"I'm a Mandalorian. Weapons are part of my religion."
— The Mandalorian

BIOGRAPHY

OEfTX1P.png
Ivory Syn learned early that names can be knives. Hers had cut too deeply, so she buried it and kept the scar.

Before the armor, before the creed, Ivory was something other, a child with a quiet pull toward the unseen. She remembers clearly when her life broke, and the aftermath: a room that smelled of scorched metal, and her running to stop history from repeating itself. The Path of the Open Hand discussed containment, and a drastic choice was made with her consent. A relic, ancient, humming with a wrongness that made her teeth ache, was fused into her forearm. It drank the Force the way fire drinks air. When it settled, the galaxy went silent inside her.

She screamed once. After that, never again.

The device saved lives, they told her. Or prevented catastrophe. Or balanced a ledger no one would show her. She stopped asking which was true. The small scar at her arm became the only proof the Force had ever touched her at all. Whatever she had been meant to become, the relic made certain she would never be it.

So she ran again.

Ivory lived on the fringe of the Outer Rim, taking work no one wanted and asking fewer questions than most. She learned to keep her sleeves long and her past shorter. Hunters, smugglers, refugees, everyone was running from something, and she blended well among them. She survived on instinct and grit, on muscle memory that felt older than it should have been. Sometimes she woke with phantom sensations like echoes of a power she could no longer feel, as if remembering the warmth of a sun after losing the sky.

She would have stayed a ghost forever, if not for the Mandalorian.

He was old in the way beskar gets old, dented, scarred, and unyielding. They crossed paths after a job went wrong, too many blasters, too few exits. Ivory fought like someone who had once relied on something greater and learned, brutally, to live without it. The elder noticed. He noticed the discipline without doctrine, the anger held tight instead of spent, the way she never reached for the Force even when death pressed close.

He did not ask her name.

He did not ask her past.

He asked only one question:

"Who taught you to survive like that?"

Ivory had no answer.

The Mandalorian offered her something she did not recognize at first: structure. Training came before stories. Silence before explanation. He taught her the meaning of armor, not as protection alone, but as identity. Each plate earned. Each scar acknowledged. Strength not borrowed, but forged.

She never told him about the relic in her arm.

She never had to.

When the time came, she stood alone beneath a cold sky and donned the armor piece by piece. With each clasp, each seal, something loosened inside her chest. The girl who had been cut open and rewritten faded with every layer of beskar. The past, whatever it was, whoever she had been, no longer had a hold on her.

When the helmet locked into place, Ivory Syn said goodbye to her former life.

She did not cry. Mandalorians do not need tears to mourn.

From that moment on, she lived in the armor. Not as hiding, but as truth. The relic still rests in her arm, silent and hungry, a reminder of a path denied. But she no longer measures herself by what was taken from her.

She is not Force-born.

She is not Force-broken.

She is Mandalorian.

And the past, whatever name it worem, no longer has the right to claim her.

This is the Way.

EQUIPMENT

  • A personal ship to be subbed at a latter date.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

UJOZZ82.png
Strengths

+Intelligence
- Very intelligent and a quick learner

+Mandalorian Training - She has been taught to use a variety of weapons and tech from her new culture

+Teräs Käsi - an extremely capable fighter in the ancient art.

Weaknesses

-Piloting -
While she has been working on her skills as a pilot she is not great at driving

-New Non-Force User - Ivory has an artifact in her arm that cuts off her connection to the Force entirely. This is almost worse than being born without the Force because now she must re-learn how to sense the galaxy around her without the training she relied on before.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy - we must be cautious."Ben Kenobi

Faction Overview
The Galactic Underworld is the shadow that stretches across every shining world in the galaxy. While the Republic, Empire, and later governments argue about law and order, the underworld thrives in the spaces between, where credits speak louder than politics, and survival often depends on how quick you are with a blaster.

It is not a single organization but a vast network of smugglers, crime families, bounty hunters, pirates, corrupt corporations, and shadow brokers. From the neon-lit depths of Coruscant's lower levels to the lawless trade lanes of the Outer Rim, the underworld operates as a parallel civilization built on risk, reputation, and ruthlessness.

A Gritty Way of Life
Life in the underworld is rarely glamorous, despite the legends. It is a world of dim cantinas, hidden deals, and constant danger. Trust is rare. Betrayal is common. Credits change hands quickly, and loyalty often lasts only as long as the next paycheck. Many who enter the underworld do so because they have few other options. War veterans, refugees, failed entrepreneurs, or fugitives from the law often find themselves drawn into its orbit. Others chase the freedom it promises—the chance to live outside the rules imposed by distant governments.

But that freedom comes at a cost.

Violence is routine. Entire crews disappear between hyperspace jumps. Smugglers are betrayed by their contacts. Bounty hunters hunt each other. Crime bosses fall to ambitious lieutenants.

In the underworld, reputation is everything. A name can open doors or mark you for death.

The Shadow of the Galaxy
Despite its brutality, the Galactic Underworld is deeply woven into galactic society. Governments secretly rely on smugglers during wartime. Corporations quietly hire criminals for jobs they cannot be seen doing. Even the most respectable worlds depend on black markets to keep certain goods flowing. Where there is power, wealth, and desperation, the underworld will always exist. It is the galaxy's shadow economy, dangerous, unpredictable, and impossible to eradicate.

And for those bold or desperate enough to walk its dark corridors, it offers one simple promise:

Fortune favors the ruthless.

"You can either roll over and die or you can keep fighting, no matter what."
-Dean Winchester
BACKGROUND

IGHt2ct.png

Kitrine "Kit" Ryiah's life began long before her birth.

Centuries earlier, her mother, unaware she was pregnant, banished herself to a frozen prison beneath the waters of Naboo, entombed in stasis and silence. Time passed without measure until she was discovered and recovered, barely alive and suffering from severe hibernation sickness. It was in Theed Hospital, as her mother fought to survive, that Kit was born, an unexpected life pulled from the edge of oblivion.

With her mother unable to care for her, Kit was placed in a children's home on Naboo, where she was raised among other orphans. But the time spent frozen before her birth left its mark. Her body ran unnaturally cold, her skin marked by uneven pigmentation, and she was highly susceptible to frostbite even in mild conditions. Doctors speculated that the prolonged stasis and hibernation sickness had altered her development in ways they could not fully understand.

From a young age, Kit knew she was different, and so did everyone else.

She was often teased for her strange appearance and cold touch, but hardship only sharpened her spirit. Kit grew into a bold, fiery child, driven by curiosity and a need to prove she belonged. She became known for sneaking out of the children's home, dragging other orphans along on reckless little adventures through the streets and waterways of Naboo.

Yet something far more dangerous simmered beneath her resilience.

The Force within her was powerful but unstable. She had little control over it, and during moments of fear, anger, or excitement, her abilities would erupt unpredictably. Objects would shatter, temperatures would plummet, and those around her would feel the surge of something vast and untamed.

Fearing for her safety and that of others, the orphanage made a difficult decision.

Kitrine Ryiah was sent to the Jedi.

There, it was hoped, she might learn to master the volatile power within her… before it consumed her.

Keeper of Bitter Tales from the Galaxy

eChR8Vf.png

K23IUB0.png

The New Jedi Praxeum of Chalacta rose not from triumph, but from the quiet aftermath of collapse.

In the wake of the Battle of Artisia, where the Galactic Alliance was ultimately overwhelmed by exhaustion and dwindling resources, the fragile structure of galactic governance gave way. The Senate dissolved into silence, and the Jedi, long entangled in service to the state, found themselves unmoored when the Council withdrew from political affairs. Without a unifying order or purpose, many Jedi scattered across the galaxy, seeking refuge among isolated enclaves, splinter sects, or wandering alone with only the Force as their guide.
It was in this fractured era that the Praxeum was conceived.

Constructed on the serene and contemplative world of Chalacta, long associated with philosophical reflection and Force study, the New Jedi Praxeum was envisioned as both sanctuary and renewal. Its purpose was not to restore the New Jedi Order as it once was, but to reimagine it, and to build something resilient, adaptive, and unbound from the failures of the past. The Praxeum serves as a home for displaced Jedi and Force-sensitives, offering a place to train, study, and deepen their connection to the Force. Its teachings emphasize balance, self-awareness, and service to the galaxy, not as agents of any government, but as guardians guided by conscience and compassion. Here, the next generation of Jedi is not molded into a rigid doctrine, but encouraged to explore diverse philosophies of the Force while remaining grounded in shared ethical principles.

Leadership within the Praxeum reflects this philosophy. While a small guiding council exists to maintain cohesion and provide wisdom, authority is not centralized. Every Jedi, whether initiate, knight, or master, is granted a voice in the community. Decisions are shaped through dialogue rather than decree, fostering a culture of mutual respect and collective responsibility. This structure allows for a dynamic and evolving Order, one that learns from its members as much as it guides them.

Architecturally, the Praxeum mirrors its ideals. Open halls, circular chambers, and interconnected spaces replace the hierarchical grandeur of the old Temple. Meditation gardens blend seamlessly with training grounds, and archives of ancient knowledge stand alongside spaces for debate and reflection. It is a place designed not to elevate some above others, but to bring all into harmony.

More than a refuge, the New Jedi Praxeum is a statement:

that even in the aftermath of loss, the Force endures, and through it, a new path can be forged.

"I'd like to welcome all our new students to the Jedi Academy. Here we will train you in the ways of the Force. You will learn to defend yourself with a lightsaber. You will also study diplomacy, history, and more."

―Luke Skywalker on the Jedi Praxeum

COqUyb8.png

mQwPu42.png

  • Structure Name: New Jedi Praxeum
  • Classification: Temple & School
  • Location: Chalacta
  • Affiliation: New Jedi Praxeum
  • Accessibility: The Praxeum sits on the edges of one of the cities of Chalacta. It is guarded by a temple guard but it is not hidden. It stands as a proud symbol of the Jedi in this region. The public can access portions of the temple to request an audience with the Jedi, but many of it's areas are reserved for members only.
  • Description: This temple rises as both structure and statement as an austere, monumental expression of Jedi discipline and spiritual ascent on Chalacta. The steep, ascending approach with wide steps leading to a recessed entrance, creates a physical and symbolic journey inward, encouraging visitors to slow, reflect, and leave the distractions of the outer world behind. Its symmetrical, tapering form draws the eye upward, while a steep, processional approach invites reflection and separation from the outer world. Built from heavy stone and metal, its angular buttresses and vertical lines convey permanence and focus, softened by subtle Jedi iconography and open courtyards for meditation. Light and space are used deliberately, giving the temple a quiet, almost sacred presence that feels less like a place of comfort and more like a space for inward growth, balance, and attunement to the Force.

Praxeum Gates
The steep, ascending approach with wide steps leading to a recessed entrance, creates a physical and symbolic journey inward, encouraging visitors to slow, reflect, and leave the distractions of the outer world behind. There are only two entry points into the structure, the front main gate and the back gate. This is an added security measure.

Nu2bcub.png

Common Area
The Praxeum's common area serves as a quiet heart within the temple and is a space intentionally designed for connection, reflection, and rest. Centered around a still reflecting pool, the open hall is lined with low stone seating and softened by natural light filtering through high arches, creating an atmosphere that feels both grounded and expansive. Here, students and faculty gather informally, sharing conversations, studying ancient texts, or simply sitting in companionable silence. The balance of warmth and openness encourages community without disrupting the contemplative nature of the Jedi path, making it a place where relationships are formed, ideas are exchanged, and moments of peace are found between the demands of training and duty.

Ne5ikH7.png

Living Quarters
The living quarters of the Praxeum are designed with quiet simplicity and purpose, reflecting the Jedi balance between discipline and personal space. Padawans reside in modest dormitory wings, where each student is given a small private room equipped with a bed, desk, and personal refresher unit, while shared common rooms encourage study, conversation, and the development of camaraderie among peers. In contrast, Jedi Knights and Masters are afforded more spacious quarters that maintain the same minimalist aesthetic but include attached offices and a small sitting room, allowing them to meditate, work, receive visitors, or reflect in private without leaving their living space. Guest quarters are thoughtfully arranged as well and, slightly larger than Padawan rooms and outfitted with essential comforts, providing visiting dignitaries or traveling Jedi with a welcoming, functional place to rest. Throughout all levels, the architecture remains cohesive: clean stone lines, warm light, and an atmosphere that prioritizes focus, reflection, and a sense of quiet belonging.

3nGNY6r.png

Hangar
The Praxeum's hangar seamlessly blends ancient, temple-like architecture with modern starship functionality, creating a space that feels both grounded and forward-looking. Towering stone pillars and angular supports rise toward broad skylights, where natural light pours in and reflects off polished landing platforms marked with clean, geometric lines. The hangar is spacious yet orderly, with designated bays for Jedi starfighters and transport vessels, each equipped with integrated maintenance systems, concealed power couplings, and discreet droid stations. Elevated walkways and observation decks line the upper levels, allowing technicians and Jedi to oversee operations without disrupting the calm flow of activity below. Despite its scale, the space retains a sense of quiet intention, less like a military facility and more like an extension of the temple itself, where preparation, repair, and departure are approached with the same mindfulness as meditation or study.

jn3zKuR.png

Garden & Grounds
The temple gardens of the Praxeum extend beyond simple beauty, serving as a living space of cultivation, care, and service. Lush terraces and stone-lined pathways weave through vibrant plant life, where members of the Service Corps tend to crops used both within the temple and to support nearby communities. Dedicated farming plots and hydroponic systems ensure sustainable growth in all seasons, while enclosed terrariums nurture delicate or rare ecosystems under careful balance. Nearby, quiet stables and sheltered habitats provide space for animal care and protection, reflecting the Jedi commitment to stewardship of all living beings. Though functional in purpose, the gardens remain serene and intentional, a place where labor becomes meditation, and where nurturing life is understood as an extension of the Force itself.

ZAyOnTz.png

Training Course
The outdoor training course of the Praxeum is designed as a dynamic extension of Jedi discipline, blending physical challenge with mindful awareness. Set among the temple's towering stone architecture and open skies, the course features a series of interconnected obstacles such as balance beams, climbing walls, suspended rings, and shifting platforms all crafted from the same angular materials as the temple itself. Each element is intentionally varied, encouraging Padawans to develop agility, strength, and coordination while remaining centered in the Force. Instructors observe from nearby platforms or walk the grounds, offering guidance as needed, while the layout allows multiple students to train simultaneously without disrupting one another's focus. Though rigorous, the space retains a sense of openness and calm, where movement becomes a form of meditation and each obstacle is not simply to be overcome, but understood.

Training Dojo
The training dojo of the Praxeum is a disciplined yet adaptable space where physical mastery and mindful awareness converge. Set within towering stone architecture and illuminated by natural light from high skylights, the dojo is used for both lightsaber instruction and hand-to-hand martial arts drawn from a variety of cultures, reflecting the Jedi commitment to learning from the broader galaxy. Smooth training floors and modular practice platforms allow for individual drills, paired sparring, and group instruction, while instructors guide students in refining both technique and control. Integrated holographic systems can transform the space into a range of simulated environments, from confined interiors to open battlefields, providing advanced learners with immersive, scenario-based training. Beyond the main dojo area there is a connected fitness center where Jedi of all levels can keep in shape for demanding conditions. Despite its versatility, the dojo maintains a calm, focused atmosphere, where each movement is treated not just as combat practice, but as an extension of balance within the Force.

Detention Center
The detention center of the Praxeum reflects the difficult balance between justice and compassion, a necessary presence in a region once dominated by Black Sun influence. Built within the same imposing stone architecture as the rest of the temple, the facility is secure yet intentionally restrained, designed not to punish, but to contain and protect while due process unfolds. Individual holding cells are enclosed by reinforced transparisteel and energy barriers, monitored by discreet surveillance systems and patrolling security droids, ensuring constant oversight without an oppressive atmosphere. The space is well-lit and orderly, with clean lines and minimal austerity, reinforcing the Jedi belief that even those who have caused harm are still part of the Force. Interrogation and holding areas are structured to prioritize clarity, truth, and de-escalation, allowing Jedi to pursue justice without cruelty. Though it stands in contrast to the more serene areas of the Praxeum, the detention center remains guided by the same philosophy: that peace is not the absence of conflict, but the mindful handling of it.

Archives
The temple archives serve as the intellectual and scholarly heart of the Praxeum, a space where knowledge is preserved, studied, and continually expanded. Vast, carefully organized repositories hold an extensive collection of galactic history, Jedi teachings, cultural records, holocrons, artifacts, and scientific data, accessible through both physical storage and advanced holographic systems. Surrounding the central archive are dedicated classroom spaces, where lectures, discussions, and instruction take place, allowing Padawans and advanced students to engage directly with both instructors and primary sources. Beyond these learning areas, specialized research centers support Jedi pursuing deeper study in fields such as archaeology, biology, and other disciplines, providing laboratories, analysis tools, and collaborative workspaces. Despite its scale and technological sophistication, the archives maintain a calm, contemplative atmosphere, one that encourages curiosity, critical thought, and a lifelong commitment to understanding the Force through knowledge.

Cafeteria & Kitchen
The Praxeum's cafeteria is a vast, open gathering space designed to foster community while maintaining the temple's calm, reflective atmosphere. Long stone and wood tables stretch across the hall, encouraging Jedi of all ranks to sit together, share meals, and engage in quiet conversation or companionable silence. Natural light pours in from high skylights, illuminating the space with a warm, inviting glow that softens the otherwise monumental architecture. Adjacent to the dining hall is a large, fully equipped kitchen where Jedi can prepare their own meals, often treating the act of cooking as a form of moving meditation. Workstations are arranged to allow both individual focus and collaborative effort, and the steady rhythm of chopping, stirring, and preparation becomes an extension of Jedi discipline. Together, the cafeteria and kitchens serve not just as places of nourishment, but as spaces where mindfulness, community, and daily life intersect.

Hospital Wing
The Hospital Wing of the Praxeum is a place of healing, service, and quiet compassion, designed to care for both Jedi and the surrounding community. Accessible through a discreet rear entrance, the emergency ward remains open to the local population, offering immediate care in times of crisis and reflecting the Jedi commitment to service beyond the temple walls. Inside, the space expands into a bright, serene medical complex where advanced technology and the healing practices of the Force work in harmony. A dedicated clinic serves as both a treatment center and a training ground, where Jedi study the arts of healing under careful guidance, learning to balance skill, empathy, and restraint. Beyond this, long-term care units provide a calm, restorative environment for those requiring extended recovery, with private rooms, attentive care, and spaces designed to promote both physical, psychological, and emotional well-being. Throughout the wing, the atmosphere remains steady and reassuring, less clinical than most medical facilities, and instead grounded in the Jedi philosophy that healing is not only the repair of the body, but the restoration of balance.

Meditation Chamber
The meditation chamber of the Praxeum is a space of profound stillness, designed to quiet the mind and deepen one's connection to the Force. Open and symmetrical, the chamber is framed by smooth stone floors, towering arches, and soft natural light streaming through angled skylights, creating an atmosphere that feels both grounded and expansive. Individual meditation cushions are arranged with intention, allowing Jedi to sit in quiet unity while maintaining personal focus. The absence of distraction, no flowing water, no unnecessary ornamentation, centers attention inward, while subtle elements such as low ambient lighting and natural greenery along the edges provide a sense of calm balance. At the far end, a softly illuminated Jedi symbol serves as a focal point, reminding all who enter of their shared purpose. Whether used for group meditation or solitary reflection, the chamber is a sanctuary of clarity, where stillness becomes a path to understanding and harmony with the Force.

Great Hall
The Great Hall of the Praxeum stands as the ceremonial heart of the temple, a vast, luminous space where the most meaningful milestones of Jedi life are honored. Defined by towering stone columns, geometric symmetry, and expansive skylights, the hall is filled with soft, natural light that gives each gathering a sense of clarity and reverence. At its center, a raised dais serves as the focal point for knighting and mastering ceremonies, framed by the emblem of the Jedi Order and subtle banners that reflect tradition without excess. Tiered seating and surrounding galleries allow Jedi of all ranks to witness these moments, reinforcing the communal nature of the Order. Though grand in scale, the hall maintains a quiet dignity, ensuring that ceremonies remain focused on purpose rather than spectacle. It is equally suited for formal conclaves and assemblies, offering a space where decisions are made, honors are bestowed, and the legacy of the Jedi is both remembered and carried forward.

Council Chambers
The Council Chambers of the Praxeum reflect a philosophy of guidance without hierarchy, designed less as a seat of authority and more as a space for shared reflection. The room is circular and open, with chairs arranged in a broad half-circle rather than a raised dais, symbolizing that while some Jedi may hold more experience, all voices are valued. Natural light pours in through tall, angular windows, illuminating the warm stone surfaces and creating an atmosphere of clarity and calm. At the center, a simple focal point, often a low light or symbolic marker, grounds discussion without dominating it. The chamber is used not only by senior Jedi but also for wider gatherings, where Knights, Masters, and even Padawans may be invited to contribute. In this way, the space embodies the Praxeum's more collaborative ethos: wisdom is not imposed from above, but cultivated through dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared connection to the Force.

High : The Praxeum's security is designed to be both formidable and unobtrusive, blending advanced technology with Jedi awareness. A layered deflector shield system can envelop the entire complex, capable of repelling both orbital strikes and ground assaults while remaining nearly invisible when inactive. Discreet sensor arrays embedded within the structure monitor energy signatures, lifeforms, and approaching vessels long before they reach the temple grounds. Entry points are limited and secured by biometric and Force-attuned access systems, ensuring only authorized individuals, or those recognized through the Force, may pass. Hidden defense emplacements, including retractable turbolaser turrets and ion cannons, provide protection without disrupting the temple's aesthetic, while internal safeguards such as sealed corridors and energy barriers can isolate threats instantly. Yet, the temple's greatest defense lies in its inhabitants: Jedi trained in awareness and restraint, capable of sensing danger before it manifests, making the Praxeum as much a living guardian as a fortified sanctuary.

The New Jedi Praxeum on Chalacta was born from a moment of disorientation and clarity in equal measure. When Katarine Ryiah emerged from carbonite, she found a galaxy profoundly changed: the Jedi were no longer unified, but scattered across independent orders, sects, and enclaves, many of them entangled with or beholden to political powers. In the wake of the Galactic Alliance's fall, countless Jedi were left without purpose, guidance, or a place to belong. For Katarine, this fragmentation was not only ideological but deeply personal; her years as a Jedi Investigator had honed her skills but left her isolated from the communal bonds that once defined the Order. Recognizing both the need for unity and her own longing for connection, she chose Chalacta as the foundation for something new. The Praxeum was envisioned not as a return to the rigid structures of the past, but as a living, evolving sanctuary: a place where displaced Jedi could gather, where knowledge could be shared freely, and where a new generation could be trained to serve the galaxy with wisdom, independence, and compassion.

Phase One: Dawn of the Praxeum
900 ABY

Phase One marks the rebirth of the Jedi through the opening of the New Jedi Praxeum on Chalacta, a sanctuary built not from the ashes of the past, but from the promise of what comes next. As Jedi from across the galaxy gather, carrying with them fragments of fractured traditions and uncertain futures, the Praxeum becomes a place of unity, learning, and renewal. At its heart lies a single purpose: to nurture a new generation of Jedi into one shaped not by the failures of old orders, but by connection, balance, and a shared vision for the galaxy ahead.
