- Capable of creating organic or technological objects
- Gestation: The Lifeblood is capable of serving as a mobile reinforcement point for Dzara forces, as it can create most Dzara-aligned creatures or technologies in bulk quantities.
- Sitting Duck: Aside from generating soldiers or monsters to act as guards, the Lifeblood possesses no form of attack of its own.
As much organic as technological, this revolting horror is solely found aboard one specific Dzara starship. The methods used to create such things are best left to speculation, but it appears to be an amalgamation of repurposed biomatter, Formgel layers, and technological components.
As it is grown rather than built, the Lifeblood resembles an enormous, pulsating assemblage of organic tissue, noticeably having a structure vaguely similar to humanoid hearts. Various tubes and hoses (both organic and mechanical) sprout from the pod's surface, where it is wired directly into the power grid of a given vessel, or occasionally directly to KBR microreactors.
As its name might suggest, the purpose of this construct is to create various living or semi-living things. To this end, it is mostly a stationary emplacement, capable of spawning anything from weapons to soldiers to strike craft.
This astonishing versatility is perhaps the Lifeblood's greatest virtue, as it allows the Dzara to create whatever is needed in response to changing battlefield conditions. The pod is capable of creating both organic life forms or mechanical/electronic devices, assembling these together within itself through a disquieting fusion of assembly and something closer to gestation.
Of course, the pod cannot simply create something from nothing. It requires flesh, often in great quantities, to repurpose into more useful configurations. To this end, the hangars and factories of of its home ship usually have an unpleasant abattoir reek that no amount of harsh chemical disinfectants can stifle. In times of particularly intense demand, vast amounts of raw meat must be fed into the Lifeblood's toothy maw, never to be seen again.
When so fed, however, the Lifeblood can belch out a steady supply of almost anything the user might require, provided that data of the object exists within the Dzara's knowledge.
The Lifeblood pod is relatively vulnerable, and usually has no means of self-defense. As such, it should be carefully guarded, and ideally sequestered away from easy access.
