SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Repulsor Fist
  • Fusion Battery
  • Sensory Inputs
    • Electrostatic Fingertips
    • Synth-Net Neural Interface
    • Pain and feeling receptors can be triggered on and off at will
  • Coated in a thin layer of Beskar
  • Highly durable despite skeletal appearance
  • Greatly enhanced grip and crushing strength
  • Wrist can rotate around 360° in either direction
  • Can be rapidly attached and detached from the wrist due to the use of Magnets in the hand's construction
  • Can wear gloves over the hand if needed, though doing so prevents usage of the Repulsor Generator functionality
STRENGTHS
  • Durable: Like most cybernetics, Kjartan's Repulsor Fist is far sturdier than nearly any comparable organic limb, being capable of blocking blaster bolts, slugthrower fire and even lightsaber strikes
  • Strong: Kjartan's Repulsor Fist is naturally far stronger than nearly any comparable organic limb, being capable of applying incredible grip strength and crushing power
  • Repulsorlifts: The miniaturized Repulsor Generators installed in Kjartan's Repulsor Fist allow him to deflect incoming attacks and even "push" enemy off balance with a blast of repulsor energy
  • No Pain: Kjartan can choose to shut off the feeling receptors in the hand, making him immune to experiencing pain when using the hand for blocking or attacking
  • Scary: Kjartan's Repulsor Fist is deliberately designed to look as intimidating and off putting as possible, as was requested by Kjartan himself
WEAKNESSES
  • Learning curve: Like with any new cybernetics, it takes a fair bit of time to get used to using the hand in place of one's organic limbs, which will require that Kjartan's practices using the device
  • No Gain: When the cybernetic hand's feeling receptors are turned off, it is even more difficult to use the hand than normal since Kjartan is unable to feel anything when using it in that manner
  • EMP/ION: Like nearly all cybernetics, Kjartan's Repulsor Fist maintains a serious vulnerability to being disabled with EMP or ION based attacks
  • Battery life: Though the Fusion Battery powering Kjartan's Repulsor Fist will last for years, it will need to be replaced or recharged at some point, which Kjartan might forget to do
  • Scary: The way that Kjartan's Repulsor Fist is designed may be off putting to some, especially if Kjartan chooses to keep the hand uncovered
DESCRIPTION

After hearing about how Kjartan Hammer-Hand lost one of his hands in a duel against Seris Velmora, Gel Karn Gel Karn took it upon himself to create a replacement prosthesis for the pirate captain, so that he might be able to continue to serve the Iron Covenant in their quest to take down the Sith once and for all. After several weeks of tinkering and experimentation, Gel settled upon a final design that he believed to be superior to Kjartan's organic limbs, though he does understand that nothing can truly replace the feeling of natural flesh and bone. Nonetheless, Gel remain's confident that the new hand will serve Kjartan well for decades to come.

Kjartan's Repulsor Fist is constructed from a variety of different metals and materials, though it is coated in a thin layer of Beskar, allowing Kjartan to deflect blaster bolts, slugthrower fire and even lightsaber strikes with the hand itself. Perhaps more important, however, are the miniaturized Repulsor Generators that Gel installed in the cybernetic hand's palm, allowing Kjartan to deflect incoming attacks, apply unbelievable grip strength onto items or enemies, and even send his opponents off balance with a blast of repulsor energy.

The repulsor fist is also equipped with Electrostatic Fingertips, a Synth-Net Neural Interface and pain and feeling receptors that can be switched on and off at will, allowing Kjartan the ability to make his hand "immune" to pain, though doing so will prevent him from being able to feel with the hand until those receptors are turned back on. While a powerful ability, using the hand without its pain and feeling receptors turned on can be rather difficult, and requires a large amount of practice in order to function naturally. It will take Kjartan a fair bit of time to get used to his new appendage, especially if he wishes to use for its intended purpose of battle.

Should Kjartan wish to remove his hand for maintenance or cleaning, he can easily do so by disabling the hand's Magnet system, allowing him to pull the device off at the wrist. The Magnet that Gel used for Kjartan's hand is especially powerful, making it incredibly difficult if not downright possible for Kjartan's foes to pull his hand off his wrist during the middle of combat. Furthermore, the hand's skeletal appearance is deliberate, as Kjartan requested that Gel not apply any Synthskin to the hand itself, in order to preserve its sinister and intimidating appearance.
