  • These ballistae are huge in size, made for a rather special ballista. They are archaic, meaning they have no electronic devices in them, yet they are very brutal and effective.
  • Several different types of arrows have been added to make these ballistae quite diverse. They increase the number of terrains and combat in which they can be used.
  • They don’t have any modern equipment or accessories, but Scar Hounds artillerists are used to it and they can work great without the targeting computers. So this is ideal for them, but it can be annoying for the enemy, if they are able to capture such a ballista and they want to use it against the Scar Hounds.
  • All the weapons are very durable, though because of the raw material, which makes it difficult to destroy them.
  • Ballistae are engineering marvels, and the fact that old archaic weapons can be used on the battlefield is not lost in the modern age either. Ballistae are able to exert tremendous force, so they can shoot arrows at incredibly great and extreme distances.

  • Distance: The ballista was designed and built to be able to fire arrows at extreme distances. It can exert a tremendous force when shooting, so it can deliver the huge arrows to extreme distances.
  • Archaic: The advantage of this is that even if one tries to stop or neutralise these weapons, it will not succeed because these are completely mechanical, they do not contain any electronics.
  • Durable: The weapons are very durable and strong, precisely because of this and for the material from which it is made, it is very difficult to destroy.
  • Devastating: Due to their material and special abilities, arrows can deal massive damage and may be able to penetrate most materials, even the beskar.
  • Repair: Thanks to the Dral Kayatr, the ballistae are able to repair themselves.
1yaMUUd.png

  • Distance: How effective it is depending on the state of the ballista, if the ballista is damaged or does not work perfectly, the arrow will not reach its maximum range.
  • Archaic: The arrow will fly in the direction it is fired, unable to change direction or change its trajectory. That’s why it’s archaic, it takes more people to use these weapons.
  • The Wire: As with ballistae in general, the arrows are fired by the help of wire, if someone cuts or destroys them, the ballista will be useless.
  • Special Arrow: Because these ballistae are very special and unique (even if they are mass-produced), they only work with the Howls of Doom arrows. It is unlikely that anyone, anywhere will produce or find arrows of a size that is good for these. So artillerists can only use the ballistae with these arrows, with nothing else.
  • Ammunition Capacity: Because it’s about ballistae, it only fits one arrow at a time and needs to be recharged after each use. Thus, the rate of fire is also quite low.
  • Repair: Although the Dral Kayatr and thus the ballistae are able to regenerate, however it can easily get too much damage that this metal can no longer repair anymore. Because the metal can be damaged so that regeneration is no longer effective, not to mention the regeneration is a slow process, in battle this is useless.

The Scar Hounds Tribe has a myriad of different weapons, walkers, droids, soldiers, but they have only a few long-ranged weapons. It was for this reason that members of the tribe who understood the design of the weapon were thinking about what kind of weapon could be made to suit the tribe. One of the best in the tribe, Forgemaster Bashnag was one of the last of his people who still dwelled on Mar'Zambul, he was the one who designed these arrows and the huge weapons that belonged to these arrows.

The Scar Hounds Tribe has been fighting the Ashlan Crusade and the Eternal Empire lately, thanks to the weapons and vehicles captured, destroyed and collected. They also had access to the raw materials of the HPI Consortium. From which these arrows were also made. The tribe had previously worked with the Pride through Keilara Kala'myr Keilara Kala'myr (Mercy), who is on Terraris, so even now they were the ones who helped make these weapons and arrows in larger numbers.

Ballistae are quite large, as are arrows, so more people are needed to operate and use them. It’s completely mechanical, with no electronics in it, so engineers and artillerists have to do everything without any computer help. The Scar Hound artillerists have experience in calculating trajectories without computer aids, so this is one of the reasons why is no targeting computer in them. The other is it minimises the possibility that someone will be able to neutralise these. The EMP and Ion attack is completely ineffective on these.

Several different varieties were produced to be used in several different combat situations. Due to their weight and size, they are quite dangerous and can wreak havoc. It's just arrows with a simple Dral Kayatr head, but that can be further enhanced by filling the arrowheads with various other materials. These are archaic weapons, but damn effective and brutal.

And that’s why these fit perfectly into the Scar Hounds Tribe's arsenal.

Not least, the ballistae are also available to individual buyers through the HPI Consortium's marketplace.
