Every few months, females lay clutches of 4-10 eggs, typically unfertilized by the much smaller and tasty males. They defend their clutches aggressively, but are otherwise hostile only when hungry. Kinrakkas are basically impossible to domesticate or control. They are also quite stupid.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Velok the Elder bred the kinrakkas from kinraths at his alchemy lab on Felucia in roughly 836ABY. He emptied and evacuated the lab shortly thereafter, when he and the archivist Lord Dissero stole the Sith Empire's archives. The kinrakkas were his last project before he left. Some took up residence in the Felucian jungle. Velok established small colonies of kinrakkas on various worlds with diverse biomes. He found that kinrakkas responded best to temperate grassland climates, like the Dantooine plains where the kinraths lived.

Kinrakkas make terrible warbeasts and guard animals. The point of them is their eggs.

The galaxy has very few naturally-occurring kyber crystals that derive from biological, rather than geological, processes. Dantari kyber crystals can be found in some kinrath eggs.
Kinrakka eggs are more likely than kinrath eggs to contain Dantari crystals of a size and quality suitable for a lightsaber.

Years later, Velok the Younger and the Toglannoq managed to get kinrakkas to live in geothermal caves in the region of Rukhearth and Uglaqq City. Though most Toglannoq do not use lightsabers, the Dantari crystals are a valuable trade commodity, and their source a closely guarded secret.

Linked the planet. Leaving the image as just the link because it's a whole gallery.
