King of the dust Hill (Mandalorians vs Sith)

Grozurra politely declined the offer of snacks with a silent shaking of the head and a raised hand. As the music came to a stop, so too did the armored mandalorian's nodding head. Now slightly bored, the wookiee began flipping through holonet channels on his helmet's HUD. The Sith Knight known as Arvis Syphex held his lightsaber in his hand. The gunship had crashed quite heavily, but his armour had protected him from the kinetic damage. He had rooted himself into the ground, when the ship had crashed, so he was mostly alright. Just the fact that he had crashed into one of the walls jarred him a little bit.

"Emperor. We shall end them, together." The always loyal Pureblood said. His helmet was in place, concealing his features and he grinned behind it. He unclipped one of the two lightsabers that were upon his belt hooks. The Mandalorians would pay for taking the capital of the Sith Empire.

He looked to the side of the shuttle that seemed to be facing where the gate had been. He ignited the blue lightsaber that he had stolen from the Jedi on Dac into the side of the shuttle and carved a circle in the shuttle that was large enough for Krag and Arvis to pass through together unhindered.

Summoning the power of the Force to his free hand, he ate up the power of the dark side that was the bogan nexus over the Sith Citadel and he smiled underneath his mask. He felt empowered, he was ready. Throwing his hand forwards to the door that was waiting to be made, the force surged out of it and slammed into it and without hesitation it flew out and into the Citadel's gates.

With the complete power of Darth Naefas, and the anger he felt at the loss of his Empire's capital, from the death that he sensed from the planet, from the dark side nexus that practically wafted from the earth itself, the large circular piece that had once been apart of the shuttle flew out of it's place and flew at Kalordo Lah. Though Naefas didn't know he was there, due to him being a Yuuzhan Vong and unable to sensing him within the Force.

Stepping out of the side of the shuttle with his lightsaber ignited, he looked to the yuuzhan vong in front of him. His own amphistaff was upon his back, but he didn't think he would need to use it against the yuuzhan vong. No...No he wouldn't. He was just an obstacle.

Kalordo dropped in under the door as it blew away. He watchuhhed the red creature emerge and he could see it's desire for blood for conquest.

The Warmaster wanted his emperor but if he had to step over some rubble to get to him he would do so.

He readied his spear and held it tip forward at the Sith. Soundlessly he waited for the Sith to brandish his weapon and advance.

Vinyata stood coldly on the bridge of the Ranator-Class Supercarrier the Vortex. She gazed out onto the Mandalorian fleet, which was splitting into three sections, while the powerful heavier-gunned Sith Fleet approached them. Although she was not the longest-serving member of the Imperial military, Vinyata’s invaluable knowledge on carrier command coupled with the fact the Sith Empire was losing valuable resources and commanders fast had landed her as the commander of the Vortex. The ship was magnificent and huge, it measured 2,000meters long and contained innumerable fighter, bomber, and shuttle squadrons. The offensive and defensive power of this prized Imperial vessel lied in its ability to engage at long distances with its starfighters. The bridge of the carrier was well-protected too with superior armor-plating and most of the controls located rear of the observation tower so the loss of one wouldn’t doom the ship. Although Vinyata hadn’t had too much time to get acquainted with the crew of the Vortex, she sensed they were efficient, knowledgeable, and loyal. Despite feeling uncertain about their new commander, they continued to perform their tasks with the upmost efficiency, and they were vying for revenge on the Mandalorians. In response, Vinyata’s carrier background and her respect of the crew bred a healthy relationship, necessary for making and executing key decisions on a carrier in the heat of a battle.

Vinyata looked down upon the large table that displayed a 3D holographic display containing information on the Sith and Mandalorian fleets. The Vortex was located toward the center of the Sith battle formation-grouped with the other Ranator super-carriers, waiting to deploy their terrific fighter arsenals. Considering the Mandalorian fleet was trying to stay out of gun range, reaching them with fighters would be a top priority. Surrounding the display were various Imperial Commanders. Commander Jeran stood at Vinyata’s right side, and rightfully so, he had been the commander at Vinyata’s side during the Old Republic, through stasis and during the wars occurring right now. Admiral Yalek stood across from Vinyata, his role would be to take control of the Vortex if and when Vinyata decided to lead fighter squadrons into the fray. Several other officers stood around expectantly as well.

“Our current orders are to maintain formation.” Vinyata spoke, pointing at the Sith Fleet projection, “However, I still want all squadrons armed and ready for takeoff as soon as possible. Also, the MAAT gunships need to be outfitted and loaded with Marines for the boarding operations.” Vinyata explained. The crew of the Vortex had been feverishly working to arm the squadrons and prepare them for takeoff. Vinyata glanced at a display, all Taral-Class Fighter Squadrons were armed and ready for takeoff, 60% of the Galaxy bombers were ready for takeoff, and 50% of the Spectre Fighter Squadrons were armed and ready.

“Commander Jeran, are the troops of the Serpent Legion ready?” Vinyata inquired. Vinyata had taken a detachment of about 2,000 troopers from the Serpent Legion on this mission to work in conjunction with the MAAT gunships to board the Mandalorian cruisers, as well as hundreds of T1 Battle Droids to serve the same function.

“The troops are equipped and outfitted for vacuum combat, and are awaiting to be loaded onto the MAAT gunships.” Jeran replied

“Excellent, I want this ship to hold formation, Yalek, I want you to take command, I am going to go down to the hangar bay and prepare the boarding party."

Balaya heard the man and leaned back in the seat while she looked on the command screen showing the large holoprojection of the battle field more as the mandalorian fleet started their break away. The star destroyed stayed within range of each other and continued to form a V with the Tulak at the front. She looked at the mandalorian ships more and spoke. "Have the front line move to quarter impulse and prepare to hold position. Move the Apotheosis and Imparator into the shadow of the fleet. Fighters screen around them while we send in the TIE detonators. Always wanted to see it that fabled drone could kill a fleet."

A small smile was on her face as from the end of it all she spoke. "Eruna hold position, do not use your ship until we see everything understood. Launch on my order." Her eyes flicked back as the four renators were selected and the orders to launch their combined swarm of one hundred and ninety two TIE detonators came. The compliment was big but the drones could do as needed without wasting lives, plus it lets her dispose of on hundred and ninety two nukes ob board the ships. Not something you really want to carry into a fight. She still didn't want to guess why they needed so many that didn't really replace the Galaxy class bomber.

"All Renator's launch your TIE detonators and keep scanners full. Lets see first what we are facing and if the fabled victory at Yaga with these was a tall tale or just someones incompetence. She was guessing the latter while the holoimage changed to show the drones flying out of the hanger bays and towards the enemy fleet. "Have the ships head to the bridge and engines sections of the largest ships in their fleet. Hopefully the droid brains can count the length but I am not holding my breath." Her hand clenched the side of the throne and a small idea came.

"Patch me through to Vinyata." The technicians in their little pits went to work as Balaya spoke to the Renator and offered a small smile. "Vinyata have your people prepared for boarding. We're going to send you for the command ship if we can locate it understood? All ships spread out but stay within optimal range of each other and the furthest range of the lead ship. Lock onto targets at extreme range and fire all salvo's."

To the eyes of the Force, the cloaking field, and the fighter screen, didn't even exist. As Ember swooped his stealth fighter up underneath the formation, though, he could sense to minds of the pilots defending the special ship. The hibridium-cloaked vessel slipped silently through the fighter screen, trusting in the immense amounts of ships present to send out enough exhaust to mask his own -- and chaotically enough that he wouldn't leave a trail.

His fighter arced over and rose toward the Imperator's low-profile bridge. If undetected, he would nestle the stealth fighter up against the roof of the bridge.

"Sir!"

"I saw it, move!" He and a small group of Mandalorians made their way to the crash site, as he ran by, he smacked @[member="Preliat Mantis"] on the side of his helmet. "I said let's move, we ain't takin' any chances with that!" As the group of Mandalorians surrounded the crash site he cringed. Anything that survived that...Couldn't be anything short of a monster. One of the towers, still in range trained its point-defense gun on the wreckage. Standing, with his back to the palace, the old man's eyes narrowed.

Training his rifle along with the others he called for them to let two of the clean-up droids to get through and start picking up the wreckage. Something wasn't right. Something didn't sit with his stomach.

He stepped out of the hole that had been created in the side of the shuttle. He watched the yuuzhan vong that he felt he knew dodge around the piece of metal that flew at it. He grinned to himself, he would kill his first yuuzhan vong on this day, or at least defeat one. It would be broken.

He ignited the crimson blade as he walked out of the side of the shuttle. His force shield formed itself over him almost instantaneously after he had walked out of the shuttle. The shield was powerful enough to stop slug rounds, maybe, but that was why he wore armour.

Naefas threw his free hand at the yuuzhan vong, summoning the power of the dark side as it started to bend only to extend forward at it. And then once his arm had reached as far as it would go without being torn out of his socket, the purple lightning crackled on the edge of his finger tips and flew at Kalordo Lah, the yuuzhan vong Warmaster.

Vinyata weaves through the corridors of the Vortex as she made her way toward the main hangar bay. Her datapad had received a transmission from Darth containing orders to board the enemy command ship once it was located. Arrogance and pride flowed through Vinyata at receiving the critical assignment. I will not fail you master Vinyata thought. Pushing a button on her comlik, Vinyata contacted Admiral Yalek, who was in the command bridge.

"Admiral, we have orders to board the enemy command ship. Ready the guns, prepare to engage at long range, and order the fighter and bomber squadrons to vanguard the shuttles." Vinyata commanded.

"Understood sir." Yalek replied.

"All squadrons, outfit for boarding mission, scouts, deploy and locate the Mandalorian command ship ASAP." Yalek commander over the ship intercom as Vinyata entered the main hangar bay.

Flight and deck crews and maintenance droids scrambled as they outfitted the various Bomber and fighter squadrons with fuel and payloads. Taral class fighters and Galaxy class bombers were sorted into their respective squadrons and lined in neat methodical rows along the hangar bay. Two shields at each end of the hangar bay about 1,000 feet apart protected it from the vacuum of space. Vinyata walked at a fast pace to where all 70 S90 MAAT gunships were located. The Vortex had outfitted itself with more MAAT gunships than usual for this particular battle. These were the Imperial gunships that were fast and used for insertion and extraction missions, and were perfect for boarding missions. S90's possessed a lethal armament, could carry up to 30 troops, and were fast and maneuverable, making them more than capable of rapid tactical insertion and extraction. The gunships were painted black with red and silver decals.

Standing by the gunships were a contingent of Vinyata's Serpent Legion, clad in sleek lethal black combat armor adorned with personalized purple markings, bearing an array of high-tech weaponry. As Vinyata approached, she could sense them ease up, she sensed loyalty and devotion, something that many campaigns on the frontline, a charismatic leader like herself, and the respect of leader and lead had breed. As was customary when Vinyata addressed her troops, she looked upon them, smiling and giving a nod of acknowledgement.

"We have been assigned with a critical mission." Vinyata said, the Serpent Legion was accustomed to hearing these words. "The fleet is currently attempting to locate the Mandalorian command ship. When they do, we will be tasked with taking it out. Our success could win or lose this battle for the Empire." No legionary tensed up, they remained calm and collected about the dangerous mission ahead, although the legion had an affection for the empire, they were more concerned about their own reputation, and their loyalty to their commander.

"All of you will receive a tactical readout of their command ship once it is located, and I will give you further commands from their. The Mandalorians will suffer for what they did to Kaas." Vinyata's words encouraged them and made them hunger the battle ahead.

The old Warmaster dove to the side as the crackling lightening tore through the space he had just occupied. The Sith always wanted to play the lightening card. The big Vong rolled and regained his feet. holding his spear pointed back at the Sith he stood again waiting and still silent. He kept on the ready muscles tensed and ready to spring. He wasn't sure how he would deal with the Sith's lightsaber but he still had a few tricks up his old sleeves.

EN ROUTE TO Pellaeon-Class MK II DESTROYER

The fight on the planet had been something to see and then all the destruction. More so once the rocks had fallen and she saw Larraq levels a planet.... Something to behold but then they were or at least some of them back in the fight. The weapons she had lost being replaced with more equipment and some of the new stuff as Basaba secured the shoulder cannon on linking it to her helmet. The large sith fleet looming as she let a breath out, removing the dust covered helmet that made the pale blue armor nearly greyish white. "Go for one of the Pellaeon's and prepare to fight, we're taking it whil the fleet distracts the enemy."

While the Vong may have had difficulty coming up with a plan to deal with the Sith that arrived, Preliat hadn't. The Rally Master gave off a roar that could only come from a Mandalorian, and swung his beskad out of it's sheath on his back. He stared at the Sith for a while, and came at his flank, in a slow pace. Removing one of his Westar-34s, he began to fire at the Sith, the powerful red bolts screeching from the long, elegant barrel. He fired multiple times, and accurately. He was getting good at shooting with them, and it showed. He held his beskad downward, but ready to use the short length to parry any incoming lightsaber attack.

Larraq watched passively as the Sith fleet slowly pondered forward as a single mass. Here and there, fighers were launched from various ships. Nothing truly noteworthy until one of the Star Destroyers disgorged itself of its fighters. There were still too far away to discern fighters from bombers, or the specific makeup of what the enemy planned to throw at them. But the small swarm of ships mingled with the significantly fewer ships launched from other Star Destroyers. The ships seemed to organize themselves into waves and then began accelerating rapidly towards the Mandalorian fleets.

<And so the dance begins.> Larraq thought to himself as he stared at the viewscreen in front of him. “Support Fleet, come about.” Larraq said as he gave orders to his fleet. “Set course to center-point, 90 from current. All formations launch whatever stealth-capable ships you have. Fighters are to escort Support Fleet and engage at commander's discretion.” Like before, his voice bounced from ship to ship on encrypted frequencies instead of broadcasting universally from a central point.

On his viewscreen, Larraq watched as the small formation of 15 Corvettes separated itself from Charlie Formation. It was the lightest and fastest formation at the moment and had been pulling well ahead of the other two formations. As it came about, it rotated itself until it was at 90 degrees from the angle it had previously adopted. This put the formation at a 60 degree angle heading roughly towards the center of planet. The cluster of corvettes then began accelerating rapidly towards the center point between the three Mandalorian formations. It was able to accelerate faster than either of the other two formations and quickly began pulling ahead. Even more rapidly, numerous stealth ships separated themselves from their carrying vessels and swiftly approached the corvettes. From Charlie formation itself, 25 Cabur-class Starfighters raced behind the corvettes. From alpha and bravo formations, a total of 24 Neta'norac Stealth Fighters and 96 Resol'nare Stealth Fighters/Transports made their way to rendaivu with the Corvettes before they intercepted the approaching Sith fighters.

As they grew nearer, the ship's computer slowly classified each Sith fighter that approached his fleet. The data he had collected was proving invaluable, as the rough estimations of speed and armament filled in his display for each class of fighter that approached his fleet. 60 TIE Taral Starfighters, 48 TIE Galaxy Bombers, 36 Dominus Starfighters, 192 TIE Detonators, 70 S90 MAAT Gunships, (and 50 Z3 Aerial Attack Drones??) displayed on his screen. The Gunships and bombers would be enough of a concern. The relatively heavy firepower a few of these ships could bring to bare could rival that of a corvette. But what concerned Larraq the most was the TIE Detonators. Reports from the battle of Yaga Minor had indicated that the vessels were little more than flying bombs.

The Sith's launch craft could be dealt with. The gunships and bombers could be dealt with. And if those gunships were planning to do the only obvious thing a gunship could do beyond getting infantry to a planet... They would soon be in for a surprise. What the galaxy seemed to keep forgetting... was that even the scientists and engineers of Mandalorian culture were some of the best fighters in the galaxy. Whatever poor soul had though boarding a Mandalorian warship was a good idea would soon be in for the shock of a lifetime.

What gave Larraq a moment of pause... was the nearly two hundred nuclear bombs moving towards his ships. Nuclear weapons were far from effective in the void of space. Unless they were directly touching the hull of a ship upon detonation, all they really did was create a brief thermal bloom. But still... The potential for a threat was there. And it was a potential that Larraq was prepared to make good use of. "Keep the enemy fighters between yourself and the Sith fleet. Prioritize targeting the TIE Detonators. They should identify correctly on your sensors, but if you have an issue they will be the ones with the abnormal energy signature. And for frells sake, don't be near those things when they blow." Larraq said into his communicator, knowing that the encrypted signal would be bounced around the fleet before being transmitted to the corvettes and fighters that approached the Sith fighters.

He watched as @[member="Preliat Mantis"] came around to his flank only to pull out his melee weapon and begin to fire upon him with a blaster. He had his own, strapped to his chest. But that was one of the last resort weapons that he had and he doubted he would need it to fight a yuuzhan vong and a Mandalorian.

"How is Mandalore?" He said with a grin underneath his helmet. His lightsaber spun to parry the concentrated bolts from the blaster. He let a force shield form over his body again, due to the second attacker. When he parried the bolts, he redirected a few of them to the yuuzhan vong to try and strike him, or at least wound him.

His eyes flicked over to the shuttle piece that he had cut out before that was lying on the ground. Lifting up his hand, he summoned the Force to his hand, and from feeding on the dark sided nexus that was Dromund Kaas, he picked up the piece of shuttle effortlessly and threw it at the side of the Mandalorian. He figured he could see it, since it was most probably in the vision of his peripherals. But he didn't care.

After the shuttle was enroute to the Mandalorian he sent the Force around the Mandalorian and tried to constrict him to hold him in place with a grip, so that by the time the piece of metal hit him it would be able to knock him out, or just utterly crush him by the time it got to him.

Kalordo was wholly unintimidated by the red skinned Sith. He began to advance as the bolts stuck the aged Vaonduum Crabshell the living armor reacted by digging its claws in breifly but little else.

Kalordo rather than slow explosed at the Sith and as his red arm rose, Klaordo's spear came down with a two hand strike at his shoulder. If the Sith continued his attack this way the. Heavy bone spear would likely break or disjoint his shoulder. Neither would increase his life expectancy.

A blast overhead sent Kaliya sprawling for cover as the entire ground shook for a moment. She had been trained for battle but nothing could prepare one for war. And the force was so thick with the dark side the feeling was so sickening. She caught herself grasping her stomach as nausea appeared as a physical manifestation of her nerves and found herself jumping up and down in the nearby fabricated base that had been deployed she was one of the grunts more commonly noted to be cannon fodder. But she was determined that would not be her, as she began to pump herself up remembering her trials growing up as a Mandalorian soldier. She grasped her twin slug-throwers while mentally checking that her force-breaker grenades and sonic grenades were armed right. Somehow the sense of those items being ready inspired a sense of accomplishment within the young soldier.

Her superior finally gave her litter the orders to join the battle and she shot off like a rocket into battle. Her senses were going haywire but it mattered not she was a mandalorian so her natural senses were always enough or so she told herself. A young sith probably no more than an experience apprentice came charging at her in a beserkers rage, Kaliya took off to the left of her scaling up a nearby wall only to stand atop of it and as she swung her slugthrowers around aiming them for the apprentice she merciless unloaded at that apprentice and to the man's folly he didn't seem to get the concept of why she used slugthrowers because as he attempted to deflect them two pierced him; one in the shoulder and the other in the lower left side of the stomach.

She gave him a few more rounds until he completely stopped moving and began to make her way for the roof-tops. Force users and more notably Sith often thought themselves infallible which often made them fallible to area of effect type attacks. Looking around along the rooftops she saw a Mandalorian bombing squad and she rallied them together as she began to scope out the targets for her using her natural eyes sight and her force sense as well.

The sudden ripple as the Republic fleet exited hyperspace was something to behold when the massive MC180 and Watts classes shot out. The sounds of klaxons blaring as they all went about preparing and readied in fighters. Weapons were manned, fighters began swarming while the wash of Sarianna in the meditation chamber came over its crew. She wasn't the strongest, she wasn't in the league of spencer or je'gan but with the boost from the chamber and sigil and her focus on two force powers compared to most it would help out some as the blind battlemaster sat there. Lotus position focused and ready the captain of the ship had strict orders to not disturb her unless it was absolutely needed.

So he didn't as the four hundred and fifty five long range turbolasers took aim across the thirteen cruisers. Their speed putting their long guns within range of the sith fleet. The mass drivers positioning themselves to add to the fire with three hundred and ninety shots. Their resolve stronger and their stamina higher that small edge she could offer them and the rest of the Mandalorians who could maybe feel it. All calmness and iron clad resolve with a piece of acuity thrown in. "This is Admiral Dodonna of the Republic fleet, we have pulled off a small force from engagements at Mon Calamari and are here to assist you."

Contrary to belief, Arvis wasn't swinging his lightsaber around like a madman, instead he was using quick flicks of his wrist to block and deflect the blaster bolts. But when the yuuzhan vong came at him, he saw him easily enough and simply sidestepped around the yuuzhan vong's slash, and swayed around him so that he was in the line of fire instead of him.

While he was moving he reversed the grip on his lightsaber and plunged it backwards into the chest of the yuuzhan vong for a quick and easy kill. With the Force augmenting his strength and speed, ignoring the fact his strength was augmented through experiments, he figured he'd be able to just finish the beast off easily, and then continue with the Mandalorian.
