Killjoys

Hmm it was not what she was expecting when she returned.... though given how most of Havoc squad had just said frak it and vanished as opposed to turning against or making a scene she was guessing few cared. The snipers though since she didn't care about having a new squad were the important things, all of that work they could give and put into the new recruits or older ones as it seemed. This women who had signed up for a snipers excursion was for the most part highly trained and showed more skill then some of the others. So Willa was more then happy to work with her while providing some form of incentive and excitement when they were landing on the planet. The jedi had searched it, some of the other soldiers but they were loud while the two of them could move quietly and provide themselves with a little more gear then usual. Mostly her obscenely large sniper cannon for handling the really large dangers across the world that had been found. Some sithspawn were across the planet but they all centered towards the large lake. She had the very powerful rifle with its case of shots as well as her two additonal rifles. The anti-material and sasori rifle loaded with the acid rounds for eating away armor. She was ready for anything while the other sniper being brought with her was former corsec so she didn't really expect her to whine or complain too much. THey were still in a semi cramped ship orbiting the planet. Thankfully the rac had one of the skyfall jeeps and was one of the better stealth ships in the galaxy.

Symara tugged at the faded CorSec jacket that hugged her, her hair was pinned up. She was ready to train, to get back into action. Slung on her back was the ol' rifle, wasn't the best thing in the box but it was hers and she knew it better than she knew her own hand sometimes. She was in a cramped little ship, that orbited around the planet that they were to land on. Symara leaned over, elbows on her knees. It'd been awhile since she last used her rifle, flipping it over she felt it with her fingertips. It was all she had these days, and these days things that reminded her of home were almost more important ther life. Almost.

While CorSec was officially no more, she'd been hitting the 'bricks' so to speak. Trying to find any signs that someone might still be alive, and even if that hope was fading. Symara was determined to keep up her skills. Someone banged on the wall, they were going in for their landing. Slinging it rifle back across her back she adjusted the strap and hoped that one day she could see herself back in action.

The Rac came in for them to land, it might be small but the stealth ship was every bit as powerful as many of the things. Coming out finally when it came touching down while the doors opened and Willa stood near the skyfall jeep. The ultra lightweight transport was fast with a cannon owoman. "You ready to go?" The Vahla had her helmet off with the hood down while her small braids were all set up with crystals and gemstones. "We have time but we do want to get some good stuff, we'll hit the canyon and around the lake. Scout and recon with careful targets. Sometimes sith might be around checking the world and there might be some other creatures on the planet." Will got into the jeep at the driver seat moving over the equipment as the dar'yaim sniper that was mounted to it worked nice for attacking large creatures in case some of the dangerous creatures were there.

"Locked and loaded," Symara replied, holding her sniper rifle close to her chest. It wasn't the fanciest sniper rifle around but when it hit, it hurt a lot. She watched the other woman climb into the transport vehicle, the Corellian slid into the passenger seat and slung her rifle around so that it rested on her back. She kept a hand on her heavy blaster pistol as she tugged at the generic combat suit she wore. It was cheap and usually worked for the basic of fights, and she didn't foresee the need to over encumber herself.

Plus, she always learned the hard way. "Sounds good, I'll follow your lead... " Come to think of it, she hadn't asked for the name of her respective CO on this mission. "Don't think I ever asked for your name?" Smart thinkin' there Tarriq, good thing you actually read the papers that at least had the Republic's logo and trademarks stamped all over the place. She held on as the jeep moved forward, doing her best to keep her eyes on the landscape ahead.

Willa looked at her and taking in her armor it was strange, she couldn't remember when she wore the really lightweight and practical armors. In truth she was loaded up for being out in the field for weeks at a time waiting for those perfect shots. She had her cannon as well as the normal sniper for handling things when the skyfall was going over the rocky surface of the planet heading towards the large canyons with a look at the screen. She had something on her mind but stayed back before lifting her helmet and sliding it onto the suit for the dust when she looked out. The range finder and telescopic sections of it leading the way towards the canyon itself when she stopped at the small alcove of it. Going into it where there were some defenses and the signs someone had lived here or was living here as the homestead came into view and she could feel the force energies of the canyon. The Sunrider family made their home here and Willa was all for the hard work the jedi family did to maintain it and the lake of the dangerous creatures. "THis is a jedi homestead, one of the more famous jedi houses are here but it is the fallback location should anything happen."

Symara secured her helmet as the jeep rolled along the terrain. The glow of light from the planet's star broke through and for once, Symara was glad to be in her helmet rather than having to take on the harsh light on her own. So far the ride had been smooth, well smooth for a jeep. The woman beside her seemed comfortable enough in her own armor although Symara suspected this might've been partly because of that special tag, Havoc Squad. There's a legendary unit you don't run into every day. So, the Corellian considered herself lucky.

As they approached a homestead somewhere along a canyon's edge, she noted it's location to her helmet's interactive display. So that she could fall back here should anything happen. "Copy that." She confirmed to the woman beside her. "Jedi, huh?" She asked with a shrug, call it an old Corellian thing - but Symara didn't believe in a hokey religion. "Right, are we disembarking here or elsewhere?"

She pulled it up near the homestead as there was a section for it and other vehicles if they were needed. A few people were inside and Willa acknowledged them while she was speaking. "From here we go up and over towards the lake. Hssiss are nasty things that like to sneak up on anything." She stood up in the jedi black armor while leaving the cloak around herself, leviathan hide with a krayt dragon shoulder pad on her armor while she was moving and fired off a line launcher to start ascending up the canyon as she was moving. The toolkit switching modular weapons while she turned on the motion trackers to look for movement. The darkside dragons were dangerous but they could be detected when she heard something. "Wait... these arrived for you." Willa was up there and turned as she was holding herself on the canyon wall with a look over some of the things turning to see them. "What do you mean?" Willa was looking at the one little girl lugging a case at her side and it was one of the equipment cases they had for her unit. So it looked official and she grabbed it with her hand looking at the datapad that came with it. "Looks like the director of technology has some new equipment for us to test out. Something for protection from lightsabers and the force." Willa took the case for herself as she had some more weight but in the power armor it wasn't that heavy going up the canyon wall giving a nod to the girl.
