DESCRIPTION

Hardly anyone in the underlevels can remember a time when the dingy little shop with the "Kingsley & Kingsley" sign out front wasn't in business below the most frequented spaceport on Terminus. With no evidence of him ever taking a sick day or time off to sleep, Kingsley has been running his little antiques shop for decades at least, despite several allegedly legitimate eye witness accounts of him being spotted offworld throughout that time. There are no end of questions one might ask about K&K, starting with how did a Hiitian end up owning a little shop on Terminus in the first place and ending with how could it possibly stay in business catering to Outer Rim clientele.

The answer, of course, gives things a certain clarity. Its owner has long been known as a purchaser of illegal goods in all manner of volume. More than that, if you know the right people or have heard the right stories, the shop is also known in certain circles to purvey in objects imbued with power or otherwise in some way profound to a variety of Force sects. It would seem inevitable that after so long dealing with unpredictable and dangerous Force adepts, a seemingly harmless creature such as Kingsley would have long ago met a grim end. Yet there he remains, behind the same old desk in the same old shop.

In all the time the business has been running, there has been no sign or even mention of another Kingsley. If a customer attempts to bring this inconsistency up with the owner, he quickly changes the subject.

RATIONALE

It is unclear exactly what the Hiit's interests are in Force artifacts, perhaps simply the extreme thrill of dealing with impatient buyers wielding lightsabers, but Kingsley has long been known to run in the sort of disreputable circles that might have need of the type of services that can exchange ill gotten gains for clean credits. Despite his establishment's ill repute, the Hiit genuinely seems passionate about history and artifact hunting, even going so far as to take legitimate contracts with Core world museums to acquire must have pieces.
