[SIZE=9pt]As with the replacement of the Legion droid from the company’s past, the engineers at Aurora Industries began work on a new droid to replace the old Arachnid model as it was considered obsolete and a reminder of what the company had been. Moving more towards a heavy version of what they previously designed, the Aurora engineers created the Kinrath War Droid.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The Kinrath War Droid upgrades almost every aspect of the old Arachnid droids, giving the droid dual layered turadium plating and a deflector shield generator that projects a ray shield around the unit. The weapons have been traded out for a compositie beam cannon for the left hand, while two repeating blaster cannons and two vibroblades form the weaponry on the right. The Kinrath is also equipped with two of Aurora’s Si-Cryo power cores to allow all systems to be run at optimal levels. The Kinrath exchanges the cable launcher the Arachnid used to scale surfaces with magnetic pads in the feet to allow it to scale and stick to metallic surfaces.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]However, the droid is vulnerable to ion and EMP weaponry, which easily can bring it down. The droid is also quite heavy, weighing in at around 160 kilograms, so it is unable to actually sneak anywhere. The shield it produces also is unable to block any physical weaponry such as a blade or slugthrower round.[/SIZE]
