(OOC: Not just yet....)
It was cold as the sun set. The winds thrashed against her tiny body as her father led her deeper into the wilderness. He had told her that they were going hunting again. She had believed him for a time, but as the trekked on, she began to wonder. They had already passed their normal hunting ground. They had brought no gear. And it was getting too dark to hunt anything at all. Finally, her father stopped. He told her to come to him, and so she did. She cried out in surprise when her father pushed her to the ground. Then he turned his back, and began to walk away. "Daddy?" She said. He turned to look back at her only once. "You are not my child. You never will be." Hatred burned like fire in his eyes. He ran from her. She ran after him. "Daddy! Daddy!!" She screamed into the wind. She cried until her throat burned, she ran until her legs went numb. But it was no use. Her father was gone. And so was she......
Katar sat upright in her bunk. She was panting, and covered in cold sweat. She hadn't had that nightmare in........ She didn't know how long. She crept out of her bunk and went to the window, throwing it open. The cool night air washed over her face and into her lungs. It was then that she began to cry. It was not a loud, child-like cry. It was a silent cry, with only occasional sniffling. In fact, the only way that one would be able to tell that she was crying was the way her shoulders shook, and the way her body shuddered. Katar was confused. Why was she crying? She never cried. At least, not for many years. So, why now?
