CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:
FALLEN ASHINA
Khuro Fierfek began her life as Ashina Kuroha [蘆名氏 黒羽], the only child of Ashina Shinsuke [葦名弦 心丞] and born in the Hirata Domain towards the middle of the Jishi Era on Atrisia. Her name. Kuroha [黒羽] translates to: Black Flower in Atrisian and is a reference to her mother Kuroyuri [黒百合] which means: Black Lily. Kuroha's mother Kuroyuri was a descendant of a Sansin Princess of Jar'Kai and was major influence on Kuroha's sense of beauty and charm.

While her father Shinsuke was a well-known bladesmaster of the Ashina, even attracting the attention of the Emperor's Yovshin Swordsmen and they would even employ him as an Imperial Sword Instructor. Kuroha was born in the same generation of Ashina Scions as Inosuke Ashina and Ishida Ashina , whom were both her neices and nephews as children of Ashina Genchiro (Shinsuke's older brother).

Shinsuke did not take him having a daughter as a reason not to pass down his skills. Kuroha was brutally and relentlessly trained by her father in both the arts of the Yovshin Jar'Kai Swordsmenship as well the esoteric arts of Ashina's Force-Religion. Shinsuke continously pressured Kuroha into competing with the children of Genichiro. Shinsuke's bitter jealousy with Genichiro was heavily bred into Kuroha's upbringing.

The defeat of Genichiro's own son Inosuke in a duel with his father and his subsequent exile was seen as a great victory in his eyes of his children over Genichiro's. While Inosuke and Ishida were with the New Jedi Order, the arrogance of Shinsuke grew and turned into treachery when he rallied a group of swordsmen from his own retinue to overthrow Genichiro. He claimed that as the better swordsmen with better progeny he deserved by might the right to rule the Ashina.

Kuroha, obsessed with being the warrior-son her father always wanted, joined in the attempted assassination. The coup went poorly. Genichiro slew Shinsuke and when Kuroha tried to avenge her father, Genichiro himself sliced off her left forearm. Most of the Ashina Shinsuke Household, upon hearing of their master's defeat, committed suicide, including Kuroha's mother Kuroyuri. But Kuroha herself, filled with shame and overcome with fear, ran, fleeing into the Atrisian wilderness and eventually off-world. She would never return home.

Ikken Hissatsu Battō Kōgeki (一拳必殺抜刀攻撃):

An off-shoot of Yovshin Swordsmenship, Ikken Hissatsu Battō Kōgeki - "One Strike One Kill Drawing-Sword Attack" - or more simply Ikken Hissatsu "One Strike One Kill", is a rapid sword fast-draw technique designed to catch an opponent unawares in a preemptive strike and kill them in one swift attack. The technique requires great hand-eye-coordination, control, and timing; augmented with the Force - through techniques such as Force Speed and Force Reflex - and it becomes a lightning-quick form of swordplay. However, should the opponent escape the first strike, the practitioner is left exposed to counter-attack if they aren't given ample time to shift into a different technique to compensate.​
