Kilaado Engineering Corporation: The biggest engineering corporation on Lanteeb, KEC works to build vehicle components such as engines, brakes, pistons, and chassis. It’s hard to miss the big KEC building smack in the middle of Kilaado. They’re perhaps the largest employer group in the city providing jobs to just over a quarter of the population.
Dent-N-Droid: Much like it’s Junker City location, the Kilaado location provides a large warehouse filled with various parts and pieces for droids. With regular shipments from its Lotho Minor partner, the Kilaado branch works to offer a wide array of parts for its customers.
The Smelter’s Yard: Rejected parts and pieces of vehicles come here to be smelted back down into raw materials and recycled into other projects. The Smelter’s Yard also offers to train a select few who are looking to get into the Smelting and Welding trades.
Duros Bro. Motors: A pair of Duros own and run this motor shop working to repair and custom make vehicles for the paying customer.
Big Folkers Wheel: Ran by a group of Gamorreans they rival the Duros Brothers in repair and the creation of custom vehicles.
The Anvil and Forge: A smithy shop with a cantina attached, don’t worry the cantina is down stairs. The local Kilaado smiths will help create whatever it is you need, and you can head down stairs for a drink or something to eat while you wait.
Kilaado Imperial Shipworks: New to the city of industry, KISW is a branch from Cloud City Imperial Shipworks and works to create smaller vessels and components thereof for the First Order.
The Hammer’s Strike: A larger and more well known cantina it sits in the heart of the industiral city’s downtown. The Hammer’s Strike is about three stories tall and offers a wide variety of pleasures for those who seek them. Rumor has it that the Hammer’s Strike is run by a Hutt although those would just be rumors.
Brendham Docks: A large starport that is reserved for freighters this is how goods are shipped in and out of the city, accessible to the public only by rail.
Port Knapford: This is where most of the city’s population get to and from the city and around First Order space. This large starport serves everyone in the First Order, both Knapford and Brendham hold some of the larger imperial customs offices.
Description: A manufacturer’s dream city, Kilaado is built to create whatever it is a nation’s heart might desire. With factories throughout the city, both below and above the surface of the city. Kilaado is all about hard work, and because they work hard the people here also play hard. Grease and grime seem to be everywhere, along with various smokes and chemical smells from several of the factories. A city where there are about as many food trucks as there are factories.
History: The city of industry, Kilaado was founded sometime after the four hundred years of darkness. It was founded with a single factory and a set of houses nearby for the workers. Soon it began to expand and before anyone knew it Kilaado became the go to factory city on Lanteeb. The city has expanded to include different types of production, but its main source of production has yet to change. Ever since it was founded Kilaado has always been able to produce vehicles whether it was for a military campaign or to suit some tycoon’s newest fad. The industrial city has always been able to produce with great quality vehicles.
Eventually like most of the region the city would fall under the First Order’s flag, and the question of its production abilities came up. The First Order would not interfere, but would begin to assign different vehicles to be produced in varying parts of the city. The First Order also expanded on Kilaado adding districts to build and refine components, raw materials and ore into other pieces to be shipped across Lanteeb and to other factories across the nation. Kilaado now serves as one of the First Order’s finer industrial cities.
Intent: To flesh out First Order lore, and provide the First Order with more cities to RP in.
