Strengths:

• Plas-bonded ostrine edge: Due to the plas-bonding of ostrine, the material is capable of immediate freezing on touch.
• Concealed: Hidden within its compartment, the gauntlet vibroblade can be a nasty and unexpected surprise

Weaknesses:

• Cannot duel with it: Although it is a melee weapon, it is literally close to impossible to be able to duel with it in the sense of parrying or blocking other melee weapons successfully.
• Element of surprise: The weapon being concealed and all makes it great for surprises but once that element is gone, the opponent will be well aware of it making it just a 28cm blade which is also as stated above a bit unhandy since it is on the wrist rather than wielded by hands.

Description: The knuckle plate vibroblade <Rupture> was designed with the sole purpose of being a surprising and lethal tool to be wielded by First Order troops. It cannot be considered in any way a melee weapon in the sense of being able to use it as you would a dagger in your hands.

The mono-molecular tip is used for the purpose of piercing and thus creating an opening in an armor. Utilizing the properties of plas-bonded ostrine and that of the common vibroblade, this weapon is able to weaken the integrity of denser and more resilient materials due to its freezing capabilities. That makes it easier to puncture through thicker and more durable armor than using just a standard vibroblade.

When piercing flesh, the mono-molecular tip would open the wound while the ostrine would freeze it the immediate area disabling local nerves and muscles from normal operation.

Thus, the knuckle plate vibroblade <Rupture> is a deadly tool when combined with the element of surprise.
