BASIC INFORMATION
NAME: Kira Vaal
FACTION: Herself, The Mara-Perlemian Trade Council.
RANK: Master (This is purely her level of ability, Kira identifies as a Jedi and not by knight, master or such titles.)
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 26
SEX: Female
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Where Kira is young it would be wise to not take it as evidence to inability. Within this young Corellian the Force has found itself a useful and powerful host, who in a short time has moved from a orphaned chancer to a self-proclaimed Jedi Knight. This speedy rise has given Kira, an impatience towards the normality of the galaxy, a trait that can often see her become reckless and looking towards the future. Within steel, wires and electrics, Kira truly comes to life. A skilled mechanic and an even more adapted pilot, she is highly capable of controlling most ships she could be tasked too. Even now, especially in recent years Kira has found herself fighting the taint of doubt and pain that came with her attempt to stand against the enemies of freedom, a fear that the dark side is slowly closing its grasp upon her becoming ever more present in her mind.

APPEARANCE:
Standing at just on five and a half foot Kira is not the tallest in this galaxy of heroes and villains, she also isn’t the most physically powerful by a long shot. An athletic build that is lithe and lean, conditioned by years of being outside of the wealthier civilised places of the galaxy. Dark hair is matched with hazel eyes that where once full of hope and dreams now show a life beyond her years, seeing much of the wonders and terrors the galaxy has to hold. Her features are soft, yet littered in evidence of harder times, a scar here, a cut there; each tells a different story of a galaxy that has not and will not be devoid of war. For Kira clothing worn is to be no more then what is necessary for the task at hand, simple cloth, leather and other materials found cheaply around the galaxy make for modest dressing, however she harboured a deep desired love of the extravagant, always taking the time to study it if found.

BIOGRAPHY:
Early Life

The young girl who would grow to become Jedi Kira Vaal is as lost to annuals of history as it is to Kira herself. Born on Corellia before the collapse to a wealthy estate and loving parents, it was thought that she would want for nothing in her years to come, and she very nearly would have lived out this prediction if it had not been for the coming of war.
Like many children on Corellia, Kira was dispatched by her parents to protect her from the shadows defending upon her planet. Loaded onto a shuttle with a designated safe house in mind on another planet within the Cornelian system, it is believed that she watched as the planet she called home, the place where her entire family remained was slowly torn asunder by the power wielded that night, a glistening jewel in the sky aflame with grief and death. It was this very event that would force Kira into a life she was never intended for, this touch of destiny that the Force guided her towards its own purpose.

Years would pass and Kira would move from foster to foster, a similar situation to the many millions of young across the sector who with the breaking found themselves orphans of ‘Brokellia’, yet like these others she never stayed in one place for long. Her rebellious nature driving her off into the stars in search of purpose and truth to why she was so lost to herself and the galaxy as a whole.
Upon her fifteenth year she left the fosters behind for good and found herself in the care of a professor of history and culture upon the planet of Lothal. Dal’toro, a Duros who through his years had seen many things and collected much was this professor and in Kira he saw something that was to be harnessed and grown. He discovered in her the passion for the forgotten and wasted places of the galaxy and filled her head with the stories of the past, the dreams of Rebellion, tyranny of Empires and the romanticisation of the Jedi. She was adapt and capable of doing the work he was no longer able to do and she took great joy in travelling to worlds far out of the way in order to search for artefacts and treasures Dal’toro would be after. It was through Dal’toro that Kira would eventually move into freelance work, operating as a mercenary historian and archeologist. The job did not pay well, but kept her on the move, keeping her mind busy and gave her a means in the galaxy.

Continuing onwards through the galaxy Kira eventually found herself in the employ of a [member="Raien Keth"], a Sith Knight who at the time was going under the guise of a bulk trader and collector to gain possession of a powerful Sith artefact. Travelling with Raien, Kira headed into Hutt Space where through manipulated invite partook in the Hutt tradition of the Granee Noopa, a Hutt feast turned gladiatorial arena. By winning the Granee Noopa, Raien and by extension Kira were given hefty rewards and free passage through the Hutt Worlds allowing them to eventually land on one of the abandoned and forbidden Hutt Crown Planets. While she should have walked away with her reward from the Hutts which was beyond belief Kira continued onwards and together the pair, following clues centuries old ended up on Parkath, uncovering fragments of the armour belonging to Sith Lord Darth Krayt, two fragments were Raien’s to keep, from which he created an armour that infused his soul with that of the Lord who came before, one piece however was kept by Kira, who felt a strange connection with it. The first steps as one would say.

The Galactic Alliance

At this point Kira and Raien parted ways, or Raien did at least. Kira was left with a ship, a pair of brutal Messassi bodyguards and a hefty sack of credits and loot. Yet where most would go into an easy retirement Kira instead returned to Lothal, where she would meet her mentor and old friend one last time. Dal’toro had fallen in deep with loan brokers and petty thieves, his continued investment into archaeological digs and treasure finding had brought him to the hands of the wrong crowd who were now exerting pressure upon the old Duro to pay his fees or suffer the consequences. By the time Kira had arrived it was already too late, while still alive there was little she could do to save his life, only listen to his last request of her. Which was to take his research to a friend on Sullust, one who could continue his life’s work in order to see it come to fruition.
Kira as always did as she was told, packed up his work and took to Sullust, the throne world of the newly formed and increasingly popular Galactic Alliance.

With the Republic cracking in the core against an increased Sith assault, the Alliance had become a haven for refugees, wanderers and soldiers. It’s ideals sat upon the foundation of freedom and fighting back against the tyranny of the One Sith in the core. The lessons and stories of Dal’toro flooded back to Kira like a tidal wave of emotion and want, her new home instantly found as she was quick to settle and begin her work for the Alliance.
However there wasn’t much work to be had for a young salvager out of nowhere within the great military focus, so she took to moving goods across the increasingly wide battlefront of the Alliance-Sith war.

For a while it was a simple life of space travel with medical supplies and the like however she soon became intwined with a small group of independents outside of the Alliance known as the Underground. The Underground, were in ever respects nothing but a nonsense group of spacers with too much time on their hands. Dedicated to smuggling and resisting sith occupation throughout the galaxy, the small group of resistance fighters instantly made Kira feel at home, her small ship and cargo turning from medical supplies to weapons and her casual fight runs into blockade skipping. There is no argument that while showing a natural gift for piloting and mechanical prowess it was in the Underground that she truly learnt her talent for ships.
Her passion for all things free were only bolstered by those around her and with such famous names as [member="Jorus Merrill"] and [member="Coren Starchaser"] how could she not have felt the passion for Rebellion against the higher cause.

In this time many had made comment of her presence within the force, stating it having a strong tremor, yet having never shown any ability or indeed understanding many wrote it off as a mere anomaly the force was so frequent in making.

The Millennium Falcon

As the war on the One Sith continued Kira became interested in the works of her late friend Dal’toro and having given the contents of his studies to a Sullustian Historian called Bok, Kira found herself drawn towards obtaining what she could and aiding in what way was possible.
A series of expeditions had led Kira down a spiralling staircase of rumour and myth, having obtained century old star maps as well as an old BB unit that seemingly carried itself unfound through the Gulag Plague. It was these discovers that launched a near four year search and eventual discovery of the ancient and legendary YT-1300 known as the Millennium Falcon.
Finding it in the crash site of a New Republic cruiser that had become stranded after falling through a hyperspace anomaly, Kira had been forced to take it into her care after forces from the One Sith had descended on its Jungle resting place in search of the fabled legend.
The Falcon, and Kira then spent the next year on the Underground’s travelling station, Rebel Actual. All funds she had made from her earlier adventures were pumped into the restoration and modernisation of the YT freighter, with parts being delivered from all across the galaxy and some of the best technicians known working on her.

Kira would finally be able to call the Falcon hers after it was forced into action against the One Sith, the YT once again becoming present in events that were leading in changing the galaxy. It was also now that Kira was pulled into the service of the Strategic Information Service thanks to her continued actions within the Underground, gaining the rank of General and once again filling a role within the Galactic Alliance that suited her belief.

I, Jedi.

While serving for the SIS Kira was dispatched on an undercover mission to Corellia, the goal was to try and get a feel into the Corellian League, a small localised rebellion that had been formed to move against the Sith occupation. However the mission became sidetracked when Kira, following a series of visions she said had come to her in her sleep came across an ancient temple deep in the broken crusts of the planet. It was inside this temple that her connection with the Force was fully revealed and her path would forever be dominated by the destiny that the Force had chosen for her.

She pushed it away as she could, instead putting her time and ability into becoming an effective agent for the SIS and Alliance. Yet as the time drew to an end on the Sith Alliance War she found herself among similar people, gifted with a lightsaber and assigned to a daring raid aimed at removing the head of the One Sith and reclaiming Coruscant for the Alliance.
The battle of Coruscant was devastating for both sides, loses in the millions and the smell would remain with Kira for the rest of her life, yet fight she did. Infiltrating the Sith Temple with a team of Jedi she held the surface entrances with blaster and saber to allow the trained masters time to remove the dark taint from the Nexus that lay beneath the idolisation statues of ancient Sith. Her connection had never been stronger and it finally revealed that Kira was to truly train as a Jedi.

Her training however would never materialise, in-formal sessions within the New Jedi Order and the Green Jedi on liberated Corellia gave her the basics, however most of what she knew had to be done through self-teaching and tutorage from ancient artefacts found among Del’Toro’s workings. This had led to her being, although remarkable strong in the force limited in her capacity for technique, as well as never being gifted a formal rank within any of the established Jedi orders. To most she is simply a Jedi. No more, no less.

The Omega Crisis

The Omega crisis was Kira’s true trial by fire and her spotlight into galactic events beyond her station. She was responsible for the slaying of the Overseer, a droid who had been in charge of countless slaves and mineral harvesting for the Rogue Sith. Her duel atop of the mining complex claiming the droids life and very nearly her own.
She was also responsible in part for the destruction of the Omega Weapon itself, flying the Falcon through impossible areas in order to fire off concussion missiles at just the right time to send a chain reaction through the entire station and destroy it. In the chaos that followed Kira, along with her Alliance based team disappeared into wild space to avoid the fighting slowly erupting between the Galactic Alliance and the First Order.

The Rebellion, the First Order War and the Imperial Resistance.

In this time the First Order had expanded violently, often leaving many Alliance worlds under their ever watchful gaze. It had created situations for Kira as an SIS agent to move around freely and operate against them, which resulted in Kira forming with the Alliance’s support a Rebellion movement that could move unhindered and unattached to aid where necessary. Keashena was their first deployment and Kira took to the battlefield in an attempt to expose the lies of the First Order and hopefully derail their motions of advance, however it wasn’t to be and the agent was left injured and exhausted after a duel atop of the transmission tower with a Master of Ren. Yet again Kira was left to question her own abilities as with a small fleet the Rebellion departed the First Order warfront and headed towards the next coming threat. The Galactic Empire.

Kira’s Rebellion was short lived. It was destroyed in its entirety above Scarif and the remnants mopped up over Bothawui, for the Imperials had become much more of a threat then first thought. Even the SIS refused aid when requested as the treaty signed with the First Order had tied the Alliance down into a demilitarisation pact and now they were defenceless to aid the other parts of the galaxy not already within their borders.
It was an act that nearly killed Kira, but the Falcon disappeared from galactic events entirely and the young Jedi faded into the shadows of wild space.
In her absence evil grew once more. The Sith rose from their gutters, the First Order continued conquest across the rim and the Empire slowly but surely gained another half for Imperialisation. The Silver Jedi were all but destroyed and finally the eyes of evil fell upon the Alliance.
Yet the Force was not done with her yet.

A Jedi Knight, [member="Jagen Wren"] crash landed on the planet that Kira had fallen into solitude upon and a series of events saw the young Jedi, who had spent her isolation training her mind and soul thrown back into the galaxy with a bang. The Falcon bringing her back…now at the moment when evil seems to be making its true victory moves.

Thyferra and Beyond.

The Alliance was not what she remembered. Now full of dark sided practitioners and criminals Kira departed Alliance space during the Sith invasion of Thyferra, her faith shattered in what it had become. She now travels looking for a new home, a new place to practice her trade, and rumours are of a movement along the Mara Corridor. A place where the Falcon currently heads towards…

SHIP: The Millennium Falcon
Yes the Millennium Falcon. Kira’s ever constant companion and most treasured possession. After a complex series of adventures that resided on fate and clues, the Falcon was found amongst the survivors of a hyperspace anomaly accident. An act of fate would see Kira become its newest captain and ever since she has poured credit after credit with loving generosity into the ship to make it modern and effective in a time far beyond its original purpose.
As fast as the legends say and as entwined with fate as the Force wants it to be there is no finer ship in the galaxy to serve as Kira’s personal craft.
