- Strength enhancement alchemy based on Ludo Kressh's armband (applies when holding or wearing the mace).
- Gorgeous Freedon Nadd-era style and iconography.
- Nimble for a mace, well-balanced for duelling, and certainly more suitable for it than Ashin's other mace, Kotsirluuk.
- The mace is high-end alchemical metal, more or less indestructible short of sustained Force Light or a one-way trip into a star.
- The mace is easy to carry and use regardless of the owner's physical strength. It also has a very nice shock-absorbing handle.
- Pound for pound, a mace is a better choice against heavy armor than a blade would be. Khovesk is more than capable of concussing a Jedi super-soldier right through his righteously impregnable beskar helmet — or knocking said Jedi super soldier on his righteously impregnable ass.
- Like most maces, this mace has all the cutting power of a cardboard tube on Life Day morning.
- Under the influence of ysalamiri, void stone, or Force Light, the strength enchantment has no effect.
- This mace, like most maces, has no crossguard — a hazard in duelling, though also not a bad opportunity to bait the right opponent.
Ashin has carried maces for years, hearkening back to her longtime love of a good heavy-armor brawl. Khovesk ('That Which Frees From Consciousness') is the newest addition to her collection, a nice every-day carry mace. It's far more maneuverable than Kotsirluuk, her Naddist bludgeon of special purpose, and a significantly simpler implement. She typically carries Khovesk on her belt, either hanging from a cord or clip or snug in a leather holder. The Aksifas made a handful of the Khovesk maces as gifts, awards, and potential barter or payment in kind.
