For generations more than recorded history tells, the Beorni lived in isolation and exile. Their civilization forsaken and forgotten by those younger races of men that they had earlier welcomed, teaching the Valkyri of the Force and their spiritual, peaceful ways of life.
Then, one day, their isolation had ended. And, most remarkably of all, one of them voyaged out into the greater galaxy as one of the Silver Jedi. That bright, shining star had been the Jedi Knight, Kiriko Howlingfjord, who singularly re-connected his people to the larger cosmic community through adventures both small and great. From the farthest reaches of the Outer Rum, from Chiss space to the worlds of the Galactic Alliance, Kiriko Howlingfjord was an inspiration for a new generation of Beorni... before sacrificing his life to save the people of Thyferra from the cruelty of the Sith.
Named for the titular hero of modern Beorni folklore, Kiriko Dawntreader is a member of the Dawnstar clans of the Beorni. In the distant past, it had been the Dawnstars who had looked to the stars and been the astronomers of auld. And, perhaps inspired by his namesake, Kiriko Dawntreader will return his people to the stars.
