since the outbreak of the Gulag Plague, kept him in segregated housing for several months, where he and other immigrant boys fought daily. Finally settling in the poorer corner of Laranis City on Laranis III, he continued to find himself amid the dangerous world of poverty, rival gangs, and others struggling to get by alongside those who’d somehow failed at life. Wust swore, he’d never be like them – any of them – ever again.

At a young age, Wust aligned himself with a group of local toughs and rose to become its leader, organizing them into one of the city’s most feared and powerful gangs, eventually numbering over a hundred members. From robbery, protection, assault, dealing in spice and death sticks, any way they could, they made money, and Wust took credits off the top for himself. In time, he parlayed these funds into more lucrative and legitimate enterprises, and his shrewd business acumen and ruthless energy saw him begin to rise.

Over the next decades, Wust Holdings – as his company became known – rose to the pinnacle of Laranisian politics and business. With every corporate takeover, each venture, and every ruthless move he knew he grew his power and influence, and became poised to assume the leadership over the Laranis System Protectorate. That was until Andro Kaas passed him by, seemingly from nowhere, and took the Protectorship. Almost immediately, the two men became political adversaries:

Kaas, the champion of the people, promising democratic reforms and working to improve the lives of common Laranisians, who promised to bring the system into harmony with its neighbor, the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Wust, the stalwart leader of the ‘old guard’ establishment, fighting bitterly to retain the systematic inequality and exploitation that had brought him to become a wealthy and powerful man, built on the backs of the very people he intended to lead.
